Teenage Girl Nearly Decapitated by Jealous Loser She Met on Internet

Posted on | July 15, 2019 | 2 Comments

Bianca Devins was 17, and just graduated high school last month, but she had tens of thousands of followers on her Instagram account and was apparently popular on the Discord platform. She’s dead now. Photos of Bianca’s bloody corpse were posted online by the guy who cut her throat so deeply she was nearly decapitated. The killer, Brandon Clark, 21, was described by the victim’s sister as a “family friend” and had apparently met Bianca online before they met in person about two months ago. Clark evidently wanted to be more than friends with Bianca, however, and became enraged after he gave her a ride to a concert and she ended up kissing and holding hands with another guy. More details on her death:

Police said in a statement, “On Sunday, July 14, 2019 at approximately 7:20AM Oneida County Dispatch received numerous calls informing them that a male individual had posted to a social media site that he had killed his girlfriend, and was threatening to harm himself. It was posted that this occurred in Utica, NY, and as such, The Utica Police Department began an in-depth search for the male and female.”
Police said Clark then called 911 on himself and “made incriminating statements with respect to the homicide. The police statement continued:

He also was alluding the fact that he was going to harm himself. After determining that the calls were originating on Poe St in City of Utica, officers were dispatched to that location. Poe St is a dead end street, which runs east to west from Culver Ave. The street terminates into a wooded area where the first arriving officer located a black SUV with a male lying on the ground beside it. The officer approached this male, and almost immediately, he began to stab himself in the neck with a knife. The officer requested emergency medical care, and the Utica Fire Department arrived soon after.
After attempting to injure himself, he laid down across a green in color tarp that was on the ground some distance away. The officer immediately noticed brown hair protruding from beneath the tarp and inquired as to where the injured female was. The male advised him that the female was beneath the tarp, and proceeded to pull out a cell phone. It was at this time that is believed that the male took self-photographs of himself laying across the deceased female.
Other officers arrived within moments, and together they engaged the male. They were able to disarm the male, and after a brief struggle, they took him into custody. He was then transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. His injuries were severe; however, he is expected to survive.
As more personnel arrived on scene, the investigation commenced. Officers and investigators needed to verify the condition of the female underneath the tarp, and as such, it was pulled back. Once this occurred, it was learned that a young female had suffered extensive injuries to her neck, and was obviously deceased. Numerous items of evidentiary value were located immediately around the body, as well as in and around the black SUV. . . .

According to police, “On Saturday July 13th, 2019 the two had planned to go to a concert together in New York City. Information that we have received is that they in fact did go to the concert, arriving around 7:30PM. They left the venue and proceeded back to Utica sometime after 10:00PM. It is believed that some sort of argument ensued at the venue that precipitated the following engagement between the two. Sometime during the early morning hours of Sunday July 14, 2019 the two arrived back in Utica and proceeded to the Poe St location. The investigation revealed that the argument progressed until the male produced a large, black handled knife, and used this to inflict the injuries that caused her death.”

Hey, kids, murder is not cool.

Blunder or Genius?

?John Hinderaker has called President Trump’s Sunday morning tweet-storm “a blunder of epic proportions” — an “own-goal,” as they say in soccer — and maybe it is, but Steven Hayward points out:

With a wedge opening up between the Democratic Party leadership and the noisy Four Freshmen reps . . . Trump has now forced Pelosi and every other Democrat to come to their defense, elevating their profile further and cementing them as the authoritative face of the Democratic Party. What’s the downside of that? . . .
Trump’s subtle target here is multiculturalism and “diversity” — the tacit premise of the left that America should be guilty and abject before the supposedly “oppressed” nations of what we used to call the Third World. Trump goes way too far as usual, but his bit about “come back and show us how” is actually a good argument. Once again, Trump may know what he is doing. What is it the old left liked to say? “Heighten the contradictions!”

Do I think Trump is playing four-dimensional chess here? Did he carefully calculate the possible ramifications? No, I think this was his gut instinct, but those instincts are usually rather shrewd. Because he doesn’t think in the predictable terms of standard-issue politics, sometimes Trump wins by doing what would seem to be the wrong thing, but which turns out to be effective in the long run. If Hayward is correct in his estimation, what Trump has done here will have the effect of making radicals like AOC and the Somali immigrant Ilhan Omar the “face” of their party, and make it impossible for Pelosi (or Chuck Schumer, or whoever the Democrats nominate for president in 2020) to distance themselves from these unpopular radicals. At a press conference today, Trump doubled down, saying these Democrats “hate our country” and “many people agree with me.” (Analysis: True.)

By the way, if hating Ilhan Omar is “racist,” we should all be racist. She is a very bad person, a disgrace to the district that elected her.

Professor William Jacobson Will Speak at DOJ ‘Combatting Anti-Semitism’ Summit

Posted on | July 15, 2019 | Comments Off on Professor William Jacobson Will Speak at DOJ ‘Combatting Anti-Semitism’ Summit

Today, the U.S. Department of Justice will host a “Summit on Combatting Anti-Semitism” that will include a presentation by Cornell Law Professor William Jacobson, whose site Legal Insurrection became a spectacular success after he read my “How to Get a Million Hits on Your Blog.” Of course, I don’t claim credit for his success, but it is a fact that he was impressed by my post, so you can take that for what it’s worth.

Professor Jacobson will participate in an “Anti-Semitism on Campus” panel, and says he will focus on the role of “intersectionality”:

The concerted effort to turn the Black Lives Matter movement into an anti-Israel movement has at its core the claim that Israel is the root of problems of non-whites in the United States. . . .
This anti-Semitic use of “intersectionality” theory flourishes because a generation of students — many of whom now are faculty — have been schooled based on lies about the creation of Israel and the Arab refugees created in the civil war and invasion by Arab armies. In that false narrative, the Jews are wholly evil and the Arabs are wholly innocent. . . .
The [Students for Justice in Palestine] strategy also had a putrid racial overtone, with SJP repeatedly emphasizing that all of the non-white student identity groups endorsed the resolution. The resolution thus was presented as students of color backing ‘Palestine” against the white Jews supporting Israel. This is the toxic byproduct of how intersectionality theory dominates on campuses, with Jews and Israel being the center of the supposed intersecting systems of oppression.

The Left fails to apprehend the risk of a “boomerang” effect. Like their incessant rhetoric about “white supremacy,” the Left’s demonization of Israel will inevitably exhaust the patience of intelligent people. There’s only so many times you can hear the same smears and conspiracy theories repeated before your eyes glaze over and you tune them out. And, as I’ve said before, bad causes attract bad people. The anti-Israel fanatics on campus are the vilest left-wing scum imaginable, and most intelligent students want nothing to do with them.

Thanks to the Daley Gator for tweeting about this young Japanese actress this past Thursday! If you’re a fan of the Kamen Rider movies & TV shows, she made her TV debut as the enemy Medic in Kamen Rider Drive, and since then has appeared in two movies in the franchise. Her skills, according to Wikipedia, are ballet and juggling, which seems appropriate for an actress in that kind of show. Here she is on the beach with the wind in her hair.

Aziz Ansari ‘More Thoughtful’ Now (But It’s Still Not Safe to Date Abby Nierman)

Posted on | July 14, 2019 | Comments Off on Aziz Ansari ‘More Thoughtful’ Now (But It’s Still Not Safe to Date Abby Nierman)

Aziz Ansari (left) and his accuser Abby Nierman (right).

In January 2018, after an account of a young woman’s bad date with comedian Aziz Ansari went viral, I immediately recognized that “Grace” (as the article called her) did not deserve anonymity. She was not the victim of a crime, and if Ansari’s treatment of her was crude and clumsy, this was unfortunate, but why publicly humiliate him and ruin his career by wrongly smearing him as a Harvey Weinstein-type #MeToo predator?

My post identifying “Grace” as Illinois native Abby Nierman didn’t exactly go viral, although it did attract about 10,000 clicks in the first two months after it was published, then declined until last week, when there was an unexplained spike in traffic to the post. What happened?

Aziz Ansari recently released a special on Netflix, in which he discusses the aftermath of his date from Hell:

Aziz Ansari wastes no time on his new Netflix special talking about the sexual misconduct allegation leveled against him during the height of the #MeToo movement.
Dropping [July 9], the special is titled Aziz Ansari Right Now and runs a little longer than an hour. . . .
The actor and comedian greets the large crowd of adoring fans before getting serious.
“You know, I haven’t said much about that whole thing, but I’ve talked about it on this tour, ’cause you’re here and it means a lot to me,” Ansari said. “I’m sure there are some of you that are curious how I feel about that whole situation.” . . .
“There’s times I felt scared, there’s times I felt humiliated, there’s times I felt embarrassed, and ultimately I just felt terrible that this person felt this way,” he said. “After a year or so, I just hope it was a step forward. It moved things forward for me, made me think about a lot. I hope I’ve become a better person.”
His situation led to some serious talks with his friends, he explained.
“I always think about a conversation I had with one of my friends where he was like, ‘You know what, man? That whole thing made me think about every date I’ve ever been on.’ And I thought, wow! That’s pretty incredible. If this made not just me but other people be more thoughtful, then that’s a good thing, and that’s how I feel about it,” he said.

Yeah, OK, but what about Abby Nierman?

Her as-told-to account at the now-defunct site Babe-dot-net disturbed me when I read it, because Ansari was guilty mainly of bad technique. Abby Nierman was evidently willing to have sex with him, after he’d taken her out to dinner at a quaint riverfront restaurant, and they might have become a serious couple if Ansari’s technique hadn’t been so clumsy. It’s not just that he “moved too fast,” but that he moved all wrong.

How is it that a popular TV star in his 30s can’t do better than lunging and groping? His clumsiness, as described in the article, bothered me.

There seems to have been some kind of communication breakdown, not just between Aziz Ansari and his date, but between men and women generally in the area of sexual etiquette. Up until the point that they returned from dinner to Ansari’s apartment, everything seems to have been going smoothly, and when it started going bad — well, why was she unable to communicate to him that what he was doing wasn’t what turned her on? Or why did Ansari fail to pick up on the clues that his technique wasn’t working? She liked him, and had hoped this date might lead to something serious, so why did she manage their encounter so badly and then blame him, publicly humiliating Ansari in an article that sought to put him in the same category as known rapists?

While this caused Ansari’s friend to say it “made me think about every date I’ve ever been on,” it made me think of something “Red Pill” philosopher Rollo Tomassi has said, namely that women expect guys to “just get it.” Women believe men should automatically do the right thing, in terms of relationships. Men are expected to be clairvoyant, to know what a woman wants without her having to say anything.

When the Aziz Ansari story first went viral, one blogger commented:

The mainstream coverage . . . shows that leaving a woman unsatisfied is non-consensual now. Preventing rape isn’t enough. Women can’t merely want sex, they must enjoy it after the fact.

Indeed, and it was this story — even more than the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, perhaps — that convinced a lot of people that the #MeToo crusade had turned into a hysterical witch-hunt. Everyone agreed that Aziz Ansari’s behavior as described in the article was . . . less than ideal, to put it as politely as possible, but it was not criminal or predatory. By every indication, Abby Nierman was willing to have sex with Ansari, but his clumsy technique was a turn-off, and he did not “just get it.”

The title of my January 2018 post was “Guys: Don’t Date Abby Nierman,” and that still holds true. A woman who would trash a guy’s reputation the way she trashed Aziz Ansari is not a good woman. Unless and until guys are willing to show some solidarity by collectively avoiding women who act the way Abby Nierman did, the dating world will continue to be a dangerous nightmare. Be careful out there, guys.

Tacoma Antifa Terrorist’s Manifesto Blames ‘Rich Guys’ for ‘Evil … Concentration Camps’

Posted on | July 14, 2019 | Comments Off on Tacoma Antifa Terrorist’s Manifesto Blames ‘Rich Guys’ for ‘Evil … Concentration Camps’

In a three-page “manifesto” addressed to his Antifa “comrades,” Tacoma terrorist Willem van Spronsen blamed “rich guys,” including Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, for the “evil” of a system symbolized by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility he attacked.

Van Spronsen, 69, was shot dead Saturday by police in Tacoma, Washington, after he used molotov cocktails to attack the ICE facility he describes in his manifesto as a “concentration camp.” Van Spronsen was armed with an AR-15 rifle and in his manifesto urged fellow Antifa radicals to arm themselves for “revolution” against “fascism ascendant.”

In his manifesto, Van Spronsen begins by declaring “it’s time to take action against the forces of evil,” and cites such influences as anarchist Emma Goldman and Communist historian Howard Zinn. He claims that fascism benefits “rich guys” — naming Bezos, Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, Betsy de Vos, George Soros and Donald Trump as examples — who support governments that “make the rules that make rich guys richer.

Meanwhile, journalist Andy Ngo posted video showing Van Spronsen in a crowd of armed Antifa radicals at a December 2018 protest in Seattle.

Antifa Terrorist Shot Dead After Firebomb Attack on ICE Facility in Tacoma

Posted on | July 14, 2019 | 2 Comments

William van Spronsen, a 69-year-old Antifa radical who was arrested for assaulting a police officer at a protest last year, was shot dead Saturday after he attacked an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Tacoma, Washington, with molotov cocktails. New York Times:

The police fatally shot a man who was attacking an immigration detention center in Tacoma, Wash., on Saturday morning, the authorities said.
The man, who was armed with a rifle, was throwing unspecified “incendiary devices” at the Northwest Detention Center, according to a police statement. The man, identified by officials on Saturday afternoon as Willem Van Spronsen, 69, of Vashon Island, Wash., continued throwing lit objects at buildings and cars, the statement said.
“One car was fully engulfed in flames,” said Officer Loretta Cool, a spokeswoman for the Tacoma Police Department. “He was also trying to ignite a big propane tank but he was not successful.”

Seattle Times:

Deb Bartley, a friend of Van Spronsen’s for about 20 years, described him as an anarchist and antifascist, and believes his attack on the detention center intending to provoke a fatal conflict.
“He was ready to end it,” Bartley said. “I think this was a suicide. But then he was able to kind of do it in a way that spoke to his political beliefs … I know he went down there knowing he was going to die.”
She and other friends of Van Spronsen got letters in the mail “just saying goodbye.” He also wrote what she referred to as a manifesto, which she declined to discuss in detail but predicted would be taken by authorities.

More at Legal Insurrection. Liberals are celebrating Van Spronsen as a hero and demonizing the ICE facility as a Nazi concentration camp.
