Othal Wallace Manhunt Focuses on Atlanta; Reward Now $200,000
Posted on | June 25, 2021 | Comments Off on Othal Wallace Manhunt Focuses on Atlanta; Reward Now $200,000

Updating the previous story about Othal Wallace, who was seen on bodycam video shooting a police officer in Daytona Beach, Florida, the reward for his capture has now been increased to $200,000, and U.S. Marshals have joined the manhunt for the armed and dangerous suspect, who may now be in the Atlanta area:
Atlanta police are on the lookout for an “armed and dangerous” suspect accused of shooting a Florida police officer in the head. . . .
Atlanta police have confirmed with FOX 5 that law enforcement in the metro Atlanta area has been advised to be on the lookout for Wallace.
According to investigators, his vehicle was last “pinged” in an area around Stockbridge, Georgia.
The wanted suspect was last seen driving a gray 2016 Honda HRV bearing California license plate 7TNX532.
Stockbridge is on I-75 southeast of Atlanta, and Wallace is believed to have relatives in the area. The 26-year-old police officer he shot in the head Wednesday night has undergone surgery but is still in critical condition. Notice that there is not “allegedly” about this — the crime was captured on video, and there is no doubt about Wallace’s guilt.

In fact, Wallace is a black nationalist and a member of an anti-white hate group, the NFAC, and posted social media messages boasting about his hatred of police as “pigs” whose blood he intended to shed. He was amassing an arsenal: “Investigators found guns and ammo stockpiled in an apartment belonging to a relative of Othal Wallace where the shooting occurred.” So while the Biden administration is busy prosecuting Trump supporters, this black radical was planning to kill cops:
Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood says an investigation into Othal Wallace has revealed a hatred for law enforcement.
The sheriff says he thinks it was only a matter of time before he tried to kill a police officer.
“What we’re discovering is, any law enforcement officer that came in contact with this guy, was going to get killed. Listen to his manifestos and see what he’s posting … you see the hatred that he’s putting out there to police. We have to eradicate that. We cannot allow hate to dominate our lives, and that’s what this motivation is,” Sheriff Chitwood said.
But you won’t see anything about this on CNN or MSNBC.
UPDATE: Welcome, Instapundit readers! As Ed Driscoll has already informed you, Othal Wallace was captured early this morning.

$100,000 Reward for Suspect Who Shot Daytona Beach Cop in the Head
Posted on | June 24, 2021 | Comments Off on $100,000 Reward for Suspect Who Shot Daytona Beach Cop in the Head

Hundreds of officers are searching for Othal Wallace:
A $100,000 reward is being offered for anyone who can help authorities locate a man accused of shooting a Daytona Beach police officer Wednesday night, according to Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood.
The suspect at the center of the manhunt was identified before 11:30 p.m. as 29-year-old Othal Wallace, and he’s believed to be driving a gray 2016 Honda HRV with the California license plate number 7TNX532, records show.
Chitwood’s tweets identifying Wallace also included still photos from body camera footage that appeared to show Wallace behind the wheel of the Honda.
The Daytona Beach Police Department said an officer was investigating a suspicious incident on Kingston Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday when he stopped replying to calls on his radio.
When additional units arrived, they found the officer lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the department.
The officer was rushed to Halifax Health, where he underwent surgery and was in critical condition. His name has not been released.
The Florida Highway Patrol said at about 10:45 p.m. that parts of Interstate 4 and Interstate 95 were being shut down in connection with the search for Wallace.
Dozens of patrol vehicles from multiple different Central Florida law enforcement agencies could also be seen near the shooting scene aiding in the search.
Wallace is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.
You may be surprised — if you know nothing about crime — to learn that the accused suspect has a prior criminal history:
According to court records, Wallace was arrested twice in 2018 in Broward County, where he was charged with domestic violence. The Office of the State Attorney chose not to pursue charges in one case, and adjudication was withheld in another.
The same year, Wallace was arrested by the West Melbourne Police Department after he was spotted driving recklessly on Interstate 95, records show.
According to his arrest report, he was pulled over, and officers found marijuana in his car. He was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of cannabis.
He pleaded no contest to the charges.
According to several police reports, Wallace listed his address as the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home in Enterprise, which is located in southern Volusia County.
Domestic violence, reckless driving, suspended violence, some weed — minor crimes, really, but indicative of a lawless disposition. Here’s a question for you: Why was Wallace, a Florida resident, behind the wheel of a car with California license plates? Could this be a telltale clue about the “suspicious incident” that the police officer was investigating?
We will learn more about this incident, and must hope the officer survives his wound, or otherwise Othal Wallace will be charged with murder — and it was all captured on the officer’s bodycam.
I’m sure CNN and Joe Biden will ignore this crime.

Joe Biden Blames Crime Surge on Mythical ‘Rogue’ Gun Dealers
Posted on | June 23, 2021 | Comments Off on Joe Biden Blames Crime Surge on Mythical ‘Rogue’ Gun Dealers
It’s a superstition, a snipe hunt, a pursuit of imaginary phantoms:
President Joe Biden launched a new crime prevention strategy Wednesday in a push to take on soaring gun violence as Republicans blame a rise in crime on calls from progressive activists to cut police funding.
In a speech from the White House, Biden announced a “zero-tolerance policy” for rogue gun dealers and a new focus by the Justice Department to try to stop the illegal sale of firearms. . . .
Biden’s plan includes a new Justice Department policy that will allow the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to revoke federal licenses of gun dealers the first time they violate federal law. Violations could include selling firearms to a prohibited buyer, failing to run required background checks or falsifying firearm transaction forms or other records. . . .
“We’ll find you and we will seek your license to sell guns,” Biden said of rogue sellers. “We’ll make sure you can’t sell death and mayhem on our streets. It’s an outrage. It has to end, and we’ll end it. Period.”
Biden called for additional federal money to hire more ATF inspectors and agents. He said the ATF also will begin publicizing inspection findings and enforcement actions . . .
The Justice Department plans to target the illegal flow of firearms across state lines through the creation of five new firearms strike forces. Authorities will coordinate with the ATF and cities and states to crack down on significant gun trafficking corridors that have diverted guns into New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay area and Washington, D.C.
“So legal guns sold from the backdoor of a gun shop in Virginia don’t end up in a murder scene in Baltimore,” Biden said.
This is not what is causing the surge of violent crime, and the policies Biden announced will do nothing to reverse the surge. Criminals aren’t acquiring guns through the “backdoor” of legal gun shops, but instead are either (a) acquiring them through straw purchasers or (b) stealing them.
What? You think a burglar or a car thief can’t steal a gun?
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — A 22-year-old bicyclist from was arrested on a weapons charge after colliding with a car, authorities said. After the crash, a reportedly witness told police that a handgun dropped out of the bicycle rider’s satchel, an Atlantic City police spokesman said. Detectives found that the handgun had been stolen in North Carolina, according to the police spokesman, Lt. Kevin Fair.
LYNDEN, Washington — On June 16, Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residential burglary report on the outskirts of Lynden, according to a department press release.??The homeowner reported that he had returned home from a trip to discover that the front door of his residence had been forced open. Inside, he found several of his firearm safes had been forced open as well. Upon a quick check on his inventory, he reported 29 stolen firearms. Video surveillance showed two suspects inside the house. Deputies immediately identified the suspects as Darrell Glenman, 51, and Kimberly Belles, 52, both of Blaine. Deputies recovered 27 of the stolen firearms from Glenman, who admitted to selling two of the stolen firearms and provided information on where he sold them. The remaining two firearms were located and recovered.
WOODLAND PARK, Colorado — A 35-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly rammed a stolen car into a Teller County Sheriff deputy’s vehicle and fought with deputies, the Sheriff’s Office said. Robert Anthony Leon was driving a 2019 Nissan Sentra when he struck the back of the deputy’s vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said. Leon allegedly led deputies, officers and Colorado State Patrol in a car chase that ended at U.S. 24 and Crystola, where he attempted to brake-check a deputy’s vehicle and stuck the highway’s guard rail before bouncing back into traffic, the Sheriff’s Office said. Officers swooped into pin Leon’s vehicle with their own. After a short struggle inside the vehicle, deputies arrested Leon and found a stolen gun he had under his leg, the Sheriff’s Office said.
MERIDEN, Connecticut — Two Meriden residents are facing charges in connection with a home invasion. Police said the incident took place on October 25th, 2020. Officers were called to a home on West Main Street on the report of a home invasion. While no injuries were reported, several guns were reportedly stolen.
FLORENCE, Colorado — A teenager was arrested after an officer received multiple reports that a student allegedly threatened to “shoot up” a school in Colorado. “A few hours later, a Fremont County sheriff’s deputy located and attempted to contact the suspect in Canon City,’ police wrote in a release. “The suspect was detained after a brief foot pursuit, and a stolen firearm was located in his possession. The juvenile was placed in custody by the Canon City Police for possession of the stolen firearm.”
TARPON SPRINGS, Florida — Three teenage boys were taken into custody this week in relation to multiple car burglaries, the Tarpon Springs Police Department reported. Officers began investigating the case at approximately 10:45 p.m., Monday, when responding to a call of an in-progress vehicle burglary in the 700 block of Driftwood Lane. A Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit and an air unit assisted TSPD officers and a 17-year-old male was taken into custody. The teen was charged with one count of burglary and the investigation developed two more juvenile suspects. Less than six hours later, at approximately 4:35 a.m., Tuesday, TSPD officers responded to the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue in reference to a report of another vehicle burglary. This incident resulted in the theft of a Smith and Wesson .380 M&P pistol from an unlocked vehicle, reports state.
Such a listing could be extended indefinitely. Criminals like guns. Criminals like stealing. What do criminals like to steal? Guns.
What this “crackdown” on alleged “rogue” gun dealers is really about is increasing ATF harassment of small mom-and-pop businesses. But it’s not the legal gun dealer who’s committing these crimes in America’s cities. The Biden administration doesn’t want to prosecute actual criminals, because the criminals are members of a key electoral constituency (to phrase it as tactfully as possible).
Biden’s “crackdown” won’t do anything to reduce violent crime. Instead, we can predict, it will produce a series of press releases — hyped by the liberal media — about ATF revoking licenses of small firearms dealers who didn’t keep their paperwork in order, so Biden can claim he’s doing something to fight the scourge of “gun violence.” No fewer dead bodies, you understand, but more mom-and-pop businesses being bankrupted for the sake of a political propaganda operation.
Impeach Judge Carol Kuhnke
Posted on | June 23, 2021 | Comments Off on Impeach Judge Carol Kuhnke

A Michigan judge last year turned loose an accused murderer who is now suspected of killing two people in Detroit, and is back in jail.
Detroit police on Tuesday named Orlando Whitfield, 32, as a person of interest in the gruesome slaying of a “31-year-old man and his 27-year-old girlfriend inside a home on the city’s northwest side. . . . The couple’s 9-month-old infant was luckily found unharmed inside.”
The Detroit Free Press reports:
Last year, when a judge decided to release the man accused in her sister’s slaying ahead of trial, Amanda Edmunds was beside herself. “Who’s to say he’s not going to get out, cut his freaking tether off and then just disappear?” she said.
On Tuesday, her voice was sharp as she spoke of the Washtenaw County judge with the knowledge the man not only cut his GPS tether last week, then turned himself in, but was now named as a person of interest in a Detroit double-fatal shooting discovered in-between on Monday.
Amanda Edmunds, 33, of Ypsilanti said Washtenaw Circuit Judge Carol Kuhnke needs to be held accountable for the actions of the 32-year-old Ypsilanti area man, Orlando Whitfield, as “no person in their right mind” would let a murder suspect out. And, meanwhile, his attorney, Erika Julien, said both her client and Kuhnke are innocent.
“Judge Kuhnke did the right thing,” Julien said. “She did what due process in our Constitution calls for and it was a tough call and I understand that, but she did the right thing. It’s a case-by-case basis.”
Kuhnke said in an email Tuesday, “I wish I could” but that she could not comment on a pending case.
Whitfield is accused in the January 2018 shooting death of 25-year-old Marissa Edmunds in Ypsilanti, which officials believe took place during a robbery that also left her boyfriend wounded.
Whitfield was denied bond when he was arraigned that same month on one count of open murder, four counts of armed robbery and one count possessing a firearm in the commission of a felony.
More than two years later, in May 2020, Kuhnke ordered Whitfield be released from custody. She cited delays in his case that had left him behind bars for 28 months while presumed innocent and concerns that COVID-19 was expected to worsen that problem.
While Amanda Edmunds last year said Whitfield was behind the case delays, citing, among other issues, his change of attorneys, Julien said the discovery in the case was incredibly lacking by the time she was appointed by the court to represent Whitfield, more than a year after the case had been opened. . . .
Julien said she received notice mid-week last week that Whitfield had cut his tether.
He was in touch with her shortly after however — she believes it was within 24 hours — about turning himself in, she said. She said he panicked for his family and cut his tether due to an increase in threats against him related to the murder case.
Worried about him being taken back into custody safely given his status as a homicide suspect who cut his tether, they worked on a plan to safely return him to the jail, she said.
She was preparing to walk him into the Washtenaw County Jail on Tuesday when she got a call from a reporter about the Detroit shooting, she said.
Here’s the thing: Orlando Whitfield is a career criminal. So far as is known, he has never done anything in his life except commit crimes. When he was arrested for the murder of Marissa Edmunds, Whitfield had only been out of prison for two months “after serving time for a 2007 assault with intent to commit sexual penetration. He previously served probationary sentences for fleeing police and operating with an invalid license or allowing a person with a suspended license to drive in Wayne County, corrections records show.” Oh, and while he is jail awaiting his murder trial, Whitfield was also charged with making a “shank.”
I’m sure you’re wondering, what kind of judge would turn this guy loose? Well, (a) last year, Joe Biden got 72% of the vote in Washtenaw County, and (b) Judge Kuhnke is a Democrat who, when she was elected in 2012, was “the first openly LGBT judge elected by the people in Michigan.”
Sam Seder Is Garbage, and Nobody Blames His Ex-Wife for Leaving Him
Posted on | June 22, 2021 | Comments Off on Sam Seder Is Garbage, and Nobody Blames His Ex-Wife for Leaving Him

We should avoid wishing ill on others, or celebrating their misery, but on the other hand, bad things happen to bad people, and there probably aren’t many people who are worse than Sam Seder.
Seder is the kind of person I have in mind when I point out that, for liberals, liberalism is an acceptable substitute for virtue. This is why, whenever any B-list celebrity wants to get attention, they begin making noisy political gestures about racism or global warming or some other issue that’s currently big among liberals, because they know this will win them praise for their courage, as if this actually involves risk.
You’ve probably never heard of Sam Seder, a comedian so obscure that he’s not even as high as Kathy Griffin’s D-list. Insofar as Seder has a claim to fame, it’s that he used to be a vacation guest host for Keith Olbermann back in the day. Seder was a stand-up comic back in the 1990s. He once dated Sarah Silverman, and was a writer/actor on a few TV shows, but lacked the talent necessary to be successful in Hollywood, so he migrated into political commentary, where the best thing you could say about his career is that he hasn’t completely failed. Yet.
A few years ago, Seder played helpless victim after Mike Cernovich dug up an old tweet of Seder’s in which he made a truly tasteless joke about Roman Polanski — sufficiently tasteless that even MSNBC was shocked. Seder was fired from MSNBC, but then reinstated after the executives decided they didn’t want to give Cernovich a “win,” even if it meant keeping on their payroll somebody who made rape jokes. Seder’s fellow media liberals rescued him by misrepresenting the issue (e.g., HuffPo headlined it, “MSNBC Gives In To Disingenuous Right-Wing Smear, Fires Sam Seder”), so as to obscure the genuinely offensive nature of what Seder said on Twitter. Let it not be said either (a) that I’m against “edgy” humor, or (b) that I am in favor of “cancelling” people over a single out-of-context remark. However, other people have lost jobs for saying things less offensive than Seder’s joke and, while I get the point that he was using dark sarcasm against those who were petitioning on behalf of Polanski, still we’re talking about MSNBC here. What’s the standard? “Rape jokes are OK, as long as they’re actually anti-rape jokes”?
The way Seder played the martyred hero-victim in that incident should raise questions about his character, even more than the joke itself, but Seder is sufficiently obscure that I never paid any attention to him until today, when Tim Pool discussed Seder’s latest stunt:
What happened was that Steven Crowder (who has 5.5 million YouTube subscribers) was invited to debate Ethan Klein (3 million YouTube subscribers), and then Klein used this to play a dishonest trick by bringing in Seder (1.1 million YouTube subscribers). Crowder was having none of this crap, and “walked off” (insofar as one walks off a virtual online connection). Liberal media, naturally, hailed this as a victory, but Tim Pool makes an important point: Sam Seder is not popular.
Despite having more than a million subscribers (mainly because he’s been YouTubing for more than a decade), most of Seder’s videos get fewer than 50,000 views and some get less than 10,000 views. So this dirty trick by Ethan Klein was an effort to boost Seder’s profile — to rescue him from his increasing irrelevance — by tag-teaming him into the debate with Crowder, one of the most popular YouTubers.
Steven Crowder routinely — routinely — gets 900,000 views on his videos, which is a bigger audience than most CNN programs. Maybe you don’t like Crowder, or disagree with his opinions, but he is unquestionably at least five times more popular than Sam Seder, and probably closer to 20 times more popular than Seder.
So why should Crowder let Sam Seder parasitically exploit him for clicks?
If you didn’t watch that Tim Pool video about what a dishonest scumbag Sam Seder really is, you should take time to watch it now.
There is a reason why Sam Seder is unpopular, see? He is a bad person, a detestable piece of garbage, a compulsive liar who cannot be trusted. And nobody — absolutely nobody — blames his ex-wife for divorcing him.
