He brought a knife to a gunfight:

A terror probe has been launched in Paris after a machete-wielding man was shot after trying to attack four soldiers outside the Louvre.
The suspect was shot five times in the stomach and is in a critical condition.
He was shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ — Arabic for ‘God is the greatest’ — according to the Paris prefect, and reportedly had paint bombs in his backpack.
After being refused entry, he pulled out the weapon and was shot by a soldier, officials have confirmed. A soldier is believed to have suffered a head injury.
US President Donald Trump tweeted following the attack in the French capital: ‘A new radical Islamic terrorist has just attacked in Louvre Museum in Paris. Tourists were locked down. France on edge again. GET SMART U.S.’

How Feminism Caused the #Berkeley Riot: Understanding Leftist Psychology

This morning I had planned to follow-up on Wednesday’s riot in Berkeley, but today Grandpa McCain was babysitting both his grandsons, which made blogging impossible. Now I’m finally getting around to the follow-up, but I’m exhausted and so I’ll just briefly remind you what I’ve been saying for nearly two years now: Feminism Is a Totalitarian Movement to Destroy Civilization as We Know It — and that caused the riot.

Ask yourself:

  1. Who were the people smashing windows and throwing fireworks and assaulting innocent people on the UC-Berkeley campus?
  2. What was their motive for this rampage of political violence?

The answers are:

  1. Young guys who don’t have jobs or wives or bills to pay.
  2. Trying to impress girls with how “progressive” they are.

Look, this isn’t very hard to understand. During the late 1960s, a lot of guys joined radical protest movements because it was the cool thing to do on liberal college campuses, and by “the cool thing to do,” of course I mean how a guy could get laid. If you were a scrawny neurasthenic geek, you weren’t going to be scoring with the homecoming queen, but you might still have a chance to get laid if you could impress a liberal chick by being an outspoken advocate of “peace” and “civil rights,” etc.  A basic motive that attracted a lot of dudes into the orbit of SDS, was because being radical was a way to get laid. (“Smash monogamy!”)

Flash-forward about 50 years, and what’s the situation? During the 2016 Democrat primary campaign, the radicals supported Bernie Sanders, who lost to Hillary Clinton, who made feminism the raison d’etre of her campaign and then lost to Donald/Adolf Trump/Hitler. So now, on liberal campuses, you’ve got a lot of feminists who supported Hillary moping around in a post-election depression, and these morose college feminists aren’t in much of a mood for romance, if you get my drift. This means their “progressive” boyfriends aren’t getting any action, and so what are these radical “Bernie Bros” gonna do? Throw an anti-Trump riot.

That’s what all this strutting macho #Resistance bullshit is really all about — dudes trying to get laid. Fortunately I came of age in the late 1970s, when the Left was demoralized and everyone was so cynical about politics that sex was about sex for its own sake. Also, there was no Internet back then, so nobody cared about a college kid’s opinion. All these 19-year-old “social justice” morons spewing mental sewage on Twitter and Facebook — who are they trying to impress, and why? Same answer, really. It’s about status-seeking and, amid the post-Hillary feminist butt-hurt epidemic, a guy who wants to get laid on a “progressive” campus like UC-Berkeley has to engage in invidious displays of anti-Trump rage.

You don’t need a Ph.D. in psychology to figure this out. However, if a guy is smart enough to go to Berkeley, he ought to be able to figure out that feminism causes herpes. Maybe guys should just be Republican and stop trying to impress those vile feminist whores. Also, consider switching your major to something useful and stop hanging around those dopehead left-wing perverts like the accused murderer Pablo Gomez.

You meet the worst people on Craigslist:

An “aspiring serial killer” allegedly stabbed her date in a motel and planned to eat his heart after killing him. The victim told police Amy Brown, 24, repeatedly asked him if he was a serial killer while the couple was in a motel room bed. When he said no, she allegedly climbed on top of him and replied, “Well, I’m a serial killer.” Brown and the man met up at the Rodeo Inn motel in Lynwood, Washington on January 30 after arranging their date on Craigslist, The Seattle Times reported. According to a police report, Brown planned to murder the man and eat his heart.
While being questioned, she also told authorities she had written a note to leave on the 29-year-old victim’s body after finishing the job, “explaining that she planned to kill again,” according to police. After revealing she was a “serial killer,” Brown reportedly began stabbing the man with a pocket knife. He managed to escape and call 911, and met police at a nearby Walgreen’s, before being taken to the hospital with a punctured lung. The victim said the attack was unprovoked and there had been no altercation beforehand. He told officers they met when she responded to his Craigslist ad, which was for “friendship and possibly dating,” rather than sex.
Police found Brown in the parking lot of the Rodeo Inn, where she had a knife. During police questioning, Brown was asked what happened, to which she replied, “I’m a loon.”

The report did not mention whether she had a feminist Tumblr blog, or whether she voted for Hillary Clinton, but I’m just going to go ahead and guess she’s a Democrat, because most crazy women are. But do we really need to talk about Sarah Silverman right now? Never mind. My point is, if a woman is using the Internet to find men to date, it means that no man who actually knows her in real life is interested in dating her.

There must be a reason she’s trolling Craigslist for dates, OK? How can you be sure she’s not a deranged Democrat psychopath who wants to stab you to death and then eat your heart? We know that stabbing men to death is every feminist’s secret fantasy, and ever since Hillary lost the election, some of them probably figure they’ve got nothing left to lose. That’s what must have happened to Amy Brown. Trump won the election, and she decided now’s the time to live the feminist dream.

Or that’s my theory, anyway, but if anyone doubts me, they can check the election results: Hillary got 54% of the vote in Washington State, and exit polls show she got 62% of the female vote, so doesn’t it seem likely that a 24-year-old woman in Snohomish County is a Democrat?

Also, because no man who actually knows Amy Brown in real life was interested in dating her . . . Well, obviously, she’s a feminist.

The world is full of crazy people nowadays. Be careful out there.

VIOLENT BERKELEY MOB RIOT SHUTS DOWN YIANNOPOULOS SPEECH

BREAKING: A mob of violent Berkeley Democrats tonight attacked the campus venue where Breitbart.com editor Milo Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak, breaking windows, starting fires and hurling explosives, forcing University of California officials to cancel the speech.

UPDATE 10:15 p.m. ET: The Los Angeles Times reports:

A speech by conservative firebrand Milo Yiannopoulos was canceled at UC Berkeley on Wednesday amid violent protest on campus that sparked at least one fire.
Police clashed with protesters, and much of the university was placed on lockdown. Campus police were ordering protesters to leave the area, but many were refusing.
At 6:50 p.m. [Pacific time], police used a loudspeaker to tell the crowd that Yiannopoulous had left the campus and that they would be arrested if they didn’t disperse.
Witnesses said some windows were broken at the auditorium where Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak.
This marks the second time in two weeks that rowdy protests have forced the cancellation of a Yiannopoulos speech. The same thing happened last month at UC Davis, prompting a debate about free speech protections and how university should response to so-called “hate speech.”
Yiannopoulos writes for Breitbart News and is an avowed supporter of President Trump. A provocateur with a large online following, his speaking events at several college campuses were branded the “Dangerous Faggot Tour.”
On his Facebook page, Yiannopoulos said that “violent left-wing protesters” had broken into a building’s ground floor, ripped down barricades and threw rocks.
“My team and I are safe. But the event has been cancelled,” Yiannopoulous said.
In characteristic fashion, he pointed to the mayhem on campus to highlight his agenda: “One thing we do know for sure: the Left is absolutely terrified of free speech and will do literally anything to shut it down.”

UPDATE 10:25 p.m. ET: The violence at Berkeley is symptomatic of the climate of irrational hatred the Democrat Party and its media allies have incited against Republicans in the wake of Donald Trump’s election last November. Several “news” organizations have falsely smeared Yiannopoulos as a “white supremacist.” University professors have indoctrinated students with a dangerously intolerant belief in “social justice,” and administrators at schools like UC Berkeley have openly discriminated against conservative viewpoints, thus surrendering their campuses to mobs of criminal Marxist thugs.

UPDATE 10:45 p.m. ET: Breitbart’s Charlie Nash is following developments and reports that Berkeley riot police have fired rubber bullets in an effort to disperse the violent mob. Injuries are reported, and journalists on the scene describe being menaced by angry rioters.

UPDATE 10:55 p.m. ET: Breitbart’s Tom Ciccotta reports:

A man with a bloodied face appeared on livestream claiming to have been punched during anti-MILO riots at UC Berkeley. Masked protesters were also caught on video attacking attendees with thrown objects and protest signs. . . .
In the background, a rioter can be heard yelling “if you f**k with us, we’ll f**k with you.”
Later, on BuzzFeed’s live video stream, protesters could be seen attacking people with flagpoles and hurling objects at them.
BuzzFeed’s reporter noted that one man was spotted “bleeding profusely.” Splatters of blood were spotted on the plaza where the protest took place.
Violence at the event began after the arrival of a large number of masked “anti-fascist” protesters, who immediately stormed police barricades and lit fires.

UPDATE 11:20 p.m. ET: San Francisco CBS affiliate KPIX-TV reports:

Protesters armed with bricks and fireworks mounted an assault on the building hosting a speech by polarizing Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos Wednesday night, forcing the event’s cancellation.
Yiannopoulos was making the last stop of a tour aimed at defying what he calls an epidemic of political correctness on college campuses.
With masked activists joining the already large group of protesters gathered in the area between Sather Gate and the north end of Telegraph Avenue as night fell, campus police were holding their positions near the entrance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union building hosting the event.
As the gathered crowd got more agitated, masked “black bloc” activists began hurling projectiles including bricks, lit fireworks and rocks at the building and police.
Some used police barriers as battering rams to attack the doors of the venue, breaching at least one of the doors and entering the venue on the first floor.
In addition to fireworks being thrown up onto the second-floor balcony, fires were lit outside the venue, including one that engulfed a gas-powered portable floodlight.

Notice the description of Milo as “polarizing.” What is so “polarizing” about disagreeing with mobs of deranged totalitarians?

Grabbed: Mexican Pimp Extradited to Face U.S. Sex-Trafficking Charges

Foreign criminals forcing women into sexual slavery:

One of the most wanted alleged sex traffickers has been extradited from Mexico to the United States where he will face charges for human trafficking and smuggling.
Mexican national Raul Granados-Rendon, 30, was extradited to the U.S. with the help of Homeland Security Investigations and the Mexican Federal Police, after being on federal authorities’ top 10 most wanted human traffickers.
“This individual is just one of many who helped run a sex trafficking organization that was responsible for smuggling numerous women into the United States where they were forced to work as prostitutes against their will,” Special Agent Melendez with HSI New York said in a news release. . . .
Granados-Rendon now faces 21 counts of racketeering and racketeering conspiracy involving predicate acts of sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, sex trafficking of minors, interstate prostitution, and alien smuggling.
The Granados sex trafficking organization, with the alleged involvement of Granados-Rendon, has allegedly smuggled young women into the U.S. and then forced them to work as prostitutes in New York City and other regions.
Members of the Granados organization are accused of procuring young, usually uneducated, women and then coercing them into prostitution in Mexico.
The Granados organization would collect all of the profits earned by the victims’ activities. If work was refused, members of the organization would beat and sexually assault them and threaten their family members back in Mexico, according to prosecutors.
“HSI special agents have identified and rescued over 20 additional victims, all Mexican nationals, and arrested over a dozen additional traffickers or smugglers, all members or associates of the Granados family,” the news release noted.
Some 13 members of the Granados organization have been indicted in on sex trafficking charges in New York, with Granados-Rendon being the latest.

Meanwhile, in California, nearly 500 arrests have been made in a statewide “sting” operation against sex-trafficking.

How #TheResistance Killed Facebook

Since the end of the 2016 election, and especially since it resulted in the victory of Donald J. Trump as president, Facebook has become utterly intolerable. I took the application off my phone when I realized, a few days after the election, that I felt angry every time I scrolled through my newsfeed . . .
One of my many friends also feeling this way, Sarah Barak, wrote on Facebook recently: “I feel hectored. I’ll be happier if I unfollow the worst offenders. It’s just too much and the constant negative coverage is affecting my happiness.” . . .
The problem with Facebook political rants is this: It is not Twitter. I do not “follow” my high school best friends because of their insightful political commentary; I want to see updates on their lives and pictures of their adorable children. . . .
If all you’re using Facebook for is to yell into the digital void about politics, you will find your audience for such rants is getting smaller by the minute. Sorry, random friends from all walks of life: I just don’t care what you think about Donald Trump today.
I hoped the tone would improve post-election, but with the inauguration and every statement or story out of the Trump administration, the hysteria remains at a fevered pitch. And I’m sick of it.

The problem is #TheResistance, as anti-Trump radicals have dubbed themselves on social media. Having bought into the liberal media propaganda that Trump is Hitler and GOP voters are Nazis, the Left has incited Democrat voters to insult anyone who didn’t vote for Clinton. This deliberate dehumanization of Republican voters, as willing accomplices of a latter-day Holocaust, has the effect of making Democrat voters insanely hostile toward anyone who disagrees with them. Therefore, GOP voters are apt to be silent when confronted with a Facebook friend’s anti-Trump rant, because if you say anything in favor of Trump, you’ll be inundated with angry messages from your deranged Democrat friend, and then all their anti-Trump friends will join in the hate-swarm.

Fortunately for me, I’m good at ignoring Facebook and, because I’ve been hate-swarmed by professional haters for so long, I’m more or less invulnerable to such tactics. People need to chill.

In July 2013, after former Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner was caught “sexting” for the second time, I wrote a column for The American Spectator with a deliberately provocative title: “The Pervert Party”:

Perhaps now someone at the New York Times or the Washington Post will ask Patrick Frey what happens to bloggers who call attention to Anthony Weiner’s persistent fascination with young females. Or perhaps not. Either way, longtime readers of Frey’s Patterico blog know all about how, after he produced some of the most interesting research during the 2011 WeinerGate scandal, Frey was “SWATted” — the victim of a dangerous type of 911 hoax that dispatched armed police to Frey’s Los Angeles home, where the hoaxer had falsely reported a violent crime.
Whatever anyone might say about that incident, it certainly was not a coincidence, nor was it coincidental that liberal media organizations were perfectly willing to assist in Weiner’s political rehabilitation. There was a reason, after all, that Weiner’s young cybersex partner told her tale to a gossip blog, rather than to any major newspaper or TV network. If a conspicuously married Democrat politician is engaged in sleazy shenanigans with a 22-year-old, no respectable liberal journalist wants to break that story. In 2011, it was Andrew Breitbart who turned Anthony Weiner’s sordid secrets into a national drama that drove the New York congressmen to resign in disgrace. . . .

You can read the whole thing, if you wish to remind yourself of what was made apparent by Weiner’s disgrace, both in terms of the degradation of culture, and the role of the liberal media and the Democrat Party in enabling that degradation. In retrospect, it should have been obvious that a middle-aged married politician seeking out a 22-year-old “sugar baby” for online sex chats, after he has already been caught once in such affairs, was in the throes of a helpless and perverse obsession. A man so reckless as to be willing to destroy not only his reputation, but also his political career and his marriage, for the sake of kinky conversations with Sydney Leathers, probably was too far gone to recover. When Weiner was caught yet a third time in August 2016, however, it became evident that he was also willing to risk serious legal consequences:

Disgraced pervert and former congressman Anthony Weiner could soon face child-pornography charges as a result of a federal investigation into his electronic exchanges with a 15-year-old girl.
The FBI began investigating Weiner after the Daily Mail reported that the notorious “dick pic” enthusiast had exchanged in sexually explicit messaging with the underage girl. Writing under the pseudonym “T Dog,” Weiner reportedly asked the 15-year-old to dress up like a “school girl” and engage in “rape fantasies.” He allegedly told the girl he “would bust that tight p—y hard and so often that you would leak and limp for a week.”
It was federal investigators probing Weiner who uncovered emails potentially related to the Hillary Clinton investigation on several of Weiner’s electronic devices, prompting FBI director James Comey to inform members of Congress. Many Democrats have suggested Comey’s actions in response to the Weiner probe findings may have cost Hillary Clinton the election.
Weiner’s estranged wife, Huma Abedin, was a senior adviser to Clinton at the State Department, and maintained a prominent role in her presidential campaign.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Weiner’s attorneys have been in discussion with federal prosecutors in recent weeks, and have urged them not to bring serious charges in the case. The most serious charge Weiner could face is production of child pornography, because he allegedly solicited sexually explicit images from the underage girl. If convicted, Weiner could face a 15-year mandatory minimum jail sentence.
Lesser charges Weiner might face include receipt of child pornography or possession of child pornography. The former carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, while the latter charge has no mandatory minimum.

(Via Memeorandum.) Even if we could leave aside our moral judgment of Weiner’s behavior, we would still be left to contemplate the strictly pragmatic issues involved in his case. It can be fairly argued that Weiner caused Hillary Clinton’s defeat last November, not only because of Comey’s FBI investigation, but also because Weiner’s third sexting scandal called attention to his wife, Clinton’s personal aide Huma Abedin. This in turn reminded many people of the widely held opinion, dating back to the 1990s, that Bill and Hillary have an “arrangement” in their marriage. And, of course, this rekindled speculation about Hillary’s own sexual preferences. Were such opinions and speculation fair to the Clintons? Fairness doesn’t count for much in politics.

Why is it, after all, that the Republican Party has long enjoyed strong support from so-called “values voters”? Isn’t it true that Democrats are the party that celebrates abortion and homosexuality? And what kind of people do we expect to find holding leadership positions in such a party? Republicans have certainly suffered their share of ugly sex scandals in recent years (e.g., Denny Hastert), and such hypocrisy is deeply offensive to those conservatives who expect their leaders to “walk the walk.” However, when a Democrat like Weiner is caught in such a scandal, it could be argued, his behavior is entirely consistent with the policies his party advocates. Democrats are the Pervert Party, and Anthony Weiner is therefore the perfect symbol of his party’s values.
