High School Freak Show: Colorado Girls Claim Harassment by Teen Transsexual

Coming soon to a public school near you.

“Who knows whither the ’emerging awareness’ shall henceforth emerge?”
— Robert Stacy McCain, The American Spectator, June 26

America’s descent into decadent perversity advances, as high school girls in Florence, Colorado, say they were forced to share the school’s restroom and locker room with a teenage shemale:

Attorneys with Pacific Justice Institute sent a strongly-worded letter this afternoon to school officials at Florence High School, warning them against squelching student privacy and speech rights in order to cater to the wishes of a teenage boy who has been entering girls’ bathrooms on campus.
“This is a nightmare scenario for the teenage girls—some of them freshmen—and their parents at this school,” noted PJI staff attorney Matthew McReynolds, who sent the letter to Principal Brian Schipper and Superintendent Rhonda Vendetti. “This is exactly the kind of horror story we have been warning would accompany the push for radical transgender rights in schools, and it is the type of situation that LGBT activits have been insisting would not happen.”
Parents at the school, located near Colorado Springs, became irate when they learned that a teenage boy was entering girls’ bathrooms and, according to some students, even making sexually harassing comments toward girls he was encountering. When the parents confronted school officials, they were stunned to be told the boy’s rights as a self-proclaimed transgender trumped their daughters’ privacy rights. As the controversy grew, some students were threatened by school authorities with being kicked off school athletic teams or charged with hate crimes if they continued to voice concerns. The parents became aware of PJI’s Notice of Reasonable Expectation of Privacy and contacted PJI for help.

This became worldwide news. Guess what happened next? Gay activists and other left-wing groups started shrieking, “Fake story!”

FOX News, continuing its long history of anti-trans media coverage, is promoting a false story about a transgender high school student in Colorado who was allegedly harassing her peers. . . .
As the story was picked up by the Examiner.com, and internationally by the UK’s Daily Mail, Cristan Williams at the TransAdvocate pointed out the lack of input from any teachers, parents, or students at Florence High School, and decided to do some fact checking of her own. In a phone conversation with Cristan, Florence High School Superintendent Rhonda Vendetti clarified the misinformation, saying, “We do have a transgender student at the high school, and she has been using the women’s restrooms. There has not been a situation. All the students of these parents who say they feel uncomfortable just about the fact that the student is allowed to go into the restrooms at the high school, into the stalls – they don’t believe that that’s appropriate, so that’s where it stems from. There has not been an incident of harassment, or anything that would cause any additional concern.”

Do you see the trick there? Instead of this being a story about a genuinely creepy situation no sane parent would tolerate — a pathetic freak using the girl’s restroom — they want to shift the narrative, to turn it into a story about Fox News (evil!) and “anti-trans” bias.

Notice, however, that the school superintendent does not deny that parents have complained about the policy at issue.

Instead, the superintendent verbally minimizes the problem — ” parents who say they feel uncomfortable” — without directly addressing any of the complaints reported by the Pacific Justice Institute. How is this a “fake story,” when the superintendent actually confirms (a) that “a transgender student . . . has been using the women’s restrooms,” and (b) that parents have complained this is not “appropriate”?

(On what planet does anyone think this is “appropriate”?)

Yes, of course, the superintendent denies that her bizarre policy has led to “an incident of harassment, or anything that would cause any additional concern,” but what do we expect? Do we expect the superintendent to admit that her policy has led to harassment?

The predictable shrieks of “fake story” (e.g., Media Matters) are intended to discourage mainstream news organizations from picking up on the story, because the one thing the Left doesn’t want is for parents to understand how far their radical agenda has gone.

Notice, also, the shrewd P.R. tactics being employed: The superintendent gave an interview to her sympathizers at TransAdvocate, but  when National Review‘s Alec Torres tried to follow up, he was “was unable to reach Rhonda Vendetti, Florence High School’s superintendent, who will be out of the office for the rest of the week.” Convenient, eh?

What we are seeing here is a logical consequence of the Supreme Court’s 2003 Lawrence v. Texas ruling in which Justice Anthony Kennedy, in the process of invalidating state laws against sodomy, articulated the Emerging Awareness Doctrine:

In all events we think that our laws and traditions in the past half century are of most relevance here. These references show an emerging awareness that liberty gives substantial protection to adult persons in deciding how to conduct their private lives in matters pertaining to sex.

Even though Kennedy limited the scope of his (unconstitutional) idea to “adult persons,” it was inevitable that gay radicals would seek to apply this “substantial protection” to minors because:

  1. If public schools are about preparing children for adulthood, and adulthood means a weird carnival freak show of abnormality, then your kids must learn about dildos and drag queens;
    and
  2. Pedophiles have for decades sought to use the gay-rights movement as a vehicle for legalizing their own deviance.

This is not an allegation, but a well-documented fact, and the angry denials of gay activists, like the denials of the Colorado school superintendent, do not change the fact that people who (a) want to have sex with kids, also (b) support the gay rights agenda.

Putting liberal sympathizers like Principal Brian Schipper and Superintendent Rhonda Vendetti in charge of public schools is part of an agenda to institute favorable policies, implementing pro-homosexual curricula in the name of “anti-bullying” and “tolerance,” and teaching the kind of explicit “comprehensive” sex education advocated by the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

Of course, most sex offenders (including teachers) are heterosexual, but heterosexual perverts can’t hide behind claims of “equality” or accuse their critics of “discrimination,” “bigotry,” “hate,” et cetera. Pedophiles of all varieties are eager to advance the cause of deviant sexuality as a “right” because only under conditions Matt Barber has described as Sexual Anarchy can child molesters hope to find “tolerance.”

Letting a teenage drag queen use the girl’s bathroom? Hey, you can be sure that on the shadowy bulletin boards where pedophiles gather online, Principal Brian Schipper and Superintendent Rhonda Vendetti are their new heroes. Therefore, gay activists and the mainstream media are determined to marginalize and suppress this story, as the Pacific Justice Institute understands:

A story broken last week by Pacific Justice Institute and picked up by media outlets around the world has inspired near-panic among transgender advocates who have now begun their own counter-campaign in an attempt to divert attention away from the story. . . .
Under intense pressure, several news sites took down or retracted their stories rather than investigating further. Not so fast, say PJI attorneys.
“Transgender activists are in full damage control mode because they know how explosive and damaging to their cause this story is,” noted Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute. “The central issue in this case—a high school’s decision to give a biological teenage boy full access to teenage girls’ bathrooms is both disturbing and not seriously disputed. It is very revealing that the Superintendent is seeking sympathy from transgender activists instead of addressing the serious concerns raised in our letter.”

  1. “The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies Civil Rights Commission states under Rule 81.11 – Gender-Segregated Facilities (http://bit.ly/18jzRRz)
that nothing in the Colorado Antidiscrimination Act prohibits
segregation of facilities on the basis of gender; all covered entities
shall allow individuals the use of gender-segregated facilities that are
consistent with their gender identity, including but not limited to
restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms and dormitories; and in
gender-segregated facilities where undressing in the presence of others
occurs, covered entities shall make reasonable accommodations to allow
access consistent with an individual’s gender identity.”

The problem with the original PJI letter, and the CBN story, is it lacked sources, quotes, identities, or specific charges. It was merely a laundry list of unsubstantiated allegations.

There is no reason for “damage control,” because the transgirl was fully within her legal rights to use the restroom (see above regulation) in the public high school. PJI later admitted that their definition of harassment was the mere presence of the transgirl.

I’m no leftist. I read American Spectator. It was plain to see this story was a non-starter.

  2. Here is exactly what it says:

“DSM-5 aims to avoid stigma and ensure clinical care for individuals who see and feel themselves to be a different gender than their assigned gender. It replaces the diagnostic name “gender identity disorder” with “gender dysphoria,” as well as makes other important clarifications in the criteria. It is important to note that gender nonconformity is not in itself a mental disorder. The critical element of gender dysphoria is the presence of clinically significant distress associated with the condition.”

  3. E. Burke:…if we…use the same method of attack by which some men have assaulted revealed religion, we might…with the same success, make the wisdom and power of God in [H]is creation appear to many no better than foolishness. There is an air of plausibility which accompanies vulgar reasonings…that is admirably suited to the narrow capacities of some, and the laziness of others.

  4. It’s a popular left wing canard that conservatives are stupid (Archie Bunker, Major Frank Burns, etc.,) but it’s not true (Burke, Buckley, Hayek, Levin, Sowell.) Ironically, I was most dogmatic, intolerant, and frankly mistaken about facts when I was a liberal (20 yrs ago). Christianity opened my mind, which had been closed. Sometimes, when I’m dreaming, I think I’m awake; but when I’m awake, I never think I’m dreaming.

  5. Yes, but dont we end up voting for the lesser of two liberals? We should have stayed home in 08 and crushed McLame, then we would have had some clout. Now it’s always, “Thanks for the votes. See you in four years.” They take us for granted.

  6. BS – a big pile of it, too.
We know all we need to know about transgendered people. They are insane. Restrooms won’t change that.

  7. Dude in a wig, you can call anyone who disagrees with you “ignorant” and “bigoted” until hell freezes over, but it doesn’t make it so. What is there to “learn” about freakos like you? We know enough. You’re mental cases. We don’t allow insane men to go into women’s restrooms, that isn’t right.

  8. We lived in the Chicago area years ago, and still have friends there. Based on what they say, Obamessiah is likely to out himself near the end of his term, just to strike a blow (oops, wrong word) for his comrades on all fours.

  9. Why not make the confused kids go outside and do it in the snow? I’m betting that in the middle of January, the little “transexual” would suddenly realize he’s a boy after all?

  10. The Self-Mutilators (i.e., the trans creeps) hurt their own cause by posting photos of themselves. Think of the ugliest woman you ever saw, and she is still better looking than a guy in a woman’s wig. Even worse, some of these pervs expose half their jugs in the photos, looks even less natural than their hideous faces. Maybe they were hideous when they accepted that they were men, but what is the big deal there? I see lots of homely men who get married, have kids, the whole bit. Women overlook a guy’s appearance if he treats them nice. These guys who are mutilating themselves are into deep psychosis.

  11. “Yes, but dont we end up voting for the lesser of two liberals?”

It depends on the election. The numbers of people not voting are incredibly high. And a lesser liberal is better than a staunch liberal.

  12. You can’t do that…..Separate but equal has been found to be unconstitutional.

No, the several hundred people who are uncomfortable with it will just have to adjust their own attitudes rather than “stigmatizing” an single individual by providing them with their own bathroom.

After all it’s easier to let a few hundred girls feel bad collectively than risk having a boy who wants to be a girl use the boys bathroom. They can’t allow him to feel uncomfortable- he’s a special snowflake.
By letting entire group bear the burden they cannot be accused of not respecting the right, feelings and special needs of one confused individual.

  13. A boy or girl has chromosomes that have caused them to be born as one sex, but their psyche tells them that they are actually another and you don’t think there are mental health problems for that individual?

    Are you insane?

F_ck a bunch of reading Amanda. You ought to talk to one or two of these individuals yourself- you might learn something about transgendered people.
I’ve known two transgendered people who, if they are to be believed, have led hard lives and suffered grave mental difficulties because of their situations.
I do not think it’s a choice that an individual makes, I think it is precisely a mental health problem for the person. But hey, you’ve probably read a couple of magazine articles and so know what you are talking about right?

That said, why does it have to be a mental health problem for everyone else forced to allow a boy to use the girls restroom?

  14. Ah….the mantra of the progressives:
“Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. You will be assimilated.Resistance is futile.”

    Go fuck yourself.

  15. most pedophilies are straight married men some married women and religious people and that is from studies about pedophilia

  16. cmdr358 i am a transsexual woman i know all the issues i am still pre-op. i have many trans friends and its not a mental health issue

  17. homosexuality is not something that human do alone there are at least 100 species on this world where its found too.

  18. And there we have it. I so appreciate it when you lot bring this argument up. The moment you compare yourself to an animal any debate from my end is meaningless.

Yes, Amanda, you and your LGBTQWTF Coalition of Deviance™ are animals and what you are doing to the nation’s children is unforgivable.

  19. I was not inferring that the transgender phsyche was the mental health problem.
What I was stating was that the complexity of being a transgendered person results in varying amounts of isolation, ostracism and self-doubt amongst other issues. In other words, mental health problems.
I’m a live and let live kind of guy, but when individuals or micro-groups of special interests attempt to impose their issues upon society as a whole then that’s when my live and let live philosophy stops.
If you’ve got a penis, you don’t get to use the ladies room – end of fucking discussion.
Good luck to you in whatever you do.Just don’t expect the world to conform to your individual desires.

  20. Actually, segregation of bathroom facilities on the basis of gender is constitutional. What I am suggesting is the addition of a third room – the Transgender Room – between the Men’s Room and the Women’s Room.

  21. I was referring to TEACHERS preying upon transgendered students using the restrooms in the Staff Room.

  22. I can’t tell if that is argumentum ad absurdum or not. My suggestion is a legitimate one. It is working in the places it is used.

  23. The problem here is individuals claiming to self-identify as a different gender using the loop hole inherent to perv on the objects of their sexual inclination. It is what the young women are claiming is happening here.

  24. Conservatives who stayed home gave the vote to Obama in ’12, and from what I have heard from local GOP officials, they know it. The problem is, that hasn’t sunk in at the national level. Maybe if we vote out the incumbents this time, the message will sink in. Primary the incumbents, make them prove they are worth keeping in office.

  25. Such discrimination! Such bigotry! I will never patronize another Hooters again (not that I ever did, but it’s the thought that counts, does it not?).

  26. I got what you were saying……was just poking fun at what will inevitably be the response by the progressives.

  27. Baseless accusation, in the same manner as the PJI letter. The transgirl has been presenting as female in every way for several years. She is mentally and emotionally female. There is nothing to suggest any sexual harassment or perversion.

  28. They are not “insane.” They have a medical condition. Why do you insist on unlawfully discriminating?

  29. Many transitioned transsexuals blend seamlessly into the population. As do many intersexed persons. It is not insane to want your body to reflect your mental identity. Cosmetic surgery is, after all, a multi-Billion dollar industry.

  30. You are dealing with a civil right being exercised by a transgirl. There is no evidence she is “confused” – quite to the contrary; she is taking action to address her gender dysphoria.

As the transgirl is a member of a lawfully protected class, what some, or even the majority of the other girls think, is beside the point. Those girls could likewise object to sharing a bathroom with a girl of another race, or religion, or a lesbian, or who is disabled – and they would be equally in the wrong.
