Family Terrorized as Michigan Teachers Support Colleague Who Molested Boy

Former middle-school teacher Neal Erickson, 38, pleaded guilty in May to having sex with a boy beginning in 2006 — when the boy was a 14-year-old eighth-grader — until 2009. His fellow teachers in Ogemaw County, Michigan, supported Erickson, writing letters to the judge asking for a lenient sentence. Any parent would be horrified by the sentiments expressed, for example, by Rose City teacher Sally Campbell:

“Neal made a mistake. He allowed a mutual friendship to develop into much more. He realized his mistake and ended it years before someone anonymously sent something to the authorities which began this legal process. . . . Please also consider that this was a one-time relationship with only one student and ended long before being found out. Both parties have gone on with their lives.”

He molested a 14-year-old boy, ma’am. To call this “a one-time relationship” — words fail. A relationship? A middle-school teacher and a 14-year-old boy in a “relationship”? Are you insane?

The parents of the victim in this case were outraged to see Erickson’s fellow teachers supporting this confessed criminal pervert, whose molestation of their son caused horrible problems:

The victim’s mother also spoke prior to sentencing, telling Erickson he violated her son and caused a rift in the family. She said the family appeared happy on the outside, but on the inside, the home was a “battle zone.”
“We couldn’t figure out why (the victim) hated us,” she said. “He went after his father. There were physical fights.” . . .
“You were his teacher,” she said. “You were his mentor. You were his friend. And you violated him.”
She added the victim kept the sexual encounters a secret and suffered because of it.
“He kept all of this a secret, and he went through emotional pains,” she said.

Permit me to digress: Do you think there might be . . . oh, I don’t know, an agenda involved here? Do you think Neal Erickson’s fellow teachers would have supported him like this if he had carried on a secret three-year sexual affair with an underaged girl? I think not.

Because it was a gay thing, see, Neal Erickson has “rights,” just like Kaitlyn Hunt has a “right” to have lesbian sex with a 14-year-old.

Nobody in the gay-rights movement or the educational establishment wants to admit that this is what is going on, that they are making excuses for gay people to have sex with minors, but that’s what it’s really about. It’s a good thing Neal Erickson isn’t a Catholic priest, or else this might be an actual scandal. But I digress . . .

Thank God, Circuit Court Judge Michael Baumgartner disregarded the pleas for leniency and imposed a 15-30-year sentence:

After making a decision on the sentencing, Baumgartner said he could not believe people were supporting Erickson after the issue came to light.
“I’m appalled and ashamed that the community could rally around, in this case, you,” he said.
“What you did was a jab in the eye with a sharp stick to every parent who trusts a teacher,” Baumgartner added.

The family of the victim has demanded that the teachers who supported criminal pervert Neal Erickson be fired, and have begun a petition drive to recall school board members who supported the criminal pervert. And guess what happened next?

A garage fire at John and Lori Janczewski’s house on Grandjean Road near Rose City destroyed the couple’s garage and melted the siding on their home early Saturday morning.
Lt. Melvin Matthews, post commander for the Michigan State Police Post in West Branch, said the fire is being ruled as arson. He said evidence gathered at the scene is being analyzed by the MSP crime lab, and new leads gathered since the incident occurred are being investigated.
The Janczewskis believe it was someone responding to their outspokenness against several West Branch-Rose City teachers and a board member, who they said publicly supported Neal Erickson, a former WB-RC teacher who recently pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct against the Janczewski’s son. . . .
John Janczewski said he doesn’t understand why someone would do something like this to his family.
“We don’t deserve this,” he said in tears. “We’re not a bad family. We’ve done nothing but stand up for our son, the victim. They could have killed my whole family. Whoever’s done this has no remorse. They have no soul.”
John Janczewski said he and his wife do not plan to stop. They are currently circulating petitions for the recall of WB-RC board member Mike Eagan.
“Whoever’s done this, we’re not going to quit,” he said. “We’re not giving up. We’re going to continue to fight, until the end.”

School teachers who are insane enough to support a criminal pervert are insane enough to commit any crime themselves.

Erica Ritz told the Janszewski family’s story Monday at The Blaze.

It’s time to wake up, America: Our country is now so close to the gates of Hell you can feel the heat and smell the brimstone.

  1. There are those that would consider us paranoid, during a tenuous link between Ms Hunt and Herr Erickson; suggesting an underlying conspiracy. Those would be the same that suggested that free-for-all sex and acceptance of homosexual behavior would never undermine our social values, our families and potentially lead to a bizarre attempt to redefine marriage into something it will never be.

  2. In purgatory, one does not have to be concerned about one’s blood pressure, since you have none anyway. Up here, it’s a concern and particularly so for those of us already on BP medication.

  3. I loved the PDP 11-70. RSTS-e was a nice Op sys. Spent many an hour playing “Star Trek” on one at Volunteer State.

  4. And maybe the Queer Rights types will actually be something besides bullies. Unlikely, however, as they don’t want their actual rights, they want our blessing, something we can not give to any form of depravity.

  5. Having a PhD is not an imprimatur. I’ve met far to many credentialed idiots, and our society is cursed by them.

Incidentally, homosexuality is a serious mental illness that reaches to the depths of the soul. God ordered Israel to kill all adulterers, not just homosexual adulterers, because of the societal disorder it generates. We are seeing what happens when all forms of adultery are condoned. You are simply acting as an apologist for it.

Biblically, homosexuality is, by definition, adultery. IN anticipation of an objection, fornication does not require you be unmarried, biblically it is a state of sin that is a lifestyle of adultery.

  6. It has been homosexual activists that have claimed it is normal. If so, there would be scientific evidence for it. Instead there is?…nada. Not a thing. The gay gene came up back in the 90s, then those that advocated it slunk off quietly when it came out that nothing of the sort had been found.

  7. You begin with a fallacy making all that follows fallacious. Atheism meets the definition of religion – the one that does not serve your purposes. I can’t be an atheist because it requires a level of faith far beyond anything a Christian has to exercise.

There is plenty of evidence for God in modern science, but you have too small a knowledge base to know what it is. Modern Physics has taken us to the edges of reality. This particularly so with particle Physics. It has inspired one Physicist to state that “we live in a digital simulation within a much larger reality.” It only begins there grasshopper, and I seriously doubt you are in a major with a serious science requirement, so you will not be introduced into even the rudiments of what science is.

  8. I will call atheism a religion because that’s exactly what it is. Buddhism is a religion and it’s also atheistic.

  9. Yes but that would remove the joy acquired by personally rubbing in, a small bit at a time, the kosher salt into freshly flayed, bleeding tissue (with the resulting inchoate screams of agony).

  10. I wonder: How many expectant parents would give that “reproductive choice” option serious consideration if there were a “gay gene” and a prenatal test for it and they knew they were expecting a homosexual…

  11. Dick! Are you suggesting that these very same people would sooner relegate their special parasitic masses of cellular snowflakage to the dust bin? I’m shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

  12. Sorry, I meant that they same percentage would select to not abort thus going against their natural inclination to not be punished with a baby.
I apologize for my ineptness and foggy thinking. It’s the daylight you know …

  13. And yet, it has blind faith that “science” will eventually discover a “gay gene”. Yeah, that’s not blind faith, because our Special Snowflake believes in it.

It’s really rather tragic when the useful idiots believe “critical thinking” and “thinking for yourself” really just mean parroting long-debunked talking points.

  14. Oh that’s easy. Another member of the New Age self-worship cult that calls itself “atheism” when their “god” is actually the Self. It’s why o.O believes in it, rather than simply not believing in God as an actual atheist does: Abrahamistic faiths don’t build up its inflated ego and sense of superiority.

  15. The problem is that basic morality has been stripped away out of modern culture, so you have enabling parents who pat their little Special Snowflakes on the head and let them believe they can do no wrong (i.e., Kelley Hunt, o.O’s mom if it wasn’t lying) So they reject the “sinner” part outright, because it might be the first time in their life that they’ve heard they are not in fact the most virtuous, intelligent, and all around awesome person their mommies have led them to believe.

The question is when to be kind and when to start calling people “broods of vipers” because their heads are so thick that the only way they’ll learn is through another application of emotional pain. (being humiliated) Young children learn through physical pain (hence spanking) but teens and young adults learn from humiliating experiences. When Jesus told the adulteress to “go and sin no more”, she had already been broken and humiliated, so the message probably sank in. I’m not sure what could similarly break the self-worship cult’s belief that the universe revolves around them.

  16. Sadly, perversion and degeneracy are greater problems today than “theism”. You are a perfect example of that. You can not muster up any outrage for the criminal acts of this teacher, but you are all full of trollish contempt for all of the good people here who can. I say, you are a gay atheist troll who sympathizes with child rape and thereby supports evil all the while mocking good. Deny it and prove yourself also to be a dishonest gay atheist troll. Oh and welcome aboard.

  17. I think Aquinas proved there’s a God, and Descartes, that He’s not a deceiver. But Pascal gets to the important point that the stakes are infinitely high. We all, even materialists such as yourself, “assume based on partial evidence.” We see as through a glass, darkly. I couldnt see the truth of Christianity until I began to see its utility.

  18. “With a sustained tug, we have tried to pull the mitre off of pontifical man, and his head has come off with it.” GKC

  19. “I have yet to start over, just fine tune a bit.” The Great Leap Forward, the Five Year Plans, the Thousand Year Reich; Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, the Tower of Babel….”Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair.”

  20. Faith: believing on the authority of another something I cannot prove for myself. Something we all do every day….There is no such thing as a reasonable assumption. If it’s reasonable, it’s not an assumption. Postulates cannot be proven. No postulates, no geometry. My postulate: Jesus is the 2nd Person of the Trinity. With that one fixed point, I can lift the universe.

  21. I disagree (and so, apparently, did one of the two bumpkins who invented the calculus) that “their (sic) is this universe, but that is self-evident.” Descartes said, as a first principle, that all I can know for sure is that I exist, because I think. The existence of the universe is not self-evindent.

  22. I find it hard to work up a good mad at this young woman. She’s grown up surrounded by liberal propaganda, as I did. And she has no real-world experience that might expose the dry rot beneath the cheap, shiny veneer. I used to talk the way she does, when I was her age. She’s not stupid. I dont even think she’s dishonest. She’s been deceived all her life and doesnt know it yet.

  23. I salute you. When I was 24, I was as dysfunctional as a soup sandwich. Sorry about my mostly unsubstantiated (and kinda wise-ass) strawman accusation. Mea culpa (strikes breast). Friends?

  24. If this o.O person is not now someone ‘who sympathizes with child rape’, she will be at some point because that is part of the logical progression [or should it be ‘regression’?] of this kind of thinking.

As a wise guy, er, man once wrote [moi]: Logic will often take you away from Reason. It always follows it’s own course and that road is often different from Reason’s.

  25. Baudelaire: My dear brothers, never forget, when you hear the progress of enlightenment vaunted, that the devil’s best trick is to persuade you that he doesn’t exist!

  26. Oh I’m not mad, I just enjoy watching them squirm when, for the first time in their lives, they aren’t constantly fawned over, coddled, and buttpatted. She’d been lied to, it’s pretty obvious, but she’s also had smoke blown up her ass for all her life, told constantly just how smart and special she is, so of course she never actually learned critical thinking or how to think on her own. (Then again, look at her dreadful parentage) She’s automatically assumed she’s simply going to get her way all the time and that she’s the Smartest Person in the Room. It’s fun to watch them come here and tangle with people who have been in her shoes but have since wised up and learned a little bit about the real world.

And if she does manage to wise up, it’s all the more impressive.

  27. And I’m dead and know the pain that Hell is. The agony the person would feel in life, even under my proposed treatment, is a mere pinprick to what they will experience in Hell (for eternity). Just preparing them, as it were.
    🙂
