Further Epstein ‘Mystery’

Posted on | August 14, 2019 | Comments Off on Further Epstein ‘Mystery’

From Zero Hedge:

The warden of the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) where Jeffrey Epstein died has been temporarily reassigned to the Bureau’s Northeast Regional Office by Attorney General William Barr, according to a Tuesday statement by the Justice Department. Meanwhile, two prison employees who had been assigned to Epstein’s unit have been placed on administrative leave pending ongoing investigations, according to CNBC

Department of Justice spokewoman Kerri Kupec, in a prepared statement said, “Today, the Attorney General directed the Bureau of Prisons to temporarily assign the warden at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York to the Bureau’s Northeast Regional Office pending the outcome of the FBI and OIG investigations into the apparent suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, a former MCC inmate.”
FCI Otisville Warden James Petrucci has been named Acting Warden of the MCC New York. The Bureau of Prisons also placed on administrative leave two MCC staff assigned to Mr. Epstein’s unit pending the outcome of the investigations. Additional actions may be taken as the circumstances warrant.” –CNBC

The morning of Jeffrey Epstein’s death, “shouting and shrieking” could be heard from his jail cell, according to CBS News – while guards attempting to revive him were saying “breathe, Epstein, breathe.”

The old adage is that one should never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by incompetence and, when federal employees are involved, there’s never a shortage of incompetence.

But still, Vince Foster could not be reached for comment.

Two Illegal Aliens in Maryland Accused of Raping 11-Year-Old Girl

Posted on | August 14, 2019 | Comments Off on Two Illegal Aliens in Maryland Accused of Raping 11-Year-Old Girl

In July, Democrats in Montgomery County, Maryland, banned local officials from cooperating with ICE:

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, a Democrat, on Monday signed the Promoting Community Trust Executive Order, prohibiting all executive-branch departments from, among other things, using local government resources to assist federal agents in civil immigration investigations.
That means they cannot allow U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers into nonpublic spaces in government buildings or give them access to individuals in county government custody — unless they are in possession of a court order or criminal warrant. . . .
Police in Montgomery, where immigrants make up 30% of the 1 million residents, have refused since 2014 to cooperate with ICE agents on immigration enforcement, which is considered a civil matter rather than a criminal one.

Now, the latest news from Montgomery County:

Two undocumented immigrants are accused of raping an 11-year-old girl on different occasions, the common denominator being a friendship with the victim’s older brother.
Montgomery County Police have arrested Mauricio Barrera-Navidad, 29, of Damascus, and Carlos Palacios-Amaya, 28, of Gaithersburg, and charged each with second-degree rape.
Last month, the victim — now 12-years-old — spoke with a social worker at her middle school in Germantown. Talking through tears, the girl shared the painful details about what both men allegedly did to her. . . .
In September 2018, the victim was introduced to her older brother’s friend, Palacios-Amaya. Over the course of the next few months, the then 27-year-old man raped the middle schooler on multiple occasions, authorities allege. The victim recalled one instance where Palacios-Amaya “used his cell phone to video record the two of them having sex,” police noted in court documents.
The victim told the social worker that Palacios-Amaya would often pressure her not to attend school so that she could stay home while her parents were at work. That gave Palacios-Amaya unsupervised access to the girl.
Investigators say while reviewing the victim’s cell phone, they located numerous photographs of Palacios-Amaya with the girl.
The other suspect, Barrera-Navidad, reportedly attended the victim’s older brother’s birthday party on July 2018. The celebration took place at a mobile home park in Germantown.
At one point in the evening, Barrera-Navidad and the 11-year-old victim entered a bedroom. According to police, Barrera-Navidad raped the girl and then continued to communicate with her via cell phone for an undisclosed period of time thereafter. . . .
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement tells ABC7 that Barrera-Navidad and Palacios-Amaya are both living in the country illegally.
In December 2016, an immigration judge issued Barrera-Navidad a “final order of removal.” It’s unclear why the Salvadoran national remained in the country.
In 2014, federal authorities removed Palacios-Amaya from the U.S. for an undisclosed reason. The 28-year-old — who ICE referred to as a “repeat immigration violator” — returned to the U.S. on an unknown date.

More violence against women feminists won’t notice, for some reason.

The Antonym of ‘Dignity’: Guys, Never Do What Liam Hemsworth Did

Posted on | August 13, 2019 | 1 Comment

Do I want to write about Miley Cyrus again? No, like every other human being with any sense of decency, I’d prefer to ignore her existence. She is a disgrace to humanity, a noxious stain on the planet. After my Monday post (“Never Trust a Bisexual”) about how Miley had betrayed her husband Liam Hemsworth, I did not intend to pay any further attention to her, but then I saw the latest update on the Cyrus-Hemsworth split:

Liam Hemsworth spoke out about his separation from Miley Cyrus in a statement on Monday night.
“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” the 29-year-old “Hunger Games” star wrote on Instagram. “This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love.” . . .
Some reports suggested Cyrus wanted an open relationship with Hemsworth that allowed her to “have fun” with other men and women while remaining married to him. On Monday, a source told People that Cyrus wanted to go to couple’s therapy with Hemsworth to be in “a healthy and focused place.” . . .
An insider told Entertainment Tonight that [Hemsworth] wasn’t shocked by her hookup with Carter but that the marriage may not be totally over.
“Liam loves Miley and is hurt, but he knows that she does this,” a source said. “Miley and Liam very recently separated. Miley’s behavior is no shock to Liam. He is hurt but not surprised. The last several months they’ve been talking about taking a break. Liam’s been frustrated with some of her antics and, in turn, Miley claims she ‘needs her space.’ This seems to be a pattern in their relationship.”
The insider added, “Miley and Liam love each other and always will. Most of their friends feel they’ll be back together. No one thinks Miley and Kaitlynn are in a real relationship, they believe it’s more fun on vacation.”

Now, we must doubt that the “insider” source quoted here was speaking with Hemsworth’s permission, but he himself was responsible for wishing “nothing but health and happiness” to Cyrus — which is something that no intelligent man would ever say about someone who had humiliated him in such a public fashion as Cyrus had done to Hemsworth.

Liam Hemsworth has let himself be played for a chump. Miley Cyrus has wiped her feet on his reputation, quite deliberately, and he seems to have no comprehension of what has happened to him, or why it happened.

Of course, if he had any concern for his own dignity, Liam Hemsworth never would have gotten involved with a trashy slut like that, but then to permit her to drag his reputation through the mud — which is what she has done, and not accidentally so — and act as if she is still deserving of his further sincere good wishes, can only be explained as expressive of a profound masochistic tendency on Hemsworth’s part.

Consider how this split has been reported by the tabloid press. We are told that “they’ve been talking about taking a break” for months, even though they only married in December. So it appears that Miley’s “antics” became a problem quite quickly, and yet rather than act decisively — leave, and tell her he wouldn’t consider returning unless she changed her ways — Hemsworth was evidently content to drift along. In other words, he ceded the initiative to her, giving her the option of making a de facto announcement of their separation by her public make-out session with Kaitlynn Carter. This is not the way to play the game, Liam.

Of course, we cannot expect sound judgment from a man fool enough to marry a slut like that, and having made that first mistake, every subsequent move he’s made has been consistently wrong, proving the truth of the ancient maxim, Quem deus vult perdere, prius dementat.

A man would have to be crazy to get involved with someone like Miley Cyrus, and God forbid any of my sons should ever make such an error. Yet if any of them were so unfortunate, I would hope when it became apparent to them that they’d made a mistake — “Dad always said never trust a bisexual” — they would have the sense to exit with their dignity intact, rather than permit themselves to played for a chump the way that Miley Cyrus has played Liam Hemsworth.

Verizon Sells Tumblr for Undisclosed (But Almost Certainly Rather Small) Price

Posted on | August 13, 2019 | 1 Comment

Somebody just bought the world’s worst web site:

Verizon Communications Inc. agreed to sell the blogging platform Tumblr to Automattic Inc., the latest sign the wireless giant is dismantling its online empire.
Terms of the transaction weren’t material, Verizon said, suggesting Tumblr sold for a tiny fraction of the $1.1 billion it fetched in 2013. Verizon acquired the site as part of its 2017 purchase of Yahoo.
Automattic already owns a group of publishing sites, including WordPress and Longreads, and sees Tumblr as a good fit. The Wall Street Journal previously reported on the sale, saying that Automattic would take on about 200 staffers.
For Verizon, the sale marks a further retrenchment. It has been cutting staff at its online-media division, which was previously called Oath. . . .
Verizon had originally set out to turn a patchwork of dot-com brands into a thriving online-advertising business, but the strategy never caught fire. And the carrier’s new CEO is refocusing on what the company does best: wireless service.
Last year, it wrote down the online business by $4.6 billion. That erased almost half the value of the entity, which is also home to AOL and the Huffington Post.

Five years ago, after I began writing about radical feminism, I quickly became aware of the phenomenon of SJW Tumblrinas — mentally ill young women who use Tumblr to espouse feminism, “social justice” ideology and (almost invariably) some kind of LGBTQ sexuality.

By the way, when I describe Tumbrlinas as “mentally ill,” this is not a casual insult but rather a statement of fact. Over and over, you would encounter self-described “queer” feminists on Tumblr who would state in their profile or on their “about” page that they were afflicted with some kind of psychiatric disorder — depression, anxiety, anorexia, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, etc. — and often a combination of several such mental illnesses. One could be forgiven for thinking that perhaps our nation’s mental-health institutions were now full of inmates busily updating their Tumblr blogs. Why was Tumblr this way? When I asked around, the answer I got was, “It’s too easy.”

That is to say, Tumblr is so “user-friendly” as to require almost no skill or intelligence to produce a blog, because the “reblog” function allows users to just fill up their page with content produced by other users. If you’re a depressed teenage girl who doesn’t know anything about HTML (or spelling or grammar or punctuation), and are too lazy even to use CTRL+C and CTRL+V to cut-and-paste stuff, Tumblr was the ideal platform for you to produce a blog, and the site also has a social-media function, since interaction with like-minded users was intrinsic to the platform’s operation. About two-thirds of Tumblr users were reportedly female, and the demographic skewed very young — the typical Tumblr user was in her teens or early 20s — which was why it was considered a “hot” online property in 2013, when Yahoo paid $1.1 billion for it.

Three years later, however, Yahoo was forced to declare that Tumblr was “effectively worthless” — a net drain on revenue, with no prospect of future profitability — and in 2017, Yahoo was sold to Verizon for less than 1/10th of what Microsoft had offered for Yahoo in 2008. Even then, however, Tumblr had yet to reach its nadir. In November 2018, Tumblr’s app was “removed from Apple’s App Store after child sexual abuse content had been found on the platform during a routine audit.” While hosting a lot of feminist SJW blogs, it turned out, Tumblr had also become a popular venue for pornography, including child pornography. Tumblr reacted by banning all “adult content” from the site, which caused thousands of users to quit the site, and there was even talk of Tumblr being sold to Pornhub to bring back the NSFW content. Now that Verizon has offloaded Tumblr for a price that’s probably just a bit more than nothing, we don’t what the future holds for this notorious online dumpster fire. It will probably get worse, and the 200 staffers at Tumblr would be well advised to start looking for new jobs.

MSNBC Guest: Democrats Must ‘Destroy’ White People Who Voted for Trump

Posted on | August 13, 2019 | Comments Off on MSNBC Guest: Democrats Must ‘Destroy’ White People Who Voted for Trump

Elie Mystal is a Harvard Law alumnus:

“You don’t communicate to them, you beat them. You beat them. They are not a majority of this country — the majority of white people in this country are not a majority of the country. All the people who are not fooled by this need to come together, go to the polls, go to the protests, do whatever you have to do. You do not negotiate with these people, you destroy them.”

This rhetoric — “the majority of white people in this country are not a majority of the country . . . destroy them” — contributes to the kind of paranoid “white genocide” fears that inspire mass murderers. It’s exactly what the El Paso shooter’s “manifesto” was talking about. For a graduate of Harvard Law School to be engaged in this kind of incendiary racial rhetoric on national TV tells you a lot about the agenda Democrats intend to pursue, if they succeed in defeating Trump next year.

Chris Cuomo: ‘I’ll F–king Throw You Down These Stairs Like a F–king Punk’

Posted on | August 13, 2019 | Comments Off on Chris Cuomo: ‘I’ll F–king Throw You Down These Stairs Like a F–king Punk’

Gosh, he’s so sensitive:

In a YouTube video released on Monday by “independent media journalist” with the title “That’s the Point with Brandon,” CNN’s Prime Time host Chris Cuomo can be seen threatening to throw a reported “Trump supporter” down some stairs. The incident appeared to be designed to get a rise out of Cuomo, but the CNN host completely blew up at a minor slight.
All told, Cuomo used the “F-word” roughly 25 times.
Before the video started rolling, the unidentified man apparently called Cuomo by the name “Fredo.” The name was a stinging nickname stemming from the disgraced Fredo Corleone character in The Godfather film. Over the years, it’s been a favorite jab at him from people on the right. . . .
“But if you want to play then we’ll fucking play,” Cuomo angrily spat as things began to spiral. “Yeah, but you’re going to have a big f–king problem.” . . .

MAN 1: I don’t have a problem with you man.
CUOMO: You’re going to have a f–king problem.
MAN 1: What? What are you going to do about it?
CUOMO: I’ll f–ing ruin your s–t. I’ll f–king throw you down these stairs like a f–king punk.
MAN 1: Please do.
CUOMO: Why, so you can f–king sue?
MAN 1: You don’t want to do that. You don’t want to do that.
CUOMO: So you can f–king sue?
MAN 1: But why don’t you do that then?
CUOMO: Then take a f–king swing. You want to call me Fredo then take a f–king swing.

The reason “Fredo” annoys Chris Cuomo so much is that, just as the Mafia exercised corrupt power in The Godfather, the Democrat Party exercises corrupt power in New York and, while his brother Andrew succeeded his father Mario Cuomo as capo di tutti capi of the political racket in New York, Chris’s only consolation is a show on an obscure cable network with lower ratings than Spongebob Squarepants. So he’s very much like Fredo Corleone, sent to Vegas to work with Moe Green while Mike took care of the family’s main business.

A CNN spokesman said: “Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him.” And, yeah, if somebody had deliberately insulted me this way — called me “Jed Clampett,” for example, or made a joke about Deliverance — I might have been angry. But I wouldn’t have used the f-word 25 times, nor would I have done that kind of macho trip, threatening to throw a “f–king punk” down the stairs.

You have to learn to shrug off these things, especially if you’re someone in the public eye. To be involved in controversy — and the news business nowadays is very controversial — means that you have enemies, whether you want it that way or not. There are people who have tried to harm me and my family because of politics and I’ve never done anything more than was necessary to self-defense. No need to threaten people.
