Nashville: ‘Lone Wolf’ Suicide Bomber

Police have identified Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, as the perpetrator of the Christmas morning explosion in Nashville. It is believed that Warner acted alone and that he died in the blast:

Metro Nashville Police Department Spokesman Don Aaron confirmed Warner’s identity to the Associated Press on Sunday. He did not provide any more details. However, Warner had experience with electronics and alarms, according to public records. . . .
It appears to be a “lone wolf” situation, but the motive remains under investigation. Authorities do not believe the city of Nashville is in danger.
Separately, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press that federal investigators have started examining Warner’s digital footprint and financial history.

The Internet has been buzzing with two slightly separate but related theories of Warner’s motive, based on the fact that the target of his attack seems to have been the AT&T facility in downtown Nashville. Either (a) Warner was “paranoid” about 5G technology or (b) Warner was concerned about AT&T’s (very real) involvement in federal surveillance.

Keep in mind that both of these theories are just speculation. We do not yet know if Warner left behind any kind of “manifesto” or some other indication of his motive. Warner’s father, who died in 2011, “once worked for BellSouth communications before it merged with AT&T,” according to investigators, so it is possible that Warner had some kind of personal grievance against the company. Much speculation, however, has focused on conspiracy theories about 5G technology:

Law enforcement and intelligence agencies warned in May of this year about escalating threats targeting 5G communications infrastructure, a possible motive now being considered by investigators looking into the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville, according to government documents reviewed by Yahoo News. . . .
5G is the latest standard for broadband cellular networks, which is expected to dramatically increase data transfer speeds. . . .
A May 14 Joint Intelligence Bulletin produced by the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI and the National Counterterrorism Center warns of social media posts calling on people to “target critical infrastructure including cell towers, locations associated with the electric power grid, and other sites associated with perceived impending government action against citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic” and referring to past attacks in Europe and the United States on cell towers.
The bulletin notes that there have been dozens of recent attacks on cell towers, particularly those associated with 5G service, in Western Europe. While there have been fewer such attacks in the United States — just six, according to the bulletin — there have been increasing online calls for such attacks, according to the document. . . .
“Online calls for targeting have focused particularly on those facilities believed to be equipped with 5G wireless technologies, probably in part because of the recent proliferation of conspiracy theories that falsely link the COVID-19 pandemic spread with 5G infrastructure development, including beliefs that 5G towers cause the spread of COVID-19 or weaken the immune system allowing transmission of COVID-19,” the document says.
The intelligence bulletin also says that some of the calls for attacks on critical infrastructure sites, like those connected to 5G, appear to come from white supremacists.

Oh, of course, they had to throw in the “white supremacist” angle, despite the complete lack of evidence connecting Warner to any such ideology, and despite the fact that 5G conspiracy theories are also rampant in minority communities and among left-wing anarchist types.

Beyond mere speculation and politically motivated finger-pointing, however, there is the reality — not a theory, but a fact — that AT&T is working with the National Security Agency.

AT&T Helped U.S. Spy on Internet on a Vast Scale

That’s a 2015 headline from the New York Times which, so far as I know, is not a right-wing “white supremacist” conspiracy theory site.

The NSA’s Hidden Spy Hubs in Eight U.S. Cities

That’s a 2018 headline from the Intercept, and although Nashville was not named as a site of one of these “NSA spy hubs,” there’s this:

The NSA considers AT&T to be one of its most trusted partners and has lauded the company’s “extreme willingness to help.” It is a collaboration that dates back decades.

So if you’re concerned about federal surveillance, you would certainly consider AT&T one of the bad guys. But it’s best to avoid any kind of potentially paranoia-inducing information if you’re concerned about your mental health. That is to say, if we are being targeted for warrantless surveillance by an all-powerful “Them” — Big Brother, the Deep State, rogue agents trampling on our constitutional rights — I don’t want to think too much about it, or it might drive me completely bonkers.

“How to Maintain Your Sanity” — trust me, I’m an expert.

‘Person of Interest’

Everybody is now reporting — although police have not yet officially confirmed — that Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, has been identified as a “person of interest” in Friday’s Nashville explosion. ATF and FBI agents are reportedly searching Warner’s home in the Nashville suburb of Antioch, Tennessee. He reportedly gave away his home to a woman last month, and at least to me, this would seem to suggest that Warner (who was unmarried and had no children) was in a state of suicidal despair.

So my guess would be that Warner blew himself up in the explosion, and the real mystery is why he apparently targeted the AT&T building.

Mysterious Explosion in Nashville

This appears to be some kind of terrorist attack:

A bomb planted in a recreational vehicle parked in the deserted streets of downtown Nashville exploded early Christmas morning, injuring three people and creating chaotic communications outages that took down police emergency systems.
The explosion was preceded by a chilling warning that urged people to evacuate the area.
Three people were hospitalized in stable condition Friday evening, and human remains may have been found at the scene, authorities said.
“We have found tissue that we believe could be remains,” Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake said at a news conference Friday afternoon. The chief said it was unclear if the remains came from someone in the RV.
“The RV was detonated so if it was someone inside, we have no idea,” Drake said. “It was such a large explosion.”
Police were responding to a report of shots fired when they found the vehicle, with an eerie recording playing, Drake said. The voice on the recording commanded: “If you can hear this message, evacuate now.”
Police called in the bomb squad and rushed to clear nearby buildings.
“The officers immediately began knocking on doors and evacuating residents here, not knowing if the bomb was going to go off immediately, or if it was going to go off in the time that was stated,” Drake said. “The officers saved lives today, and their heroism should be noted.”
The blast occurred at 6:29 a.m. local time, before the bomb squad arrived.
The explosion was near an AT&T building, causing disruptions in phone service and 911 systems up to 180 miles away. The Federal Aviation Administration temporarily stopped flights out of Nashville International Airport due to the communications problems.
AT&T said in a statement it was “putting the full force of our disaster recovery efforts into responding to this morning’s explosion in Nashville.”

That the bomb was placed next to an AT&T building suggests that this was the intended target. So who would want to take out this communication facility and why? And why Nashville, of all places?

Also, what about that recorded warning to evacuate the area? This is further evidence suggesting that the bomber sought to destroy the AT&T building, rather than seeking to maximize human casualties, as terrorist bombers normally would. Setting the bomb at 6:30 a.m. on Christmas morning, when the streets were empty, is also evidence pointing in the same direction. But that might be a red herring, an attempt to mislead investigators by creating misleading evidence. The bomb might be an elaborate cover-up to conceal another crime, as police suspected in the case of the Speedway Bomber.

The investigation will obviously begin with determining who owned that RV. Once that is known, the rest of the relevant facts will come tumbling out in a rush. Building an enormous bomb requires time and resources, as well as extensive specialized knowledge. Achieving a timed detonation, as appears to be the case here, is a difficult feat, requiring the bomb-maker to avoid a premature accidental detonation.

If the motive for this bombing is political, what sort of politics? They did not choose as their target a synagogue or a mosque, nor was the target a government building or the office of a political party. The choice of the AT&T building — what does that suggest? AT&T is a gigantic conglomerate that bought out Time-Warner a few years ago. But why would the bomber target the company’s Nashville office? This is a strange puzzle, and I’m sure when the case is solved — probably within the next 72 hours — the story behind it will be quite interesting.

UPDATE: A 63-year-old man is reportedly a “person of interest.”

Biden Voter Enacts Democrat Agenda

Defund the police because “social justice”:

A gunman killed two people and wounded three others in a series of shootings and carjackings that ended with a high-speed chase as he fled police. He ultimately wrecked the car he stole and killed himself, while his remaining hostage survived, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.
The string of crimes began Sunday morning along Interstate 24 near Beechgrove when Dangelo Dorsey, 29, opened fire inside a moving vehicle, killing one person and wounding another, TBI Director David Rausch said in a news release.
Dorsey, of St. Louis, Missouri, got out of the vehicle as traffic came to a halt on the interstate, shooting a driver in the hand as he attempted to carjack her vehicle, and shooting a nearby truck driver in the face, Rausch said.
Dorsey then carjacked a man and woman, forcing them to drive him to their home in Morrison, Rausch said. While there, Dorsey allegedly stole two of their guns, swapped vehicles and forced the man and woman to go with him.
At some point, authorities said, Dorsey fatally shot the man and forced his body out of the vehicle along I-24 near Manchester, then drove off with the woman still inside the car.
Officials then located the SUV and a chase ensued, reaching speeds over 100 mph (161 kph). The SUV crashed and flipped, Rausch said.
“At that point, Dorsey took his own life,” Rausch stated. “The female hostage was safely recovered.”

Murder, carjacking, kidnapping — that’s what Democrats want. That’s their policy platform in a nutshell. Criminals support Joe Biden.

University of Tennessee Football Program Has Finally Reached Rock Bottom

Morgan Hood is a worthless backstabbing whore who, perhaps not coincidentally, attends the University of Tennessee. While it would probably be unfair, even by the trash-talking standards of SEC football rivalry, for me to say that all Tennessee girls are worthless backstabbing whores, I think every Alabama fan will agree that Ms. Hood is typical of the caliber of coeds at Knoxville. It’s like the old joke:

Q. Why didn’t the University of Tennessee have a Christmas play?
A. They couldn’t find three wise men and virgin.

If you’re not from the South, you perhaps don’t understand how college football is imbued with moral values down home. When your team wins, you  feel personally vindicated by this proof of your collective superiority, whereas when you lose . ,. . Well, go ask Tennessee fans how that feels.

When was the last time Tennessee beat a ranked team? I don’t know, but this year the Vols lost their home opener to Georgia State, a Sun Belt conference team, which is pretty humiliating for any SEC school. In the past three seasons, Tennessee has lost three times to Georgia, by a cumulative total of 122-26. Florida has won 14 of its last 15 games against Tennessee and as for Alabama, well, this year’s freshmen at UT were only 4 years old the last time the Crimson Tide lost to the Volunteers.

Yet the shameful state of Tennessee’s football program had not reached its absolute nadir until this week, thanks to a worthless whore:

Hundreds of thousands of social media users have watched University of Tennessee quarterback Brian Maurer’s ex-girlfriend celebrate dumping him on TikTok.
Morgan Hood, a sophomore at the school, recently took to the social media platform to share a humorous but scathing video about the end of the couple’s relationship, in which she indicates that she’s much better off without him.
The TikTok quickly went viral — but has led to the young Nashville native being brutally trolled on Twitter. . . .;

Wait a minute — you post an online video humiliating your ex-boyfriend, and then you’re surprised at “being brutally trolled”? But Morgan Hood is phenomenally stupid, even by Tennessee standards:

Morgan participated in a hot TikTok trend in which newly single women lip-sync to a portion of the song ‘All You Wanna Do’ from the West End musical Six.
In Morgan’s video, a montage of photos of her with 18-year-old Brian appear on the screen before she pops up in the foreground.
There’s a snap of them at a football game, a FaceTime call, and pictures of Brian in uniform — including one falling on his face during a game against Mississippi State on October 12.
‘Yeah, that didn’t work out,’ she lip-syncs. ‘So I decided to have a break from boys. And you’ll never guess who I met.’
While other TikTok users often uses the point to introduce new romances, Morgan takes the opportunity to list on screen all of the ways her life is better now that she’s single.
These include ‘better grades,’ ‘hydrated [because] less crying,’ ‘no more girls in my dms telling me he’s cheating, ‘my real friends,’ ‘sleep,’ and ‘less people asking how he is ???’
She then answers the question of ‘who she met’: Me, Myself, and I.
Brian, who Morgan dated for at least a year, responded with a dismissive reply: ‘Girls do anything for they 15 seconds of fame.’
But other commenters have been even harsher in condemning Morgan. . . .
Morgan has since deleted the video on TikTok and responded with a message on Instagram.
‘I did not intend for any of this to happen,’ she said. . . .
‘I simply made a TikTok that hundreds of other girls have made. I didn’t make it as a crazy ex seeking revenge, and anyone that has ever seen a TikTok should know this.
‘All of it has been blown extremely out of proportion. . . .
‘Trust me when I tell you that having people troll you and say mean things is not fun. It is hard to realize there is another human being on the receiving end of your words.’

Oh, the worthless whore who deliberately humiliated her ex-boyfriend — who just happens to be the quarterback of her university’s football team — wants to remind everyone she’s a “human being.”

This is why no decent football player wants to go to Tennessee. All the girls there are worthless backstabbing whores like Morgan Hood. And as for those “girls in my dms telling me he’s cheating” — who are these girls, Morgan? Please post their names to your social media, so that everybody on the campus in Knoxville knows who they are. Social media makes it easy to spread this kind of gossip, and the people who are targeted by such character assassins usually have no idea who is doing it to them. Whether or not Brian Maurer was cheating, to publicize this kind of gossip is as bad or worse than doing a victory dance at the expense of your ex-boyfriend. What you have done by your beastly behavior, Ms. Hood, is to prove that you are not a human being. You’re a wicked monster, and no decent person would ever associate with you.

The only joy I take in this is the knowledge that (a) this embarrassment has so humiliated and demoralized Brian Maurer that his football career is effectively over, and (b) seeing what trashy whores attend the University of Tennessee will likely encourage more of the state’s top athletes to attend the University of Alabama instead. Roll Tide!

Empowering Women

Feminists probably won’t approve what’s happening in Tennessee:

Imagine being defenseless during a dangerous situation. You might feel helpless and scared.
To change all that, one woman is leading a new gun safety group just for women.
“Keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot. OK, get deep, bend your legs.” Kristin Corbitt explained steps of holding a gun to a woman at a shooting range in Blount County.
She wants to help protect women by showing them how to protect themselves.
“We can’t always wait for help to come,” said Corbitt.
That’s why she says she plans to lead a new shooting chapter called “The Well Armed Woman.”
“We are here to help women be educated, empowered and equipped with firearm safety,” explained Corbitt, “I wanted to bring this chapter here because we don’t have very many opportunities for women around here like this.” . . .
“When I was sixteen I was attempted kidnapped and my mom took me out to shoot,” said Corbitt. . . .
She has one goal.
“I would like to see every woman that would like to be equipped in how to use a firearm become more educated on how to use that firearm,” explained Corbitt.
The first meeting is Friday night at 6:30. It will be held at New Providence Masonic Lodge at 318 Ellis Ave. in Maryville. Meetings will be held monthly on the third Friday and are open to women 21 years and older that may legally own a firearm.
The annual chapter membership costs $50 and offers members local and national discounts and covers chapter expenses.

A Hate Crime in Tennessee

Bailey Cantrell is a lesbian.

L-E-S-B-I-A-N

In case you don’t know what that word means, it is a synonym for “no.” If you are a guy trying to pick up girls, and a girl tells you she is a lesbian, that is the most emphatic “no” possible, as I have explained previously.

Common courtesy — the basis of civilized society — requires that men must accept romantic rejection with gracious equanimity. If a man attempts to engage a woman’s interest and she indicates by word or gesture that she does not reciprocate his feelings, he should apologize for his presumption and move along. She owes him no explanation, and it is rude for him to ask for an explanation or otherwise to make himself a nuisance by his continued unwanted presence. When a woman tells a man “no,” what she wants is for him to go away and leave her alone.

We need not justify such courtesy as a matter of chivalrous deference, when it can be better understood as a matter of male self-interest. A man who persists in a romantic pursuit that is hopeless is wasting his time and impairing his reputation. Such behavior — pestering a girl with unwanted attention — is evidence of poor judgment. Only a fool would need to be told “no” more than once. Guys, understand this: Women talk. When word gets around that you have made a nuisance of yourself by bothering a girl who has made clear her lack of interest, you will soon find that you are persona non grata with all her friends, completely ostracized.

If a man has any sense of his own personal dignity, of course, he will naturally feel insulted by her rejection. By approaching her and expressing his interest, he was acting on the belief that he was a worthy suitor, and that she would be grateful for his attention to her. By rejecting him, not only does she implicitly pronounce him unworthy — inferior, and therefore undesirable as a romantic companion — but she also exposes him as a fool, for he had so overestimated himself as to imagine she would welcome his attention. It takes tremendous psychological strength for a man to cope with this kind of insult, but without such mental toughness, it would be impossible for him ever to approach any woman, because there is always the risk of rejection. After some years of experience, I think most men reach the same resolve that I long ago made about such matters: She will never get a second chance to tell me “no.”

Sweetheart, I may be stupid, but I’m not too dumb to take a hint. If a woman told me “no” once, she could be sure I wouldn’t ask twice. It is the height of arrogance for a woman to expect a man to continue the pursuit after she’s turned him down once, as if she were the only woman in the world and he had no other options. Sometimes, I’d encounter a woman who thought she could play games like this, expecting me to keep chasing her after she said “no,” and such women seemed to have their feelings hurt when I refused to play along. If you want to play games, go play somewhere else, but you can’t play with me — that was my attitude back in the day, at any rate, but I digress . . .

Bailey Cantrell is a lesbian, as I say, and last year she had the misfortune of meeting a fool who didn’t know how to take “no” for an answer:

According to a report from Metro Nashville Police, a man approached Cantrell while she was on the phone and asked for her phone number. Cantrell rebuffed his advances twice. The third time, she told the man she would not be interested in exchanging numbers because she identifies as a lesbian.
That’s when the man launched himself onto the hood of her car, kicked in her windshield and proceeded to drag her to the ground.
“I said I’m gay, so I’m just not interested, and that triggered him,” Cantrell said. “I do believe it was a hate crime.”
Police responded to the gas station, located at 2804 West End Avenue, shortly after the incident occurred at 12:30 a.m. on July 28. Two officers took the report, but were not able to locate the subject.
Witnesses on the scene said the man is new to the Nashville area and stays at the Rescue Mission.

Bailey Cantrell’s story was featured on Inside Edition:

“This man approached me and was asking for my phone number and, you know, calling me all these names,” Cantrell told WTVF-TV. . . .
Surveillance video from the gas station captured the man jumping onto the hood of Cantrell’s car and stomping in her windshield.
Cantrell put her car into reverse, but the man followed, continuing to attack her vehicle.
She said she tried to drive away, but couldn’t see where she was driving because of the damage.
“The only thing I was thinking while that was going on was that he might have a weapon; he might have a knife, he might have a gun, I don’t know,” Cantrell said.
Eventually, she panicked and got out of her car.
“I only reversed to knock him over, make him fall, but that didn’t work so when I got out I was getting out to grab my phone and call 911,” she said. “Also there was glass in my eye from where all that glass had hit us and I felt like I just needed to get out of the car.”
That’s when the man focused his rage on her.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect rushing toward Cantrell, grabbing her and dragging her away from the car. Cantrell managed to free herself from his grasp and the police were eventually called.
Cantrell lived minutes away from the gas station, but has chosen to move back into her parents’ home in Hendersonville, where she feels safer.
Nashville Metro Police are reportedly investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made. Cantrell said she hopes he’s caught soon.
“Since he did this and got away with it, he doesn’t have any repercussions,” she said. “He’s going to think, ‘Oh, if this girl rejected me, I can just do this to her and it’s going to be totally fine. I didn’t get caught last time.'”

Now, as Ms. Cantrell has called this a “hate crime,” why didn’t Nashville police make the investigation a top priority? Watch the video and see if you can’t guess why they never caught the perp:

Probably not a Trump voter, if you catch my drift. Just another case of violence against women that feminists won’t notice, for some reason.

Taylor Swift, SJW

Pop culture in the Age of Wokeness:

When did Phil Bredesen become a heroic figure in “the fight for LGBTQ rights”? That was the first thought that hit me when I read pop singer Taylor Swift’s endorsement of the Tennessee Democrat’s Senate campaign on her Tumblr fan page. Miss Swift seems to be under the impression that Bredesen, a 74-year-old former governor, is some kind of progressive Trojan Horse. While the Democrat has been trying to paint himself as a common-sense moderate, Miss Swift conveyed to her impressionable young fans the idea that Bredesen is secretly a Social Justice Warrior (SJW) committed to fighting “any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender” and ending the allegedly “terrifying, sickening and prevalent” problem of “systemic racism.”
Are those the themes of Bredesen’s campaign ads in Tennessee? Did I somehow miss the news that the septuagenarian former governor underwent an ideological makeover to become a radical clone of Cory Booker? Or is Miss Swift’s endorsement of Bredesen an ill-considered attempt by the singer to dispel the criticism she received from the Left for avoiding political commentary during the Trump era?
For months, leftists have been hammering Miss Swift for her failure to support Hillary Clinton’s campaign, or to condemn President Trump since his election. Despite being one of the most successful female entertainers in history, Miss Swift was accused of doing feminism wrong. The website Everyday Feminist slammed her in September 2015 with a headline: “5 Ways Taylor Swift Exemplifies White Feminism — And Why That’s a Problem.” . . .
