Time for Some Zeppelin

Of course, it’s ALWAYS time for some Zeppelin:
It Never Happened, Nobody Saw It Happen, and I Was Never There

Ben Howe, Moe Lane, Roger Simon, Bryan Preston, Paul Mirengoff, Gabriel Malor, Rob Bluey, Dan Riehl, Ace of Spades, Mike Flynn, Philip Klein, Jim Antle, Michael Brendan Dougherty, Justin Hart, John Hawkins, Adam Tragone, Alana Goodman, Mary Katharine Ham, Katie Pavlich, Stephen Hayes, Alex Pappas, Byron York, Matt Lewis, Lachlan Markay, James Joyner, Amanda Carpenter, Jim Geraghty . . .
You may ask: “What do these people have in common?”
Answer: They are all notorious right-wing liars.
So if any of them claim they were all together at a “secret meeting” with a so-called VIP Wednesday afternoon in D.C., don’t believe a word of it.
If someone tries to tell you that my phone rang in the middle of the alleged “meeting” and that, while trying to turn off my phone, I knocked over my coffee cup, which spilled in Alana Goodman’s lap . . .?
Lies. All lies.
Also, the thing about Ace calling Dan Riehl a “kiss-ass”? Never happened.
Which isn’t to say that Dan is incapable of ass-kissing – “Oh, thank you and your lovely wife for favoring us with your gracious presence, Governor” – but I’m pretty sure that Ace would have described him as an “obsequious sycophant” rather than a mere ass-kisser, had they ever been sitting next to each other in a meeting with a VIP, which they so obviously weren’t.
Never trust those lying liars. Because they lie.
UPDATE: Thanks to Zilla of the Resistance who, via Twitter, offers this new hashtag: #NotGoodEnoughForRomCon — heh!
To make clear: I officially deny everything.
UPDATE II: The Lonely Conservative is hurt that she didn’t get invited to The Meeting That Never Happened. William Jacobson says: “I would not have gone, so it’s a good thing you didn’t invite me.” Except of course, there was no meeting!
The wild-eyed rumors that such a meeting happened are being spread by Lying Liars Who Lie, and you shouldn’t believe them.
UPDATE III: Bethany Mandel offers helpful encouragement:
I think you are mentally unbalanced. You need professional help.
Thanks! I needed that!

Now and then, one gets trashed so hard that the best course of action is to join the audience in admiration of a good trashing:
When did Smitty turn into a Progressive? He seems to claim charisma is a zero sum game. He claims the charismatically rich Paul Ryan got that way from robbing the poor TrogloPundit. He doesn’t believe in trickle down charisma or the Laugher Curve of charismatic outflow elasticity.
All of this, of course, is unfair.
Rule 5 SundayThursday

Well, it was going to be Rule 5 Sunday, but then the internet died, and then three days of CPA exam madness got in the way, and the next thing I knew it was 0200 Thursday morning…
Laughing Conservative kicks off this week’s Rule 5 roundup with Lucy Pinder, while Fishersville Mike reminds us that the hockey season’s not over yet. Randy’s Roundtable takes a midweek break with Sonya Kraus, Eye of Polyphemus shows that Mila Kunis can be sexier with her clothes on than a lot of other women nekkid, and The POH Diaries continues that theme with Kate Upton and her Beach Bunny Casual collection. Zion’s Trumpet brings some Tumblr babes to our attention, the First Street Journal honors the WACs and other women in uniform, and the TrogloPundit gets not one but two posts about Valeriana Lukyanova, the “Human Barbie”. Elsewhere, Three Beers Later draws the line at Rule 5 1/2, while Dustbury has Lorianne Crook with Taylor Swift and Masiela Lusha.
Soylent Green starts the week early by studying gravity, then comes Monday Motivationer Malena, Tuesday Titillation with Shannon, Humpday Hawtness with Allie, Subterranean Snoochettes from Saturn, more Addie, Corset Friday – Have A Fit!, and finally some Overnight Awesome On The Rocks.
El Opinador Compulsivo distills two weeks’ snoochery into one set of links, and delivers with Christina Iannelli, Lisa Morales, Luisana Lopilato (with an unfortunate T-shirt), a high-res collection, and not one, not two, but three ladies to inspire pleasant dreams, followed by some morning exercise.
A View From The Beach has Claudia Schiffer, necrophilia in Egypt, Mila Kunis, a link between drinking and tattoos, and Carla Bruni.
The Camp of the Saints offers Diana Morales, the Rule 5 News, and Laura Prepon
The DaleyGator’s DaleyBabes were Kiara Asuka, Misaki Mori, Hayden Panettiere, Mayuko Iwasa, Kerry Washington, Minase Yashiro, Joelle Kayembe (with some Rule 5 linkagery), Momoka Kanou, Monica Artega, Salma Hayek’s new ad for Burger King, Amika Hattan, Crystal Bernard, Yoko Kumada, Denise Paglia, Yui Minami, Beyonce with additional Rule 5 linkagery; also, a post on offending feminists with Rule 5.
Thanks to everyone for their linkagery! Deadline for Sunday’s Rule 5 roundup will be Saturday, May 5.
When Do We Say ‘Up The Left!’?

Insty points to Treacher going on about the latest shenanigans at Wikipedia. It seems that it’s OK to have a page about Seamus the Dog, of Romney family fame, but no one need be bothered with talk of Obama’s dog consumption. Even though the dog munching is in one of Obama’s biographies, the dog may have been a composite of several species of small furry animals gathered together in a pot and grooving to world music. Wikipedia is great for scientific stuff, but goes high and to the left whenever a political topic emerges. This comes on the heels of Chris Loesch getting tooled on Twitter for offending the powers-that-delete.
In defense of these Lefty jackwagons, if you’re not paying the hosting fee for the service, you haven’t got much to say. Which brings me to my point. When are we going to shift emphasis from Wikipedia and Twitter to things like Conservapedia? While it makes sense to return to the usual sites to engage the Left, there needs to be some thought given to alternatives.
Maybe a Breitbart.com or a PJMedia could undertake such a project.

I’m looking at this rack of links from Reboot Congress, and I’m thinking: wow, DSM digs him some Lugar about as much as I enjoy cheering on ‘Gentleman’ Jim Moran, which is to say, not at all:

So, Will Lugar Be The New Murkowski?
Posted on | May 2, 2012 | 26 Comments

Legal Insurrection points to some National Journal polling showing Tea Party favorite Mourdock in a statistical dead heat. Politico notes:
The Lugar campaign’s 3-to-1 spending advantage has allowed it to portray Mourdock as an untrustworthy tax cheat who has “sold out to D.C. outsiders,” practices “the politics of personal destruction” and “will say anything to get elected.”
As Doug Ross has pointed out, incumbency, if not the source of our woes, sure packs a heavy correlation with them. Next Tuesday’s GOP primary in Indiana promises to be a humdinger. The question on my mind is, if Lugar gets beat, will he run as an independent, a la Lisa Murkowski? I figure Lugar will, because hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Richard Mourdock for Senate
Aside: is Twitter toast?
