Former middle-school teacher Neal Erickson, 38, pleaded guilty in May to having sex with a boy beginning in 2006 — when the boy was a 14-year-old eighth-grader — until 2009. His fellow teachers in Ogemaw County, Michigan, supported Erickson, writing letters to the judge asking for a lenient sentence. Any parent would be horrified by the sentiments expressed, for example, by Rose City teacher Sally Campbell:
“Neal made a mistake. He allowed a mutual friendship to develop into much more. He realized his mistake and ended it years before someone anonymously sent something to the authorities which began this legal process. . . . Please also consider that this was a one-time relationship with only one student and ended long before being found out. Both parties have gone on with their lives.”
He molested a 14-year-old boy, ma’am. To call this “a one-time relationship” — words fail. A relationship? A middle-school teacher and a 14-year-old boy in a “relationship”? Are you insane?
The parents of the victim in this case were outraged to see Erickson’s fellow teachers supporting this confessed criminal pervert, whose molestation of their son caused horrible problems:
The victim’s mother also spoke prior to sentencing, telling Erickson he violated her son and caused a rift in the family. She said the family appeared happy on the outside, but on the inside, the home was a “battle zone.”
“We couldn’t figure out why (the victim) hated us,” she said. “He went after his father. There were physical fights.” . . .
“You were his teacher,” she said. “You were his mentor. You were his friend. And you violated him.”
She added the victim kept the sexual encounters a secret and suffered because of it.
“He kept all of this a secret, and he went through emotional pains,” she said.
Permit me to digress: Do you think there might be . . . oh, I don’t know, an agenda involved here? Do you think Neal Erickson’s fellow teachers would have supported him like this if he had carried on a secret three-year sexual affair with an underaged girl? I think not.
Because it was a gay thing, see, Neal Erickson has “rights,” just like Kaitlyn Hunt has a “right” to have lesbian sex with a 14-year-old.
Nobody in the gay-rights movement or the educational establishment wants to admit that this is what is going on, that they are making excuses for gay people to have sex with minors, but that’s what it’s really about. It’s a good thing Neal Erickson isn’t a Catholic priest, or else this might be an actual scandal. But I digress . . .
Thank God, Circuit Court Judge Michael Baumgartner disregarded the pleas for leniency and imposed a 15-30-year sentence:
After making a decision on the sentencing, Baumgartner said he could not believe people were supporting Erickson after the issue came to light.
“I’m appalled and ashamed that the community could rally around, in this case, you,” he said.
“What you did was a jab in the eye with a sharp stick to every parent who trusts a teacher,” Baumgartner added.
The family of the victim has demanded that the teachers who supported criminal pervert Neal Erickson be fired, and have begun a petition drive to recall school board members who supported the criminal pervert. And guess what happened next?
A garage fire at John and Lori Janczewski’s house on Grandjean Road near Rose City destroyed the couple’s garage and melted the siding on their home early Saturday morning.
Lt. Melvin Matthews, post commander for the Michigan State Police Post in West Branch, said the fire is being ruled as arson. He said evidence gathered at the scene is being analyzed by the MSP crime lab, and new leads gathered since the incident occurred are being investigated.
The Janczewskis believe it was someone responding to their outspokenness against several West Branch-Rose City teachers and a board member, who they said publicly supported Neal Erickson, a former WB-RC teacher who recently pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct against the Janczewski’s son. . . .
John Janczewski said he doesn’t understand why someone would do something like this to his family.
“We don’t deserve this,” he said in tears. “We’re not a bad family. We’ve done nothing but stand up for our son, the victim. They could have killed my whole family. Whoever’s done this has no remorse. They have no soul.”
John Janczewski said he and his wife do not plan to stop. They are currently circulating petitions for the recall of WB-RC board member Mike Eagan.
“Whoever’s done this, we’re not going to quit,” he said. “We’re not giving up. We’re going to continue to fight, until the end.”
School teachers who are insane enough to support a criminal pervert are insane enough to commit any crime themselves.
Erica Ritz told the Janszewski family’s story Monday at The Blaze.
It’s time to wake up, America: Our country is now so close to the gates of Hell you can feel the heat and smell the brimstone.
AND ungrammatical. “Perceptible”?
I pray such is so …

Regarding the praise for Erickson by his fellow teachers and supporters:
No matter how many “atta-boys” you garner over your life for doing positive things, they are all flushed down the drain by an “aw-shit” for criminal sexual behavior with a minor.
Actions have consequences and immoral/pederasty actions result in not only highly deserved incarceration but the mockery and scorn of moral folks.
I will add that to my Mass intentions for this evening. 🙂

How can school teachers defend the actions of a fellow teacher convicted of child sexual abuse? http://t.co/MuUS6uz85J via @Opinionatedcath
It’s actually hilarious as an insult when you think of it.
“bag” -> useful, good things to hold stuff with
“Christ” -> teacher of love and compassion among the world
It’s like calling someone a ‘Martin-Luther-King-storage-jar’ or ‘Reagan-Ziplock’.

Proven fact: pedophiles always stop at just one teenager
In the ’30’s and ’40’s major unions fell into two categories: Communist fronts, and mob controlled. The best you can say about the mobbed up ones is that they had no patience with Commies.
Today the Mafia is broken, which is a good thing. It does mean, however, that we only have one type of major union now.

“…rejoicing that they had been found worthy to suffer dishonor for the sake of the Name.”
They know perfectly well what it means, but don’t want to admit it. They’re trying to say “Don’t tell me what to do!” without actually using the words.
Anyone remember this?

Same school district. Does anyone else think the leadership and staff of this district have some issues? I was on another board and the Neal Erickson case was not the first instance of sexual abuse by a teacher. Or the second.

There are, I’m certain, many garden-variety, common homosexuals out there who are not paedophiles, yet many of them are ignorant of, or choose to ignore homosexuality’s long, consistent, and irrefutable historical association with paedopholia.
They think they and their sexual issues are good and normal, and will preach that to the world and say that homosexuals are not paedophiles!
Yet they, just by living a “normal” life, are at least implicitly supporting in the whole rotten enterprise!
They will parade a “gay” and “transgender” children before the media, put GSA’s in the schools, etc. denying the grooming and recruitment they facilitate as having anything to with “paedophilia” – and they really believe their own BS!
So, the “distinction” you describe is merely academic…

There’s a connection, historically, between political homosexual groups and pedophilia political groups among other Marxist groups. Same as how there’s a connection between political African-American groups and political Marxist groups. And there are other comparisons– Marxism runs deep in the American left.
But let’s not fall into the trap of the association fallacy. Just because the NAACP is currently promoting the same causes using the same logic / catchphrases / etc as the American Socialist Party, and that this sort of connection runs deep, does not mean that all (or even most) people with black skin in the U.S. want oviet style totalitarianism, or that there’s something inherently political / ideologically about just so happening to be born with black skin. There’s a strong political association that’s unfortunate among the NAACP and other groups, but it’s different then the flesh and blood people. Nor does that mean that the people on the ground that marched in the 60s civil rights movement were communists and supported communist suppression of individual rights. And people that just so happen to be born gay and are going about their lives aren’t necessarily Marxist.
In general, Marxism (anywhere and everywhere you see it applied in Marxist-connected groups) is supportive of pedophilia as a part of, supposedly, the policy of destroying families and ending “patriarchy”. Anywhere and everywhere, Marxism supports whatever you can do to turn parents against children, children against each other, and so on– so that everyone can ultimately worship the state and only rely on the state.
There’s a deep historical connection between Marxist views and people that happen to be born gay, people that happen to be born Jewish, people that happen to be born black, people that happen to be disabled, and so on… political activist groups in these communities of people deeply are interested in Marxism. But you can’t apply the association to libel the whole group. Not every gay person is a Marxist. Not every Jewish person is a Marxist. And so on… there are connections between groups (the NAACP, Socialist Party, Communist Party, Anti-Defamation League, Southern Poverty Law Center, and so on) that claim to represent those flesh and blood people, but– for those flesh and blood people– their own family and concerns are most important.
Your average black / gay / Jewish / etc person that just so happens to be born in that community (not of their choice, but they were just born into it) is worried about jobs, health insurance, keeping the streets safe, and so on. That the Marxists speak to these groups and claim to help them is a travesty. It’s a moral responsibility among anti-Marxists to go to black Americans, Jewish Americans, gay Americans, and other groups to talk to them and engage with them– instead of just assuming that they’re lost causes just from who they are.

Wait a minit! Nixon was a Quaker. Purgatory must have a big influence on you.
Yep – I agree. It’s gay, therefore protected. Had the teacher molested a young girl, he would have gotten what he deserved.
Double standard – alive and well here in America.
I believe in these ethnic groups you describe there is a growing realisation that they’re tools and fools for buying into the socialist game… Not so with the gays!
Also if Reagan-ziplock-bags were ever a real thing, I’d buy them x-3
Apply the pressure, and keep the pressure on. Never relent, never give them a break. As one Confederate trooper put it “keep the Skeer on!”
Just put the damn kid-fondlers in jail already, America!
*cough*denialism about the Zimmerman fair trail*cough*
My quibble is your contention that people are born gay. This I disbelieve.
My belief is that it is a cause of nurture not nature.
That being said, I do not hate gay people, I detest the lifestyle and all that goes with it. I equally detest heterosexuals that engage in sex crimes.
We are all sinners and in need of Christ’s redemption and thus must reject and detest sin while loving the sinner and praying for them.
“My quibble is your contention that people are born gay. This I disbelieve…” — rmnixondeceased http://t.co/FkizHw9wXg
In the 2010 “tea party” election, about 30-40% of gay people supported the Republicans, which compares to something like 10% or less for African-Americans.
Just saying…

This is what’s going down in schools here in Southern California. It’s the Catholic Church all over again. Teachers molesting, the people in charge covering up, same damn thing. Every time a teacher calls into a local radio show on *any* topc they’re he squirreliest sounding people you’ve ever heard.
I’m starting to think decent people are in the minority.
