Donald Douglas at American Power: “[O]ne of the hottest conservative causes of the year, and Romney waffles?”
And according to Zogby, in a head-to-head matchup, Herman Cain beats Romney more than 2-to-1 — 63% to 29%
Try putting that on your whiteboard, Karl Rove!

That’s right, Stacy’s cousin Meghan endorsed Bruce CampbellMitt Romney, as reported by the Lonely Conservative. Maggy also, apparently, chilled out in Zuccotti Park with the #OWS crowd. Ah, the Progressive pride parade.
Just don’t call her Green, m’kay? She’ll think that means you’re calling her an airhead, or something.
Update: linked by Nice Deb.
Update II: via Protein Wisdom, Maggie on Don Imus, comparing talking to him to getting lectured at by her father is just a trifle weird. Some of her commentary is actually interesting, but not enough to coax me into reading her regularly. The whole short life thing.

A 27-year-old Missoula man at the Occupy Missoula encampment on the Missoula County Courthouse lawn is accused of getting an 11-year-old boy drunk. . . .
Authorities found the boy unconscious in Skinner’s tent.
First the 14-year-old girl assaulted in Dallas, and now this. Joe Biden warned us this would happen if Congress didn’t pass the jobs bill.

Statewide chairs: Former St. Petersburg Mayor (and Mitt Romney supporter) Rick Baker; former State Sen. (and expected Rick Perry supporter) Carey Baker; former Jeb Bush chief Kathleen Shanahan; state Rep. Scott Plakon, R-Longwood.

BREAKING: #OWS PROTESTERS IN OAKLAND CLASH WITH POLICE
Posted on | October 26, 2011 | 10 Comments
Zombie at PJM has video, photos and expects further updates:
Chaos reigns on the streets of Oakland tonight as rioting has broken out when Occupy protesters tried to reclaim their camp from the police. . . .
After the Occupy Oakland encampment was torn down early Tuesday morning by police, the ousted protesters reconvened outside the Oakland Library on Tuesday afternoon and voted to attempt a re-occupation of the same plaza from which they had just been evicted. . . .
After an hours-long standoff at 14th and Broadway, interrupted by several confrontations and arrests, everything started to turn violent some time after 9:30pm.
Occupy Oakland demonstrators clashed all over downtown Tuesday night with police who lobbed tear gas at least three times in futile attempts to fully disperse the more than 1,000 people who took to the streets after the early-morning raid of the movement’s encampment.
The rolling protest came about 12 hours after hundreds of police from throughout the Bay Area rousted about 300 people from the two-week old camp at Frank H. Ogawa Plaza. Tensions escalated after protesters vowed to return to the plaza.
“We had to deploy gas to stop people from throwing rocks and bottles at police,” said Interim Police Chief Howard Jordan, adding that he was unsure about what other crowd-control methods were used by outside police agencies.
There were unconfirmed reports that flash-bang grenades and wooden dowels were launched at protesters.
Stay tuned at PJM for further updates from Zombie.
UPDATE: The NY Times reports on the Oakland riot, including reports that some protesters sang “We Shall Overcome” — as if these mangy white hipsters are victims of injustice and the Oakland P.D. is commanded by Bull Connor.
Because Young People Aren’t Reminded Often Enough How Ignorant They Are

In answer to a question about Occupation Wall Street: “Why does Generation Y blame capitalism — and not Obama — for its misfortunes?”
The teaching of “self-esteem” in schools has bred insolence in youth, so that it never occurs to young people to think: “Hey, maybe I’m wrong.”
Sixty-six percent of those under 30 voted for Obama. When his policies fail, they are incapable of thinking that perhaps their choice was unwise. Instead, it must be some sort of trick, for which scapegoats are to blame.

“Steven Tyler smashed his face during a “nasty fall” in a hotel shower … knocking out several teeth … this according to multiple reports out of Paraguay.”
That’s got to be embarrassing. Like being left off the BlogCon agenda.
I need something to cheer me up. Like Lindsay Lohan nude.
