I enjoyed Bill Whittle’s speech immensely. Just a great outing in terms of rhetoric and editing.

On the other hand, with one camera angle and a live audience that includes #OcccupyResoluteDesk, Benjamin Carson delivers a truly inspirational outing:

Of particular interest is the body language from #OcccupyResoluteDesk. He is NOT laughing at the jokes, which are good, and does offer one of his patented near-gesture eye scratches at one point. He does NOT applaud when the rest of the audience does, offering the merest hint of a golf clap at the tail end of the speech.

As you hear Dr. Carson relate his biographical details, you get the impression that he is everything #OccupyResoluteDesk would be, were BHO not an abject fraud. Look at Obama alternate between an Olympian pose and a scowl through the speech. Truly, that body language offers a hilarious subtext to a speech that is already a fine bit of work.

Thank you Dr. Carson. May the Almighty bless you and your efforts. The question is why the good Doctor has not been dragged onto a ballot yet.

Anyone happening to glance towards the heavens in a week’s time and glimpses a 50-metre-long lump of rock hurtling ominously through the skies need not panic.
Although it will pass closer to us than any asteroid has for the past 15 years — closer even than the TV satellites that girdle the planet — Nasa insists that 2012 DA14 will miss Earth by a good 17,100 miles (27,520km).
“No Earth impact is possible,” said Donald Yeomans, an astronomer with the US space agency.

In other words: PANIC! It’s going to destroy us all!

Amazon has launched a new video ad for the Kindle HD 8.9, and it’s not beating around the bush this time. The ad is a direct comparison with Apple’s iPad, claiming the two devices’ screens are virtually identical, while the price for the Kindle is much lower.
“This is the iPad with Retina display,” says the text of the ad. “And this is the new Kindle Fire HD with an 8.9-inch display … You may not be able to tell the difference. But your wallet definitely can,” the ad concludes.
The difference in price is, indeed, substantial. The Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ starts at $299, while the iPad starts at $499.

Doctor Death: 29-Year-Old Patient Dies After Late-Term Abortion in Maryland UPDATE: Complete Media Blackout by Feminists, Major News Organizations

Dr. LeRoy Carhart is one of America’s most notorious abortionists. He specializes in late-term abortion and, unless you actually know what’s involved in it, you cannot possibly imagine what a gruesome atrocity the bland phrase “late-term abortion” describes. Now, according to a report by Operation Rescue, a 29-year-old woman has died after Carhart performed such an atrocity at a Maryland clinic:

A 29-year old woman died [Thursday] as the result of fatal complications suffered during an abortion at 33 weeks that was done by LeRoy Carhart at Germantown Reproductive Health Center in Germantown, Maryland. . . .
The woman, who came for a third trimester abortion from out-of-state, arrived at GRHC on Sunday and was seen by pro-life activists every day through Wednesday. Witnesses said she appeared “pale and weak.”
Early Thursday morning, the woman began suffering chest pain and other discomforts. Her attempts to reach Carhart were unsuccessful. The woman was taken by her family from her hotel to a nearby hospital emergency room at approximately 5:00 a.m. Efforts by hospital staff to contact Carhart or get informational assistance from the abortion clinic were unsuccessful.
The patient suffered massive internal bleeding into her abdominal cavity. She slipped into a Code Blue condition approximately six times before finally succumbing to her injuries at around 9:30 a.m. The case has been placed with the Medical Examiner for further investigation.

The “pro-life activists” who saw the woman at the Germantown clinic were pro-life protesters and “sidewalk counselors.” You may not realize it, but every abortion clinic in America is picketed every day by pro-life volunteers who attempt to dissuade women from terminating their pregnancies. I’ve met these clinic protesters and, contrary to media propaganda, they are not dangerous hate-filled fanatics. They are actually some of the kindest people you’d ever want to meet, as contrasted to the manifest evil of people like the butcher Dr. LeRoy Carhart:

“The avoidable death of this young woman dramatically illustrates the dangers of third trimester abortions that are done outside of the safety of obstetrical standards,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue and Pro-life Nation.
Newman told LifeNews, “In 2005, Carhart was also involved in the death of Christin Gilbert, who died after a third trimester abortion in Wichita, Kansas. It is time for medical boards to put an end to these horrifically dangerous and barbaric third trimester abortions. If they do not, we can only expect Carhart and his associates to send more women to the morgue.” . . .
“It is so tragic that this family had to lose not only their nearly full-term child, but also their wife, daughter, and sister,” said Michael Martelli, Executive Director of the Maryland Coalition for Life. “What is most appalling is that the State of Maryland refused to hear the pleas of this community, and has allowed this man to continue to butcher women and children.”
On the very same day that this woman died, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene posted on their website that they issued a license to Carhart’s clinic to perform abortions — without a single inspection of the facility, Martelli said.
“He already killed Christin Gilbert in Kansas in 2005, and now another senseless tragedy has come as a result of Carhart’s so-called women’s healthcare and the apathy of the pro-abortion Maryland State Government,” said Martelli.

How do the “pro-choice” people who enable monsters like Carhart justify these atrocities in the name of “women’s rights”?

And how do they sleep at night?

Carhart is one of the few doctors in the U.S. to openly perform late-term abortions. Though he lives in Nebraska, he has maintained an office in Germantown — Maryland’s abortion laws are less restrictive, he said — ever since Nebraska outlawed most abortions performed after the 20th week of gestation. . . .
[H]e sees himself continuing the work of his mentor Dr. George Tiller, a Kansas doctor who was fatally shot in 2009 . . .
“It seemed that there was no one coming forth to do the later abortions and that’s what Dr. Tiller said to me — somebody needs to do this.”

Michael Martelli of the Maryland Coalition for Life points out that the abortionist Carhart “was hailed as a ‘hero’ in the film ‘After Tiller’ at the recent Sundance Film Festival.” And now this liberal “hero” has sent a 29-year-old woman to a Maryland morgue.

UPDATE: What do reporters do for a living? Well, among other things, they attend press conferences and read press releases. The press release from the Maryland Coalition for Life included a contact number, so I called it and wrote a brief item for The American Spectator:

Neither the Washington Post nor the Baltimore Sun has yet reported on this woman’s death in Maryland, despite the fact that there was an 11 a.m. press conference today in front of the Germantown clinic. The story is also being ignored by the Associated Press, USA Today, the New York Times, and television news networks. As of 1:30 p.m. Friday, the largest organizations reporting the story were WorldNetDaily and LifeNews.com.
The local Montgomery Gazette was the only newspaper to send a reporter to the press conference, Martelli told me in a brief telephone interview this afternoon. Martelli said he had been contacted about the story by only a “few” reporters, “mostly from pro-life or Christian organizations.” The Maryland Coalition for Life has announced that it will hold a prayer vigil, memorial, and follow-up press conference at 9 a.m. Monday near the Germantown clinic where Carhart performed the botched abortion.

So here you have reporters who can’t be bothered to report an important news story. What can you do to break through this wall of silence?

It’s difficult to embarrass liberals, who have no conscience, no integrity, no decency, nor any sense of shame.

Crazed Ex-Cop Kills 3 People After Quoting Mia Farrow in Bizarre Manifesto

ABC News reports:

The rage-filled “manifesto” written by former police officer Christopher Dorner before he went on an alleged cop killing spree around the Los Angeles area was dismissed by the head of the Los Angeles Police Department today as “self-serving” and “ramblings on the Internet.”
Dorner is believed to have killed one police officer and injured two others early this morning, in addition to killing two civilians, on a spree that he threatened would have a “high action of violence” in an angry missive posted to his Facebook wall earlier this week.
Police throughout the Los Angeles and Southern California region were working to apprehend Dorner.
In the letter, Dorner detailed his grievances with his former employer, the Los Angeles Police Department, including his struggles with the department’s internal affairs department, which ultimately ended in his getting fired, according to the manifesto. He blamed the problems with the LAPD for inspiring his killing spree.

The major media have tried to suppress the ugly truth about Chris Dorner’s motives and ideology by publishing a truncated version of his Facebook “manifesto” that omits the evidence that this mass murderer is, in fact, a liberal Democrat. Sooper Mexican got hold of the entire manifesto that makes the truth obvious enough:

“Mia Farrow said it best” — yeah, that’s the kind of sentence that practically screams “diminished mental capacity.”

“Sen. Feinstein, you are doing the right thing” — another telltale clue that we are dealing with a deranged mind.

Forensic psychologists can add these traits — “admiring the eloquence of Mia Farrow” and “support for Dianne Feinstein” — to the list of characteristics of dangerous criminal psychopaths.

Yesterday, police found Chris Dorner’s truck abandoned near Big Bear Lake in San Bernardino County and authorities now believe this mass murderer “is somewhere in the mountains nearby.” And here’s a headline from Twitchy:

It’s Humpty-Dumpty logic: “When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.”

What do we mean when we say that someone is “politicizing” an event like this? Well, when an enthusiastic gun-control supporter (like Chris Dorner) goes on a killing rampage, his fellow gun-control supporters (like Piers Morgan) will accuse you of “politicizing” the tragedy if you suggest that this might tend to discredit their cause. But it was not “politicizing” when Piers Morgan seized upon the Sandy Hook shootings as conclusive proof of the rightness of his cause.

It’s like “racism,” an accusation no one ever makes against their political friends and allies, but only against the opposition. By constant abuse of the word, liberals have stripped the word of any meaning, so that it becomes “RAAAAACISM“ (with 5 A’s), a synonym for “shut up.”

If conservatives were as reckless as liberals in their use of language, the headline of this post would be, “Send the Bodies to Mia Farrow.”
