The Protocols of the Elders of CTHULHU XXIII. Wrenching Change

by Smitty (INTRODUCTION)

The speaker’s points unfolded, and the audience began to panic. In a resigned, fearful, anti-climactic sort of way. There were no actual breaks in the delivery. Eventually, more than one odor began to waft. Yet the audience stared forward.

An older woman to my left cried out, clutched at her heart, and slumped. Evidence of puddling beneath her chair indicated that she’d enjoyed a shockingly traditional trip to the void.
She had been an entertainment, fashion and publishing magnate, but I wouldn’t have ever suspected her of having enough pull to have been invited to this. I knew my own banking background, a cheap pack of lies in the light of this horrid days’ revelations, probably made me more important than her.
More important. Hahahahahaha. How those rating scales had been quickly rendered meaningless. Speaking of meaning, what of the thumps and screams growing louder and more frequent?

“That the peoples may become accustomed to obedience it is necessary to inculcate lessons in humility and therefore to reduce the production of articles of luxury.
By this we shall improve morals which have been debased by emulation in the sphere of luxury. We shall re-establish small master production which will mean laying a mine under the private capital of manufacturers.
This is indispensable also for the reason that manufacturers on the grand scale often move, though not always consciously, the thought of the masses in directions against the government.
A people of small masters knows nothing of unemployment and this binds him closely with existing order, and consequently with the firmness of authority.
Unemployment is a most perilous thing for a government.

Re-establishing patronage and master craftsmen for access to practical training is yet another success story for us on the economic front.
Our excessive crusades in the areas of environmentalism and trade, and against sane energy policy have been quite effective in producing a crop of economically illiterate swine who will welcome the Second Dark Age they engender with satisfaction.
They crave government dependency.”

Ann Coulter At CPAC

by Smitty

Ann Coulter’s stand up was slightly less polished than her usual primo snark.
And, as with previous Coulter appearances I’ve seen, the Q&A is better than the prepared remarks, because the lady is just so smart.
Q: Who do you like in 2012?
A:

We can’t tell them.
Let them know a month before the election.
The media wants to know who it is so that they can ferociously fixate on them.

Q: Have you ever dated a Liberal?
A:

The weren’t Liberal for long.

The Protocols of the Elders of CTHULHU XXII. Full Circle

by Smitty (INTRODUCTION)

“Down the hill, attendees at the World Economic Forum in Davos think they are the movers and the shakers. You have moved above them. Some appear to shake. I begin.”

Of the remaining nine lives beside the speaker, there was no fight left. Perhaps this meeting had had the effect of doing to the audience what Progressivism has done to society since, in the late 1800s, the undying evil cult that hates human freedom and self-governance had concocted the Progressive project to roll back all of the good done in the American Revolution.
The business of crushing the human spirit had been so much easier under absolute monarchy. Deriving a ruse like Progress, and perverting the intellectuals with the Utopian opiate of Marxism had proven a sickeningly easy vehicle for destroying Western culture.
The remaining members of the audience looked at the severed trophy decorating the table and knew that it referred to, accused, and ultimately hated them all. Distant muffled screams were audible. The speaker was moving toward a conclusion.

“Some of you look concerned. The means, as with sausage production, are indeed messy. You want a clean Newtonian view of society, and I have shocked you with the existential tragedy of quantum realpolitik.
The more idealistic among you, casting back your minds, may have misgivings about certain events. Shake it off.
We move past all of the aforementioned heat and strain required to smelt the metal of society.

We shall contrive to prove that we are benefactors who have restored to the rent and mangled Earth the true good and also freedom of the person, and therewith we shall enable it to be enjoyed in peace and quiet, with proper dignity of relations, on the condition, of course, of strict observance of all the laws established by us.
We shall make plain therewith that freedom does not consist in dissipation and in the right of unbridled license any more than the dignity and force of a man do not consist in the right for everyone to promulgate destructive principles in the nature of freedom of conscience, equality and the like,
that freedom of the person in no wise consists in the right to agitate oneself and others by abominable speeches before disorderly mobs,
and that true freedom consists in the inviolability of the person who honorably and strictly observes all the laws of life in common…

CPAC Day 3.1* Andrew Breitbart Is Standing in Front of Me in the Blogger Lounge

Q&A — “despicable human being“?

*Update (Smitty)
Stacy McCain: Jason Mattera, a Puerto Rican was called racist by the New York Times after his CPAC talk yesterday.
Breitbart: Despicable but predictable. The political left is frightened because the right has been awakened.
The left’s only tactic is to destroy people personally.
They play the race card because it is all they have.
I feared being called racist, being booed by an audience.
Mattera is going to find out that the left’s political correctness gruel gets thinner every time it is served.

More to come . .

CPAC Day 3.0: Da Tech Guy Appears to Have Gone Gonzo

When I walked into Bloggers Lounge here at the fabulous Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, Da Tech Guy greeted me: “I stayed here all night. I’ve got 21 posts scheduled. Smitty’s bringing me a change of clothes.”

He has been doing video interviews of CPAC attendees — famous and otherwise — and uploading them at his site. Just keep refreshing Pete’s page today.

There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether CPAC binge . . .

The Protocols of the Elders of CTHULHU XXI. Loans

by Smitty (INTRODUCTION)

“Welcome, elite. The top six of the Human Union and the Committee To Harmonize Universal Law, today, form a new organization: CTHULHU,” he voiced each letter.

The nine survivors in the audience silently wondered who would go next, and how much longer the presentation could go on.
Various aromas from bodily functions began to mix with the smells of fear and death. The twelve original participants were now ten.
The other nine realized that their lives were as bankrupt as the world economy. There was no fight left in them.
There wasn’t much fight left in me, either, but I continue to make these notes with a sort of mad determination to ensure that someone else can read this and perhaps feel a glimmer of despair, too.

“Among the simplest expressions of the difference between ‘us’ and ‘them’ is the time frame in which we live.
Our targets, admittedly with our overwhelming, omnivorous, all-encompassing support, live in the present tense. If we can drive them to live at a frequency higher than paycheck-to-paycheck, we do. Progress in spraying credit wantonly about like a dog’s seed. Those working education have produced a particularly incompetent crop of ignoramuses. Bravo.
The proletariat, in a move claiming to aid the family, while producing additional demolition thereof, can now get sucked into mortgages effectively spanning generations. Those working the economics piece are to be commended for helping people pass on the chains.
In stark contrast to the external conditions,

…nowadays all internal loans are consolidated by so-called flying loans, that is, such as have terms of payment more or less near.

For the smarter member of the mob,

We shall replace the money markets by grandiose government credit institutions, the object of which will be to fix the price of industrial values in accordance with government views.

Government regulation will, of course, be used to worsen selectively overall conditions.
The fools don’t understand that the Federal Reserve Act, the Bretton Woods agreement, and then the move to abolish the gold standard have been the gradual abdication of economic sovereignty. There is no end to the amusement as some of the brighter amongst the cattle realize the true nature of the danger.”

VIDEO: McCain And I Ponder The Rigors Of CPAC Blogging

by Smitty

The rigors of CPAC weigh upon us. The need to swim in the upper-class-twit waters without having the nose turn blue renders the situation problematic. In this clip, Stacy and I ponder the tension in the situation as we deal with conditions that can only be described as arduous.

On a related note, tomorrow’s FMJRA looms. Those who’ve linked us, in particular on Blogger, where trackbacks aren’t what you might like, are encouraged to spam me with links.

Cinematography: Jeff Quinton, Americans United for Life

Update: While it is crass to blame the tool, the way that the ‘Visual’ mode in the WordPress post editor will HTML encode any pasted markup can be a trap for the exhausted. Beware.
