TRUTH ON TRIAL

Today in Montgomery County Circuit Court, I watched convicted bomber Brett Kimberlin get away with lying about me, claiming that I had said and done things I have not done. Before the court was the defendants’ motion for summary judgment in the Maryland case Kimberlin v. Walker, et al. In the end, the judge denied the motion, so that we’re going to trial Monday.

This is madness, and the details will be discussed later. But long story short, I’ll spend the next four days preparing for trial. Your prayers are earnestly requested, and please remember the Five Most Important Words in the English Language:

‘They Found a Rape Kit in His Car’

“The restraining order was granted for a period of three years, this was August 2011. . . . He found me at Dartmouth, at my sorority, he found me at my family’s new home that they moved to. He found me through LinkedIn, Facebook, everything. I tried to delete things, he still found me. He hired a private investigator. . . . I got back to my parents’ house at 1:30 a.m. flying in from Dartmouth and at 8:30 a.m. the next morning he was knocking on my front door. . . When he was arrested by the police, they found what they like to call a rape kit in the back of his car. It consisted of a sweatshirt, firewood, maps of the area, duct tape, a rope tied into a slip noose, hunting knives and various other items.”

Liberal feminists don’t give a damn about the rights of women like Dartmouth student Taylor Woolrich. Liberals want to deprive her of the only real security for women like her whose lives and safety are jeopardized by violent criminals. You see, Taylor Woolrich told her story yesterday at the annual conference of Students for Concealed Carry, and liberal feminists hate the Second Amendment.

Pageant Judge Was Lesbian Predator; Sexually Assaulted Pre-Teen Girl

Lesbian pedophile Charlotte Holl, 25, was convicted of “grooming” and “sexually assaulting” a girl under the age of 13. The British news accounts of her sentencing hearing are strangely vague:

A female beauty pageant judge groomed and sexually assaulted a young girl, plying her with cigarettes and alcohol.
Charlotte Holl, 25, sent 1,200 texts and social media messages to her victim — who is under 13-years-old — and dreamed of living with her in Florida, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
Holl, of Newmarket, Suffolk, touched the girl’s inner leg over her clothes, kissed her and put her arm around her waist.
But Holl has been spared jail — and was given an 18-month jail sentence suspended for two years after she admitted four sexual assaults on a girl and being an adult who met a girl following grooming.

This is obviously confusing: Was the touching and kissing the “four sexual assaults”? Also, how many beauty pageants did she judge? But don’t worry, she promises it won’t happen again:

Duncan O’Donnell, defending, said she had been ‘vulnerable and immature’.
He said smitten Holl was ‘ashamed’ of her actions.
Mr O’Donnell told Ipswich Crown Court: ‘Throughout these proceedings she has indicated she has been horrified by what she did.
‘She acknowledged in (police) interview what she did.
‘These are offences that are never going to happen again.
He added: ‘She has pleaded guilty and indicated her full horror over what she has done.
‘While the custody threshold has been passed in the circumstances of this offending behaviour it is a custodial sentence that falls within the bracket that could be suspended.’

Hey, suspended sentence! All she did was “groom” a pre-teen girl and plan to take her pubescent lesbian crush to Florida:

[Judge Rupert Overbury] told her: ‘It’s plain to me, as it was to the probation service, you certainly did have the intention of going further than kissing.’
Judge Overbury said Holl had carried out the attacks for her own ‘sexual satisfaction’.
Messages between the two indicated Holl was thinking of living with the girl and taking her to Florida, the court heard.

Oh, these silly judges! When will society listen to feminists and stop “forcing heteronormative assumptions” on young girls?

Hey, Moms: Feminists Think They Know What’s Wrong With Your Children

Dana Sitar is a 28-year-old writer who works as a barista in a bookstore coffee shop to pay her bills. Divorced and childless, she is perhaps not the role model of happiness and success to whom America’s mothers usually turn when they need parenting advice, but being a feminist entitles her to tell you what you’re doing wrong. Quite frankly, she’s decided that your parenting is too heteronormative:

. . . In a world where we’re finally making some progress on understanding non-straight identities as deserving of recognition, respect, and equal rights, forcing heteronormative assumptions on yet another generation is a huge step away from an inclusive and tolerant society. . . .
If we keep talking to that little girl for the next 10 years as if it’s her destiny to fall in love with a man (put a pin in the implied sexism and other layers of bigotry for another conversation), how will she react to herself and others if she finds herself attracted to the girls around her, not the boys? Or to both? . . .
How will she treat herself when she realizes she wants to kiss the girl down the street, not the boy next door? . . .
Not being a bigot is a huge first step, and I thank you for it.
But it’s not enough to quietly believe in equality. We have to actively practice tolerance and become aware of the presumptions we project. We have to let our kids see a world where their identities are all treated as normal and acceptable, regardless of the odds.

Perhaps you didn’t notice that she used the phrase “our kids,” although Dana Sitar has no children herself, so that her use of the first-person plural implies that this feminist coffee-shop waitress is asserting her proprietary interest in your kids. Yes, mothers of America: Your expectation that your daughter will grow up to be normal — even in 2014, about 98% of U.S. women are heterosexual — is a sort of prejudice, just one step removed from “being a bigot.”

Feminists condemn you for “forcing heteronormative assumptions” on your girls, thus impeding “progress” toward “an inclusive and tolerant society.” You’re a homophobic hater, mom. Your little lesbian toddler is already being oppressed — by you! (You’re probably showing her heteronormative Disney cartoons, aren’t you?)

How is America supposed to make progress toward an inclusive and tolerant society, if mothers keep brainwashing little girls into thinking it’s quote-unquote “normal” for them to like boys? If we are ever going to achieve the kind of equality feminist theory demands, mothers must put an end to this intolerant oppressive heteronormativity. Only then can your daughters be free to grow up as completely confused as Rollins College sophomore Bekki Charbonneau:

I am a queer woman. I flip-flop between identities. I have been “straight,” then “bisexual,” then “pansexual,” then a weeping puddle in the middle of the floor (which has occurred frequently enough to be considered an identity, in my opinion).
I often feel “not gay enough” to hang out in queer spaces; I feel like an intruder or a wannabe. I have had friends “jokingly” tell me that I should just “pick a side already.” And sometimes I actually contemplate it: I would just be happier being straight, and I wouldn’t have to deal with homophobia as frequently! Besides, some men are hot. I could deal with being straight.
But then I see a really pretty girl, so I think, “I’ll just be a lesbian. Many men don’t bother learning about social justice because of their privilege, and I don’t want to date someone I have to educate. It’s too much work. And some girls are just lovely.” . . .
I often get concerned about how many of the qualities I’m attracted to in a person are a result of growing up in a heteronormative, patriarchal society. I am often attracted to masculinity (either in cisgender men or in male-identifying persons, and occasionally in women with masculine characteristics). Am I attracted to masculinity simply because I have been raised in a society that places on a pedestal and reveres all things male?

Feminists must celebrate Bekki Charbonneau’s self-described “queer” sexuality, ignoring concerns about the schizophrenic tendencies manifest in such confusion. The difference between feminism and insanity is simply a matter of perspective.

Brett Kimberlin Gets Spanked

Another day, another denial — actually Brett Kimberlin had two motions denied today by U.S. District Court Judge George Hazel in the federal lawsuit that John Hoge has dubbed Kimberlin v. the Universe, et al.

Hoge has the latest letter order, in which the judge denies (a) Kimberlin’s request for additional time to file a motion for a preliminary injunction, and (b) Kimberlin’s request for a ruling on his previous attempt to disqualify Paul Alan Levy, who is the lawyer defending Ace of Spades’ anonymity. Both of these denials were delivered with decisive brutality — the judge saying in effect, “Stop bothering me with your badly argued and legally flawed nonsense, you creep” — but Kimberlin got taught an especially embarrassing lesson on the Levy matter:

Finally, Plaintiff has sent a letter to the Court (see ECF No. 174) urging the Court “to rule on [a] Motion to Disqualify [Counsel]” (see ECF No. 174) that Plaintiff previously filed on February 26, 2014. See ECF No. 93. That motion, however, is no longer pending on the Court’s docket. In fact, that motion has not been on the Court’s docket since March 4, 2014, when the Clerk of Court terminated it due to Plaintiff’s failure to comply with the Court’s February 21, 2014 Letter Order. See ECF No. 96. Obviously, the Court cannot rule on a motion that is not currently pending on its docket. If Plaintiff wishes to file a Motion to Disqualify Counsel, he must file a Request pursuant to and in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Case Management Order. See ECF No. 97

Here’s the thing: Kimberlin seems to have been so overcome by wrath toward Paul Alan Levy — and gosh, I wonder why — that Brett completely forgot that his original attempt to have Levy removed from the case had never even been accepted by the court, because Kimberlin had failed to comply with a previous order by the court.

Aaron Walker, who has endured more of Kimberlin’s abusive lawfare than anyone, explains the larger significance of all this:

As you might remember, when Paul Levy entered the case Brett when into full whine mode and filed an improper motion to have Levy disqualified.  This was just after the court first decided to attempt to restrict the flow of filings in this case (more than 80 documents ago), and rather than obey the court’s order and request leave to file a motion to disqualify, he just filed it, and the judge returned it to him as improper.
But that is not what this is really about.  What this is really about, in my humble opinion, is that Paul Levy wrote a fairly devastating blog post last week about the case. Really, seriously, read all of it. Not only was that pretty harmful to Brett’s public reputation (based on facts that cannot be denied), but it was pretty widely read.  For instance, it was Instalanched. And it was WashingtonPostalanched, via the Volokh Conspiracy.  Long time readers know that Mr. Volokh helped me out last year when Brett obtained a blatantly unconstitutional peace order forbidding me to even mention Brett Kimberlin’s name for six months.

You can read the whole thing. Aaron also discusses the “scattered” thinking behind Brett’s motion in regard to Ace’s anonymity, from which I’ll quote this little sample paragraph:

Contrary to counsel’s argument, Ace of Spades engaged in wholesale and per se defamation against Plaintiff, not once, but multiple times. . . . For example, he falsely stated, imputed and published in five articles that Plaintiff committed the crime of “swattings,” that he was involved with “terrorism” and “murder,” that he was trying to “kill” people,” that he is a “thug” and “nefarious,” that he is running “scams,” that he is engaged in “lawless vigilantism,” the he is involved with “ongoing crimes,” that he is engaged in “alarming harassments,” that he is a “menace,” that he is a “one-man crime wave,” the he is “escalating” his criminal activities, that he is engaged in a “crime in progress,” that he is “abusing and corrupting” the justice system, that his life is one of “escalat[ing] risk taking,” that he is “a dangerous man,” that he is engaged in “digital” and “real life terrorism,” that he is a malicious threat to society,” and that he is engaged in “lawfare.” Not only did Ace of Spades make these defamatory statements and publications, he demanded action by others, including Congress, to stop Plaintiff through various actions including passing a bill of attainder. His publications were a call to arms against Plaintiff based on defamatory hysteria — either stop Plaintiff or terrible things will happen. Ace of Spades was using his defamatory statements to destroy Plaintiff by any means.

To which Ace’s lawyer should reply: “You mad, bro?”

Why did Brett Kimberlin insist on making that Twitter message a part of the public record in his $1 million lawsuit? I don’t know.

Just reporting the facts here, folks.

Maybe you think Brett Kimberlin is a nefarious thug and a malicious threat to society, and nobody is preventing you from researching Kimberlin’s criminal career and judging for yourself. Whatever you do, don’t include a Pedobear cartoon of Kimberlin in a Twitter message, or the (alleged) “one-man crime wave” might sue you for a million dollars.

Consider yourself warned.

Kathy Groob is a Democrat Party stategist in Kentucky, where Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell is fighting for re-election against Democrat Alison Grimes. Saturday, in a complete non sequitur, Groob sent out a series of Twitter messages saying that McConnell’s wife, former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao, “isn’t from KY, she is Asian.”

Groob’s tweets quickly disappeared — indeed, she deleted her entire Twitter account — but not before Phillip Bailey, political editor for Louisville public radio station WFPL screen-capped the “Asian” messages. Democrats rushed to condemn the messages, but this certainly isn’t the first time Chao’s ethnicity has made her the target of Democrat race-card tricks in this campaign. They were doing this stuff last year, back when it was still rumored that movie star Ashley Judd was going to seek the Democrat nomination against McConnell.

Question: How is this different from “birther” attacks on Obama?

How is it that Democrats get a free pass for doing this kind of stuff to Republicans, yet object vehemently to anyone who dares mention that the president’s father was a Kenyan socialist? If “the personal is political” — as feminists have been insisting for more than four decades — why is it these kind of identity-politics arguments are only acceptable if they help elect Democrats and advance a left-wing agenda? Far be it from me to argue that one’s personal experience, including perceptions about ethnicity, are always irrelevant to politics. Dinesh D’Souza (who, last time I checked, wasn’t from Kentucky, either) was roundly vilified for arguing that Obama’s worldview was profoundly influenced by his father’s anti-British/anti-colonialist/anti-capitalist attitudes.

D’Souza’s argument was less “racist” than the arguments of liberals who routinely claim that anyone who opposes Obama is a racist. And certainly, D’Souza’s own worldview has been shaped by his personal experience. In order to be a conservative Indian-American, after all, one must reject the kind of anti-Western attitudes — the residual resentments of colonialism — which D’Souza saw in the attitudes of Obama and Obama’s father. And I would argue that, whatever one’s ethnicity, for any “outsider” or underdog to succeed in America, it is necessary to resist the temptation to resent successful people. If you don’t want to be a loser, you must learn to emulate winners, not envy them.

Whatever your disadvantages in life, or whatever unfair privileges others may enjoy, determination, hard work and an honest character can overcome any obstacle anyone puts in your way. Resolve yourself to work hard despite every discouragement and to learn the lessons of every failure. Study the examples of others who have triumphed over adversity. Make a vow that, whether you ultimately win or lose, no one will ever be able to say that you failed because you didn’t work hard enough. Develop the kind of mental toughness that enables you to survive amid crisis and confusion. Constantly improve your skills, learning whatever you need to know to become better at whatever it is you do. Be flexible and quick to adapt to new circumstances. Learn to recognize opportunity. Become resourceful, so that no problem you encounter leaves you helpless. Most of all, remember that your struggle has a purpose that transcends your narrow selfish desires.

If God has chosen you to do great things, your success will be to His glory. God’s chastisement of your weakness and lack of faith — for this is what your failures really are — should be welcomed with gratitude, for by such chastisement is your faith tested, so that you become more humble, recognizing your debt to God’s grace, even as you grow stronger with each failure. God has some reason for all your toils and setbacks. God is testing you and teaching you, so that you will be ready to fulfill whatever purpose He has for your life. Therefore, thank God for your struggle, and determine to work harder every day to be prepared for whatever He may choose for your task.

This is my belief, and as D’Souza is a Christian, I presume that it is his belief also. Faith in God and a belief in the value of hard work were both crucial to the founding of this nation. We fight to defend our liberty and to defend our faith, and if it should be necessary, we will fight to defend America against any enemy, because we know that America truly represents the last hope for humanity. As Ronald Reagan once said, people come to America in search of freedom, but where will we go if we lose freedom here?

Elaine Chao is not exactly my favorite Republican. She’s not the kind of ferocious, two-fisted, red-meat, right-wing populist who gets me fired up. She’s a Chamber of Commerce type who speaks generally for the interests of big business. Nor is her husband a politician I admire; to be honest, I’m not even sure I would vote for McConnell if I lived in Kentucky. Nevertheless, insofar as Elaine Chao’s ethnicity is of any relevance to this election in Kentucky, it is as an example of how the American Dream is still very much alive. She arrived in America in 1961 as an 8-year-old who didn’t speak English, yet through hard work she got a Harvard MBA, became the Secretary of Labor and married a man who has become the most powerful Republican in Washington.

It is this kind of success story that should make every parent scream at their children: “Turn off that TV! Put down that videogame console! Pick up a book and start studying, you lazy brats! This is America! If Elaine Chao can make it, you’ve got no excuse!”

Such is the true lesson of Elaine Chao’s life, but Democrats . . . well, they’re Democrats, and if appeals to racism or sexism will help elect Democrats, this is what we expect from them. Last summer, when Alison Grimes announced her Democrat candidacy, Kathy Groob gushed all gooey what a wonderful thing it was for women:

“Alison’s announcement (Monday) is an important step for women in politics in Kentucky and across the country,” said Groob, who attended the press conference in Frankfort. “When a 34-year-old accomplished woman is ready to take on one of the most powerful political men in the country, it’s a great day for women.”

Yeah, “a great day for women.” The feminist message in Kentucky:

“Vote Democrat, because you have a vagina!
And that Republican guy is married to a Chink.”

You stay classy, Kentucky Democrats.
