The Left’s Dystopian Future
Posted on | February 12, 2017 | Comments Off on The Left’s Dystopian Future
Daniella Bova is a Catholic mom and author whose most recent e-novel, Cadáin’s Watch, is about a family “determined to live free” who are “hunted by the totalitarian bureaucracy,” but who “vow to resist oppression no matter the cost.” Her concerns for the future have been alleviated by Hillary Clinton’s defeat in last year’s election, but at her blog, Mrs. Bova notices how, once the shoe was on the other foot, suddenly the Left began yelling about their pain:
While perusing the twitter mobs on or about November 10 I happened to see a tweet from a leftist opining that he was finding it hard to get used to living in a dystopia.
This led me to type the words dystopia and dystopian into a twitter search. There I found many such tweets, all from Leftists (some of them authors) saying they were living in a dystopia.
This is still going on today. Try the search yourself and you’ll see the evidence.
Now please. It took only the election of Trump to make Liberals “feel” like they are living in a dystopia. On what basis?
Their candidate of choice lost the election.
Meanwhile, conservatives have just lived through 8 years of tyranny and abuse by Obama and his Leftist minions.
Our groups (Tea Party) were targeted by the IRS and declared to be “risky” by the Obama administration.
We were and are being forced to purchase a product by law (health insurance) which violates our rights under the Constitution.
Businesses were mobbed and attacked and sued by Leftists for refusing to bake a freaking cake. People’s lives were ruined, They were fired from their jobs for holding the “wrong” opinion on matters of conscience.
The list could on for two pages or more, and these pretentious Liberals actually believe they were inserted into a dystopia one day after their candidate lost an election?
What does that say about them?
You can read the whole thing. What does it say about Democrats? Clearly, they had big dreams for what they could accomplish with Hillary as president, and the intense rage of the Left’s disappointment shows how important “fundamentally changing the United States of America” really is to them. Losing their power to impose their “progressive” designs on our nation was, for them, like being a toddler deprived of a favorite toy.
My 2012 Election Night column for the American Spectator, “Doomed Beyond All Hope of Redemption,” was widely cited by leftist bloggers gloating over Barack Obama’s re-election. Yet the point of the column was about accepting the reality of defeat. When a football team loses a game, it is counterproductive to sit around complaining about the referees or doing some kind of “would have/could have/should have” second-guessing about the game. You lost. You failed. You were not good enough. If you had been good enough, all the bad breaks would not have been enough to defeat you. Good teams win and bad teams lose. The loser must accept the reality that he deserved to lose, and vow to train harder and improve himself so that next time, he can deserve victory.
Judging from the Left’s reaction to Hillary Clinton’s defeat, the Democrats are prepared to keep losing for a long, long time.

Canada: Psycho Who Beheaded Man Does Not Pose ‘Significant Threat’ to Public
Posted on | February 11, 2017 | Comments Off on Canada: Psycho Who Beheaded Man Does Not Pose ‘Significant Threat’ to Public
In July 2008, 22-year-old Tim McLean Jr. boarded Greyhound Bus 1170 in Edmonton, Alberta, on his way back home to Winnipeg, Manitoba. He never made it, because six hours into the trip, another passenger boarded the bus: Weiguang “Vince” Li, a 40-year-old Chinese immigrant.
Li had immigrated from Beijing to Canada in 2001. Although he had studied computer science in China, Li’s inability to speak English meant he worked only in menial service jobs in Canada. He had been fired from his job at Wal-Mart four weeks before he boarded Greyhound Bus 1170, shortly before 7 p.m. July 30, 2008. About 8:30, Li murdered McLean:
According to witnesses, McLean was sleeping with his headphones on when the man sitting next to him suddenly produced a large knife and began stabbing McLean in the neck and chest. The bus driver pulled to the side of the road so that he and all the other passengers could exit the vehicle. The attacker then decapitated McLean and displayed his severed head to other passengers standing outside. The driver and two other men had attempted to rescue McLean but were chased away by Li, who slashed at them from behind the locked bus doors. Li then went back to McLean’s body and began severing other parts and consuming some of his victim’s flesh.
Psychiatrists said Li was suffering from schizophrenic delusions and, in a March 2009 verdict that shocked Canadians, Judge John Scurfield ruled that Li was “not criminally responsible” for McLean’s death. McLean’s father told reporters outside the courtroom:
“I have a fear knowing that he may get out one day. . . . My fear is that Vincent Li may get out and be released into the public one day, and I fear for the public. . . . This should not have happened.”
While being “treated” at a mental hospital, Li changed his name to Will Lee Baker. And now the psycho killer has been turned loose:
Vince Li, the man who was found not criminally responsible for beheading a man on a Greyhound bus in 2008, has been granted an absolute discharge.
The Manitoba Criminal Code Review Board ordered the discharge on Friday, saying Li, now known as Will Lee Baker, does not pose a significant safety threat.
Baker was found to have been suffering from untreated schizophrenia when he stabbed, beheaded and partially cannibalized Tim McLean, 22.
McLean’s mother, Carol de Delley, a vocal critic of Canada’s not criminally responsible laws and who believes Baker should remain in custody for life, posted to Facebook on Friday that she has nothing to say about his discharge.
“I have no comment today. I have no words,” de Delley wrote.
Baker was found not criminally responsible in 2009 and spent seven years in treatment at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre before being allowed to move to Winnipeg, where he was treated at Health Sciences Centre.
Last year, he was permitted to move into independent living, but he had to abide by certain rules, which included taking medications and attending counselling appointments.
According to a 1999 ruling by the Supreme Court of Canada, a review board must order an absolute discharge if a person doesn’t pose a significant threat to public safety.
The review board said it heard testimony from mental health professionals before concluding that the “weight of evidence” showed Baker is not a risk to the public. . . .
The Review Board “is of the opinion that the weight of evidence does not substantiate that Mr. Baker poses a significant threat to the safety of the public,” and I am of the opinion that every member of the Review Board is crazy and needs to be put into a mental institution.
VIDEO: @BenShapiro Destroys University Student’s Bogus Transgender Ideology
Posted on | February 11, 2017 | 2 Comments
Somebody needs to send this video to radical feminists who have been at war with the transgender movement for the past three years. Ben Shapiro dismantled this deviant make-believe nonsense in a matter of minutes:
Shapiro — after arguing with a young woman about how “gender is not disconnected from sex” — decided to pick a comparable category to prove his point.
“Let me ask you this. I won’t ask you how old – I will ask you how old you are, because you’re young enough that it’s probably not insulting to ask you,” he posed to the young woman, who responded, “I’m 22, so I’m probably a little bit naive, right?”
“No,” he continued. “Why aren’t you 60? Why aren’t you 60? Why can’t you identify as 60? What is the problem with you identifying as 60?”
“It’s not the same as gender,” the young woman countered. “You can’t just…”
“You’re right!” Shapiro shot back. “You can’t magically change your gender. You can’t magically change your sex. You can’t magically change your age.”
Since 2014, I’ve been hammering away at this exact same point — feminism is a war against human nature. The claim that we can (and should) alter reality to conform to radical theory leads to the politics of wishful thinking. Education must prepare young people to succeed in the real world. However, our education system has been taken over by left-wing ideologues who indoctrinate children with jargon about “inclusion,” “diversity,” “equality” and “social justice,” which has the effect of rendering young people permanently discontented in life. In many cases, students are learning nothing useful in school, and are rendered incapable of doing any sort of work except progressive “activism.”
Beyond this, university professors now deliberately teach falsehoods that make young people confused about their identity:
Words mean things. Facts matter. When young Democrats dishonestly label their opponents “Nazis” and incite violence as a tactic to prevent the president’s supporters from speaking, we are witnessing an attempt to redefine reality by the abuse of language. And this is not coincidentally related to the feminist gender theory — the social construction of the gender binary within the heterosexual matrix — popularized by University of California Professor Judith Butler in her book Gender Trouble: Feminism and the Subversion of Identity. As I have demonstrated (see “These Discourses of Heterosexuality Which Particularly Oppress All of Us,” Jan. 12), Professor Butler’s theory relies heavily on the work of French radical lesbian Monique Wittig, and on a handful of other writers (e.g., Michel Foucault and Gayle Rubin) who shared Wittig’s hostility toward heterosexuality, per se.
Feminists insist that the mere experience of being female makes women victims of oppression — because patriarchy! — and condemn heterosexuality as an “institution” of male supremacy, so that feminism’s “subversion of identity” requires redefining reality. She becomes “he” and he is “she” and if you don’t agree, your disagreement is transphobia.
Women’s Studies programs at hundreds of universities in America are promoting the toxic ideology of Third Wave “queer” feminism. (See “The Queering of Feminism: Why Does ‘Equality’ Require Promoting Perversion?” and also, “The Queering of Feminism and the Silencing of Heterosexual Masculinity.”) No one on campus is allowed to disagree, because universities consider it “hate speech” to criticize feminism.
Every year, thousands of students enroll in Women’s Studies classes where professors teach them that (a) males are oppressors, (b) abortion is good, (c) heterosexuality is evil, and (d) gender is a “social construct.”
These are the quasi-religious cult beliefs of academic feminism, and no one on the faculty is allowed to criticize this cult. Universities do not employ any pro-life professors, nor is any professor allowed to teach Christian beliefs on the 21st-century campus. Academia is now anti-male, anti-morality, anti-capitalism, anti-Christian, and anti-American.
Everything the 21st-century student learns during his four years of college can be summarized in two words: “Vote Democrat.”
Lena Dunham Declares White Women Need ‘Enlightening’ by Feminists
Posted on | February 11, 2017 | 3 Comments
Pudgy tattoo-covered multimillionaire liar Lena Dunham did an interview on ABC’s The View, explaining what’s wrong with women:
“I think it’s really important to remember that it is an incredible problem that . . . 53% of white women in this country voted for Donald Trump which means that they’re not only voting against the interests of their sisters, of women who may not look like them, who they may not understand but whose rights are just as important, but also remember that they are in that case voting against their own best interest. To me a part of feminism — it’s almost like being a parent to a teenager where they’re so mad at you, they think you’re such a piece of crap and you’re like, I know you hate me right now but the reason I’m doing this is because I love you and I want us all to be safe. . . .
I think what’s really hard, obviously it pains me as a Caucasian women to think about how many women didn’t think about women who looked different or had different life experiences than them. They didn’t look outside their own back yard when they made the choice to vote for Donald Trump. . . .
I also think it’s really important to understand so many women aren’t raised with the rhetoric of self-empowerment. The messages they’re hearing from Donald Trump may be very similar to the messages they’ve always heard from their fathers, from their brothers, from their husbands. They haven’t been given the message that they do matter. And so, while I think we have an incredible amount of work to do with enlightening those women, I also have sympathy for the societal structures that keep them from understanding what they need to keep themselves safe.
(Via Breitbart; hat-tip @Charmander on Gab.ai.)
Other than the fact that Lena Dunham is the daughter of rich parents who leveraged her connections to land a contract for a low-rated feminist “comedy” on HBO, why would anyone care about her opinions? What has Lena Dunham ever done that would make anyone think that American women are in need of her “enlightening” through feminism? Does her “rhetoric of self-empowerment” include fingering her baby sister and lying about being raped by a Republican?
If you are a Christian, Lena Dunham hates you. If you are a Republican voter, Lena Dunham hates you. Lena Dunham hates babies. Lena Dunham wants the government to use your tax money to kill babies. Lena Dunham says she is “interested in engaging in a conversation,” but what she really wants is to silence anyone who tells the truth in America.

Woman Pretends to Be Man? OK. Woman Pretends to Be War Hero? Not OK.
Posted on | February 11, 2017 | Comments Off on Woman Pretends to Be Man? OK. Woman Pretends to Be War Hero? Not OK.
Not a hero. Not a man. Just another crazy weirdo:
A transgender woman accused in a case of stolen valor has been sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.
The defendant, Kelsie Hoover, was accused of posing as a member of the military and using several aliases. Judge Patrick Flanagan sentenced her [Jan. 26] to 9-20 years in prison on five different counts, which include fraud, burglary and stolen valor, with the sentences to be served consecutively.
After beginning to undergo gender reassignment treatments several years ago, Hoover moved to Northern Nevada and got a job working at Sparks High School using the name Michael Cipriani.
An organization called Guardian of Valor posted a video to their website in 2015, showing Cipriani dressed in military uniform. After the video was published, Cipriani was asked to leave his job at Sparks High School. . . .
Washoe County School District Police officer Karla Solferino testified in court on Thursday. She said Cipriani claimed to have a Purple Heart.
Hoover was also able to obtain Purple Heart license plates through the Nevada DMV using the Michael Cipriani alias. . . .
Kelsie Hoover moved to Texas at the age of 18 where she began undergoing testosterone therapy. She said she later had a double mastectomy, but decided to stop the transition process.
Hoover was arrested in Oregon last year and extradited to Nevada for trial.
Transgender insanity is everywhere now.

Why did the anarchist “black bloc” riot at Berkeley? Because students are learning what their teachers are teaching them:
The major student-run paper of UC Berkeley ran five op-eds Tuesday defending the riots on campus, and arguing that violence was an acceptable response to a speech from Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos.
The Daily Californian editorial board published five op-eds from five students and former students, who uniformly believed the riot was justified. . . .
“The violence that forms the foundation of Yiannopoulos’ ideology is far worse than any tactic the black bloc uses,” argued Desmond Meagley.
“Desmond” Meagley is actually a girl — “non-binary” or transgender — and her/“his” argument boils down to “Yiannopoulos’ sexual harassment, white supremacist ideals and Nazi sympathies are inexcusable.” Who has Milo “harassed”? In what sense is Milo a “white supremacist” or a Nazi? Meagley cannot answer these questions, because pejorative smears like this are about as well-defined in Meagley’s mind as her/“his” gender.
In the Trump Age, the Left keeps inadvertently reminding us of George Orwell’s quote from Politics and the English Language, “The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies ‘something not desirable’.” We find it impossible to debate public policy, not only because the Trump-haters insist on playing Orwellian word games like this, but also because they insist that disagreeing with them is “hate.” However, what the desperately confused Meagley actually demands is that the rest of us participate in her/“his” gender delusions, and she/“he” is justifying violence as a reaction to our refusal to do so.
If we state the obvious — i.e., Meagley is emotionally disturbed — we will be accused of “harassment,” and even diagnosed as afflicted with an irrational fear (“transphobia”) and so what Meagley actually demands is the authority to silence those who speak the truth.
“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.”
— John Adams, 1770
“Truth is great and will prevail if left to herself . . . She is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate, errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them.”
— Thomas Jefferson, 1786
Let anyone examine the sociopathic syndrome called DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender) and tell me that this is not what Meagley is engaged in, with her/“his” claim that “violence . . . forms the foundation of Yiannopoulos’ ideology.” Who is the ideologue here? And who is justifying political violence? (Hint: Not Milo.)
Dissenting from Professor Butler’s theory is hate speech, and your words are “violence” and “harassment,” you Nazi!
Some conservatives have criticized Milo Yiannopoulos for his deliberate use of insulting language as if this were the reason the Left is rioting in its attempts to silence him. Yet does anyone suppose that if I were to submit this little article to the Daily Californian, they would publish it? Don’t be absurd. You see I use no slurs here, but that’s not what really offends them. They are offended by the truth — facts are “hate” and dissent is “harassment,” according to 21st-century Third Wave feminists.
Vox Day is contemptuous of these “social justice warriors” (SJWs):
It’s rather amusing that the SJWs are now reduced to openly arguing that violence is a justifiable response to speech. But it’s not hard to understand why they are so frightened and irrational; there is no place for them in Western civilization, or indeed, any advanced and civilized society. . . .
They cannot stop us, they cannot beat us, all they could ever do was whisper “shame” and “surrender” and “submit” in our ears. But we are not listening to them any longer. They shriek and babble in vain.
Well, a good general never underestimates his enemy, and I do not expect the defense of Western civilization will be easy, nor do I take for granted that it will be successful. We seem to be somewhere in Revelation 20, and “the camp of the saints” is surrounded by Satan’s armies. While we are assured that good will defeat evil in such a battle, every soldier must be vigilant and well-trained, so that he is always ready to fight for truth.
Speaking of truth, “Desmond” Meagley has actually discussed the childhood origins of her/“his” gender confusion:
I was about eight or nine when I moved from a rural town in Oregon to the San Francisco Bay Area. It was one of seven moves my family made during my elementary years. The culture shock of moving from country to city hit me hard. I stuck out at my new school. It was hard to make friends with my new classmates. My parents argued often. So I spent a lot of time doing my own thing, trying not to think too hard about the rapid changes happening to my life.
This is when I started drawing.
My interest in drawing started as a way to deal with my feelings. I was a young kid with a changing family moving from city to city, and drawing gave me a distraction. When I felt lonely, homesick, or just bored, I drew my imaginary friends and characters from my favorite games. It was hard to make friends when my family moved so much. So I took characters out of computer games, books and movies and imagined them like they were there hanging out with me.
This is a familiar story — the lonely misfit child who resorts to “imaginary friends” to cope with her misery. What happens next?
In middle school, it became increasingly difficult to relate to girls from my class. So I mostly hung out with a group of guys who shared my interests in drawing, internet culture, and video games. I thought I fit in with them, but then one day, I was talking to one of them over lunch and he said, “You know it’s weird that you’re a girl and you hang out with us.” I was surprised. Then confused. Then hurt.
I felt bad in a way I couldn’t describe yet. It wasn’t fair. It didn’t make sense. And it was one the first moments I realized that my gender mattered to other people — that the way I experienced gender was not the way that other people thought about it. . . .
You can read the rest of that. Anyone who has studied child psychology — a subject I aced in college more than three decades ago — recognizes that the root of this problem is not “gender,” but rather Meagley’s troubled family life and an adolescent identity crisis exacerbated by a sense of rootlessness caused by the family’s frequent relocations. Nobody’s asked me to give a lecture on psychosexual development, but as a father of six children (three successful adults, and three popular teenagers who show good prospects of success), I know the challenges even the most conscientious parent faces in trying to steer kids away from trouble. Parents have to be alert to warning signs, and from Meagley’s tale, one gathers the impression that her/“his” parents were rather negligent, as they were dealing with serious problems of their own. But I digress . . .

Political activism is a poor substitute for psychiatric therapy. The professors at UC-Berkeley who indoctrinate students with radical theory are clearly complicit in the anarchist mob violence on campus, because the “progressive” politics of the UCB faculty justify the dishonest sociopathic rationalizations of DARVO tactics. Radical theory tells the maladjusted misfits that “society” is the cause of their problems. Believing yourself to be an oppressed victim of “imperialism, white supremacy, capitalism, ableism, and a cissexist heteropatriarchy” (see “The Cult of Social Justice,” The American Spectator, Dec. 21, 2015) is sort of like the lonely misfit child imagining herself “hanging out” with characters from “computer games, books and movies.” The self-pitying children need an oppressive villain to make their fantasy narrative work, and so Donald Trump is Hitler and Republican voters are Nazis and Milo Yiannopoulos is Heinrich Himmler. By the way, am I the only one who’s noticed the number of young feminists who are using themes from Harry Potter to describe their opposition to Trump/Voldemort? Doesn’t this suggest that, like Meagley, many of those afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome are trapped inside their own childhood fantasy world?
To fully understand this problem, you must read Eric Hoffer’s 1951 classic The True Believer: Thoughts on the Nature of Mass Movements, especially Part 2 (“Potential Converts”) and sections IV (“The Role of the Undesirables in Human Affairs”) and VI (“Misfits”). What Hoffer writes about the influence of “the inferior elements in a nation” (p. 24) and the “incurably frustrated” who have “an unfulfilled craving for creative work” (p 47) applies to many of the angry young men and unhappy young women who rush to join the mob of disgruntled “progressives.” The desire to belong to a mass movement, to “make a difference,” is exploited not only by those who wish to harness radicalism as a force to help elect Democrats, but also by those in the journalism/entertainment industry seeking to “brand” themselves by hopping aboard a trendy bandwagon.
Lady Gaga singing “Born That Way” at the Super Bowl halftime? Ha! Katy Perry will outdo her by advocating an anti-Trump “revolution”:
The lyrics to a new Katy Perry song timed to coincide with her re-branding as an anti-Trump “activist” includes a line that openly encourages her fans to riot.
Released earlier today, the pop star’s Chained to the Rhythm track features lyrics by reggae singer Skip Marley that include the lines, “We’re stumbling, we’re crumbling, and we’re about to riot / They woke up, they woke up the lions.”
Elsewhere, the lyrics make reference to “liars” and the “empire,” clearly placing it in a political context. . . .
Perry, who now considers herself an “activist” according to her Twitter bio (no doubt a genuine lifestyle choice and not just an avaricious form of virtue signaling to make more money), endorsed Hillary Clinton multiple times and headlined a concert in her honor back in November.
Yeah, I can still hear John Lennon’s cynical reaction:
You say you want a revolution.
Well, you know,
We all want to change the world. . . .
But when you talk about destruction,
Don’t you know that you can count me out.
Those of us old enough to remember the late 1960s know what to expect from radical misfits and their revolutionary dreams. Childish tantrums and “talk about destruction” — destroying the society you blame for your own misery — never lead to anything but violence and failure. It’s very easy for a professor to tell a young misfit that “the way she experienced gender” can be explained by the “social construction” of gender, but when the misfit tries to silence those who reject such theories, she is denying others access to those “stubborn things” called facts.
It is not at all surprising that the Left has rioted because the Democrats nominated a 1960s-era feminist who led them to defeat. Nor was I surprised by the destructive violence at Berkeley: Feminism Is a Totalitarian Movement to Destroy Civilization as We Know It.
