‘Defamatory Attacks’

Posted on | February 17, 2014 | 26 Comments

Earlier today, I remarked that how much “it makes me angry to think honest law-abiding citizens must condescend to answer the lies of a creature like Brett Kimberlin.”

Really, I’d rather ignore this — leave it to the lawyers, friends say — but I must assist in my defense, and today was doing some research inspired by “Plaintiff Motion and Memorandum for Preliminary Injunction.” And I swear, I trembled in rage at the unconscionable effrontery of this scoundrel in shamelessly lying about me:

Readers are invited to search for some example of the alleged “defamatory attacks” on Brett Kimberlin’s daughter that I have ever published on this blog. Have I “threatened to take depositions” from anyone in this lawsuit? Absurd! I have asked the court to dismiss this vexatious lawsuit, which is a farrago of lies. Interrogatories, discovery, depositions — I have no interest in any of that. Kimberlin sues me and then, in filing a motion for an injunction to stop me from writing about his meritless litigation, falsely accuses me of threatening to “take depositions” from people whom I have never so “threatened”?

The nerve!

There are some passages of Brett’s Paragraph 10 that I will not comment about, but I will mention that Kimberlin — a notorious drug smuggler, perjurer, forger and bomber who served 17 years in federal prison — is rather tardy in his indignant zeal for strict obedience to the law. If Brett Kimberlin had always been so scrupulous in his respect for law (as he now complains the defendants have not been), it’s quite likely no one ever would have heard of this sociopathic pipsqueak.

Exactly one person is responsible for Brett Kimberlin’s reputation as an infamous criminal. That person is named Brett Kimberlin.

As for the infliction of “irreparable harm” and “psychological trauma,” perhaps someone should ask Brett Kimberlin where was his tender sensitivity in this regard when it came to, inter alia, Debbie Barton’s grandmother and Carl Delong’s widow.

It makes me angry even to read Brett Kimberlin’s lies, much less to have to respond to them. “Attacks on a minor,” indeed!

BOMBER SUES BLOGGERS

An Unfortunately Busy Day

Posted on | February 17, 2014 | 16 Comments

Readers will please excuse the lack of blogging today. There are busy days I don’t mind, when I am busy doing things I want to do. Then there are busy days when, unfortunately, I am compelled to pay attention to Brett Kimberlin’s dishonest allegations in the Maryland lawsuit Kimberlin v. Walker, et al, in which four co-defendants and myself are being sued for one meellion dollars for telling the truth about Brett Kimberlin. You may ask around among my co-defendants whether I derive any enjoyment from dealing with a plaintiff who was described in 1999 by Slate as “the convicted bomber, habitual liar, and all-around sociopath who claimed to have sold drugs to Dan Quayle.”

Being sued by a lying sociopath is only fun if you have nothing better to do with your time than to refute his lies, and there are many other things I’d rather do. Nevertheless, in honor of George Washington’s birthday, I’ve decided to spend today compiling some research into accessible formats — work which I wish could have been done by someone else, but if you want something done . . .

Anyone interrupting me in this work can expect to get an earful. I have tried to ignore this thing as much as possible, because it makes me angry to think honest law-abiding citizens must condescend to answer the lies of a creature like Brett Kimberlin, who was notorious as a liar before I ever wrote one word about him.

“. . . a world-class liar . . .”
— Amazon.com

“. . . a top-flight con man . . .”
— Publisher’s Weekly

“. . . a fairly typical hustler . . .”
— Library Journal

“. . . a man whose idea of the truth is utterly malleable
. . . a dangerous smooth talker . . .”

— Kirkus Reviews

Knowing that Brett Kimberlin’s dishonesty has been so notorious for so long, perhaps you can understand why it is irritating to have to confront his lies, as though it were insufficient refutation to say, “Of course it is untrue — Brett Kimberlin is a liar.”

So I am compelled to keep working at this today, and ask your patience at the lack of blogging. But there is this bit of news: Nominations for the 2014 Blog Bash Awards are out, and my reporting on the Kaitlyn Hunt case is nominated.

And now, back to the Siberian salt mines . . .

“Old Worn Out Suits And Shoes,
I Don’t Pay No Union Dues”

by Smitty

Stacy already covered the delightful news about organized crime–I mean, UAW–getting told to twerk off in Chattanooga, TN by a vote of 712 to 626. The schadenfreude-licious fact missing from Stacy’s writeup is (emphasis mine)

VW didn’t fight the UAW campaign, which may have cost as much as $5 million and lasted more than two years, said Gary Chaison, a labor law professor at Clark University in Worcester, Mass.
A victory would have added momentum as the UAW seeks to sign up workers at a Daimler AG factory in Vance, Ala., and other foreign automakers, known as transplants, that settled in the southern United States to take advantage of tax breaks, non-union labor and easy access to market.
Now, the UAW must regroup, he said.

This is nearly as good as Wisconsin rejecting public sector union efforts to unseat Governor Walker. Kudos all around.

I should say that private sector unions had their historical place, and I support the right of workers to vote for unions to pick their pockets, distort the labor market, and scare away jobs to whatever degree workers see fit. However, factors such as OSHA and social media seem to have really blown up the use-case for unions, and it cheers the heart to see these Tennessee Volunteers not volunteering for auto-economic asphyxiation. (Is the UAW, itself, auto-economic asphyxiation? Now there’s a gag that we should explore. (Do you ever feel like your jokes may be swerving all over the road?))

In other don’t-unions-just-suck news, the EvilDiabolicalSatanic Koch brothers

OpenSecrets.org tallied the top donors in federal elections between 1989 and 2014. Koch Industries — privately owned by the Evil Koch Bros — is on the list, to be sure, but doesn’t appear until the 59th slot, with $18 million in donations, 90 percent of which went to Republicans.
So who occupies the 58 spots ahead of the Evil Koch Bros? Six of the top 10 are … wait for it … unions. They gave more than $278 million, with most of it going to Democrats.
These are familiar names: AFSCME ($60.6 million), NEA ($53.5 million), IBEW ($44.4 million), UAW ($41.6 million), Carpenters & Joiners ($39.2 million) and SEIU ($38.3 million).
In other words, the six biggest union donors in American politics gave 15 times more to mostly Democrats than the Evil Koch Bros.

In summary, kids, remember: a union is a corporation without a product, and a political party is a union that strikes at elections. And, by the way: my family owns two VW TDI diesels, and they are outstanding little units.

Yeah, I’m Sure @Denise_Richards Won’t Have Any Problems With This

So, imagine you’re the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, the mother of his two young daughters, and your ex-husband just announced plans to marry a 24-year-old performer known for her roles in such “adult” video productions as Seduced by Mommy 2, Bondage Tongue Bath, Lesbian Workout, Lesbian Romance, etc. How would you feel about Charlie and his new squeeze having visitation with your daughters?

My guess is, lawyers for Denise Richards are going to use this as a reason to make sure Charlie never gets to see those kids.

Venezuela: ‘The Government Is Taking Us into the Slaughterhouse’

Posted on | February 16, 2014 | 25 Comments

In Hugo Chavez, the peasants at least had a demagogic “hero” they believed in. Chavez’s successor lacks that dictatorial charisma, and people are starting to notice that socialism sucks:

Venezuelan opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez, the target of a police manhunt for allegedly inciting violence that left three dead at anti-government protests, said Sunday that he will surrender himself after one more demonstration.
Lopez said in a video that he didn’t fear arrest but accused authorities of trying to violate his constitutional right to protest against President Nicolas Maduro’s socialist government. . . .
Rioters burned trash and threw stones at police in the city’s Plaza Altamira. In return, authorities used water cannons and tear gas to disperse crowds numbering more than 1,000.
There is growing anger here at soaring inflation — which is up to 56.3% over the past 12 months — and a murder rate that, according to local NGOs, is one of the world’s highest.
“The government is taking us into the slaughterhouse,” said Valentina Ortiz, 33, a pediatrician in Plaza Altamira. “We’ll just be able to get food and water soon.”
Like Ortiz, other protesters vowed to rally until things change.
“It doesn’t matter how long it takes, a week, a month. We’ll be here every single day,” said Jose Pérez, 34. “We are at war.”

Socialism: People keep on trying it, and it keeps on failing.

Miracles Still Happen

Perhaps my method — relentless sarcasm — is not ideal, but somebody’s got to be Andy Sipowicz. Jesus gets to be the “Good Cop”:

As a professor of English and women’s studies, on the track to becoming a tenured radical, I cared about morality, justice, and compassion. Fervent for the worldviews of Freud, Hegel, Marx, and Darwin, I strove to stand with the disempowered. I valued morality. . . .
After my tenure book was published, I used my post to advance the understandable allegiances of a leftist lesbian professor. . . .
I began researching the Religious Right and their politics of hatred against queers like me. . . .
As a postmodern intellectual, I operated from a historical materialist worldview, but Christianity is a supernatural worldview. . . .

Spoiler alert: “Hate” wins. Way to go, Good Cop.

Dissent Must Be Abolished!

Posted on | February 16, 2014 | 22 Comments

Scott Lemieux (@LemieuxLGM) is a totalitarian commissar trapped in a college professor’s body. This phenomenon — trans-Stalinism — has become increasingly common in American academia over the past 30 years, as Marxist intellectuals strive to liberate universities from the reactionary oppression of bourgeois dissent.

So, a well-meaning columnist for a Canadian paper asked whether the trend toward supporting “transgender” identity in young children is really as good an idea as certain activists nowadays would have us believe. In fact, some therapists and academic researchers have profound concerns about this trend. Predictably, Margaret Wente’s column pushed Lemieux’s button.

THIS CANNOT BE PERMITTED!

Wente is “revolting . . . a crackpot” and, most horrifying to Lemieux, Wente is “being paid to write these atrocious columns.”

How dare she? A journalist committing journalism for money!

Certified Reactionary Hater™ Donald Douglas quotes Wente at length.

Wente’s column doesn’t seem like transmisogynist homophobia to me, but Commissar Lemieux reserves to himself the authority to detect and denounce deviation from the Approved Ideology.

OBEDIENCE IS FREEDOM!
DISSENT IS OPPRESSION!
DOUBT IS HATE!

You will think what the Commissar tells you to think — or else!

About the @EllenPage #Lesbian Thing …

Posted on | February 15, 2014 | 78 Comments

While the whole freaking online world — to say nothing of the practitioners of allegedly objective journalism — were gushing with orgasmic joy over the news that actress Ellen Page is publicly committed to Dinner at the Y, some of us were respectfully silent.

And by “respectfully silent,” of course, I mean researching a massive article about the prevalence of lesbian sex offenders in public schools, but this turned out to be a project that will take another dozen hours of work to complete, so you’ll have to wait. Suffice to say, it’s a follow-up on “If It Was a Rape, It Was Good Rape” and other recent writings on radical feminist ideology. Anyway . . .

Ellen Page’s lesbianism was not exactly secret, and I learned of her “coming out” when I noticed a surge of traffic to an article I wrote in 2011, “Outing’ Ellen Page: The Politicization of Sex and the Sexualization of Politics.” So, no surprise and none of my business, except of course that the Official Gay Movement insists that it is my business, and all Enlightened People are now obliged to celebrate the fact that Ellen Page is as hostile to PIV as Radical Wind. Failure to applaud her lesbianism is hate. In 2014, if you’re not marching in the Gay Pride Parade, you are a bigoted enemy of Progress and Equality.

Being told what to think has never been my idea of freedom, however, and my habitual skepticism is aroused by mobs chanting in unison. Somehow, totalitarian groupthink always reminds me of the sound of hobnailed boots marching over broken glass.

Did I mention that Ellen Page’s Pledge of Sapphic Allegiance occurred in Las Vegas, at the Human Rights Campaign’s  first national LGBT youth conference? Did I mention that the sponsors of that gay youth conference include the nation’s two largest  teacher’s unions, the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers? Because nothing says “safety and inclusion” like teenagers getting together with public school teachers to spend Valentine’s Day weekend celebrating their homosexuality in Las Vegas.

IYKWIMAITYD.

Well, that massive article about the prevalence of lesbian sex offenders in public schools isn’t going to write itself . . .

UPDATE: Professor Donald Douglas has video of Ellen Page’s speech, which he calls “mock-worthy.” Failure to applaud homosexuality is hate. I’m sure the People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs has added this reactionary outburst to Donald’s file.
