Bloviating Blame Manager Lashes Out At This Blog

New depths of decay have been reached in the sad decomposition of what was once a decent blog. No, I’m being too generous–it was always a sad pot of rot, the Trog Blog.

Now, in a feat of mental gymnastics worthy of #OccupyResoluteDesk’s famous projection of all failure on George W. Bush, Troglopundit seeks to juxtapose Danica Patrick’s recent crash with our reporting of her recent verbal crack-up at the Daily Caller. For those whose memory is as effective as Trog’s rhetoric, Danica Looks like this:Her vehicle, after the crash: not so much.

Can anything be done to salvage Troglopundit’s rotten, decomposed reputation after this outburst? I fear that, like Danica’s race car, we’re just going to have to scrap Troggy. As with this administration, there just doesn’t seem to be any argument in favor of throwing good time after bad.

Oh Trog, we hardly knew ye, but what little we did seemed an unfortunate waste.

Specter is no spectator on Santorum’s claims at the AZ debate:

“I said will you support the president’s nominees? We had a 51-to-49 majority in the Senate. He said, ‘I’ll support the president’s nominees as chairman,'” Santorum said.
But Specter said on The Michael Smerconish Program on Thursday morning that that wasn’t the case.
“He is not correct. I made no commitment to him about supporting judges,” Specter said. “I made no deal.”
Specter also scoffed at the notion that Santorum’s backing helped him turn aside the primary challenge from then-Rep. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.). (Toomey again ran for and this time won Specter’s seat in 2010, when Specter switched parties but lost the Democratic nomination.)

Twice under the Pennsylvania Dutch bus; once for the judicial endorsements, and once for Toomey? That calls for a song:

Meanwhile, Richard McEnroe points out that Rick Santorum is rockin’ the buggies in Pennsylvania from his vantage under the double Dutch bus:

Mr. Santorum gaining steam in Pennsylvania and now leading former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney 45%-16%. The other two candidates are in single digits: Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich comes it a 9% and Ron Paul at 7%.

That goes a long way to walking back Santorum’s 2006 under-bus excursion, when he got punted out of the Senate.

This is a relief, as I’ve become somewhat stressed out trying to figure out which Ruling Class tool will continue the irresistible, cancerous onslaught of government growth going down the road.

President Obama declared Monday that his presidency “is not over” and that he’ll be occupying the White House for another five years.
In an interview with Univision, a seemingly confident Obama said he’ll have more time to work on hot-button issues like immigration in his next term.
“Well, first of all … my presidency is not over,” Obama, who just a few months ago described himself as an underdog in the presidential race, said in a telephone interview.
“I’ve got another five years coming up. We’re going to get this done,” he said.

In a way, David Gergen was quite understandable on CNN’s post-debate talking head show last night. Gergen made the Progressive observation that the candidates were being pulled rightward to appeal to the base, and that all that happy conservative noise would go away once the next President is sworn in.

Which is why the candidate is almost unimportant. What matters is the will and engagement of the people. The Ruling Class overlords, like Parliament of the mid-1700s, isn’t taking us too seriously. They seem to think that, faced with the pain of coming down off of our debt buzz, we’ll beg for the velvet handcuffs of the government.

Our task, then, is to disprove these idiots. Commencing with kicking #OccupyResoluteDesk to the curb.

Shapiro’s transcript needs a little editing. Romney does not drop the F-bomb. Romney says ‘current share’, not ‘fair share’.

Is Romney making a dive for the middle prior to the election, a la #OccupyResoluteDesk? Absolutely. Can we expect a hard left rudder from Romney after a victory, like we know BHO will do? Who. Flipping. Knows?

And that is precisely the problem with Mitt: under the polished veneer, there is absolutely no certainty he’ll do anything other than business as usual in DC. This is a time for a reformer to come inside the Beltway with pliers and a blowtorch and start load-shedding the cruft that’s built up since FDR started the Frack Da Republic program, a.k.a, the New Deal.

Paraphrasing the Sage:

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole electorate, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Barack’s answer seem to be much bitchiness. Can’t hazard a guess for Mitt. But I would gain strange new respect if Mitt’s ideas of reform included sparing individuals from getting poked by the federal government. The Income Tax is an evil zombie abortion of an idea, and it would be more conservative if we talked about gradually ridding ourselves of it, and for the reasons on display in this clip: it breeds nothing but class warfare and envy.

New TV Ad Quotes Mitt Romney

This will probably be denounced as an “unfair attack,” given that Romney’s entire campaign has been about avoiding his own record:

In a press release, Rick Santorum campaign spokesman Hogan Gidley said: “Since Mitt Romney refuses to talk about his own liberal record, we figured we’d show people what Mitt Romney says about Mitt Romney. We wanted to give Governor Romney’s long-held positions and statements an opportunity to be heard.”

Notice that when I quote a press release, I tell you I’m quoting a press release? That’s arguably more honest than booking Chris Christie onto Fox & Friends to spin for Romney the day after a debate and pretending that it was just a coincidence.

It would behoove those who talk about liberal media bias, and who boast of being “Fair and Balanced,” occasionally to acknowledge their own biases. If Fox News executives want to change the name of their morning show to Romney & Friends, OK. But don’t pretend that your biased coverage isn’t biased.

And don’t imagine we’re too stupid to notice what you’re doing.

No word on whether Troglopundit’s admiration for Danica Patrick can survive this development:

NASCAR driver Danica Patrick isn’t particularly concerned about the Obama administration’s dictate that religious employers provide health care plans that cover contraceptives.
“I leave it up to the government to make good decisions for Americans,” Patrick, a Roman Catholic, told The Daily Caller Tuesday when asked about the controversy.

No, Danica, the government is not as smart as the automotive engineers who designed your engine. Misplaced faith is such a shame.

Danica’s response has spurred literally oodles of derisive comments at the Daily Caller and at least one example of blatant anti-troglodyte guilt-by-association.
Does no one else find it odd that the Daily Caller – purportedly a serious conservative organization – is so very interested in Danica Patrick’s opinion on contraceptive mandates?

Why, no: no, I did not. In an example of pre-mature blovulation, you correctly pointed out the over-riding ‘anti-troglodyte guilt-by-association’ motive driving the post in a rather large oval, lap after lap.

Who cares why the Daily Caller asked her, if it affords opportunity to heap abuse about your head and shoulders?
