Tuesday’s Democratic presidential debate was so white that Antifa would punch it in the face, and moderators for CNN made it clear who they favored among the six white Democrats assembled on the Des Moines stage. We haven’t seen the memo from CNN chief Jeff Zucker, but it was obvious that the assignment was to (a) attack Bernie Sanders and (b) boost Elizabeth Warren. Perhaps many Sanders supporters — who saw their candidate get cheated out of the 2016 nomination by DNC insiders working for Hillary Clinton — will now agree with President Trump’s assessment of the media as “the enemy of the people.”

Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass:

What CNN did to Bernie Sanders in the Iowa Democratic presidential debate — stabbing him with the gender card on behalf of a weakened Elizabeth Warren — was cheap and unfair.
And it was shameful. . . .
What happened on CNN in Iowa was bad for journalism. But it sure was good for Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden.
Sanders, the authentic candidate on the left in this cycle, as he was in the last, was surging in the Iowa polls. Warren, also on the left, was fading, desperate and in full panic. She began waving her gender card on that dangerous Intersectionality Highway where Democrats, addicted to identity politics, often crack up.
Just before the debate, CNN ran a story portraying Sanders as misogynist who thinks a woman couldn’t be elected president. That’s ridiculous. He doesn’t believe that.
And at the CNN debate, moderator Abby Phillip took Warren’s gender card, fashioned it into a knife and stabbed Sanders just weeks before the Iowa caucuses.
“Sen. Sanders, CNN reported yesterday, and Sen. Warren confirmed in a statement, that in 2018 you told her that you did not believe that a woman could win the election. Why did you say that?” Phillip asked of Sanders.
“Well,” Sanders said, “as a matter of fact, I didn’t say it.
“I don’t want to waste a whole lot of time on this, because this is what Donald Trump and maybe some of the media want,” Sanders added. . . .
Before Sanders was shivved, Democratic establishment candidate Biden looked lost and frail and unsure.
Biden was like some elderly Uncle Joe retiree in line at 4 p.m. for the early bird dinner with the free Jell-O.
But who remembers that after Warren pointedly refused to shake her “friend” Bernie’s hand? Biden wasn’t even touched by CNN’s debate moderators. His questions were wrapped in pillows.
You might think all this is a coincidence, but then, you might be a moron. . . .

Obviously it was not a coincidence: The CNN moderators were there to trash Sanders, support Warren and — by ginning up conflict between these two left-wingers — thereby help “moderate” Joe Biden in the Iowa caucuses, by preventing Bernie from surging to a solid victory on Feb. 4.

It’s media malpractice like this that causes people to believe in conspiracy theories — the fix is in and the game is rigged — because it doesn’t require any evidence to see what is happening in front of our eyes and realize that it could not be happening by mere coincidence. No, some actual human beings at CNN decided that this would be the script for the Iowa debate, and it’s plainly obvious that CNN is against Bernie Sanders just as much as it is obvious that CNN is against Donald Trump.

Elizabeth Warren to Bernie after debate:
“I think you called me a liar on national TV”

Was this narrative of Bernie being a sexist who doesn’t believe a woman can be president manufactured by the “fake news” media? It doesn’t matter — Bernie’s supporters recognize it as a dirty trick. Whatever it was that Bernie actually said to Warren in that meeting, the timing of the story in the run-up to Tuesday’s debate was clearly not a coincidence. The people in charge at CNN want Biden as the 2020 nominee, and anyone can look at the polls as an explanation of what happened Tuesday.

 

In early September, according the Real Clear Politics average of Iowa polls, Biden had a commanding lead in the state, 28.5%, with Warren and Sanders neck-and-neck in second place at 18% and 17.5% respectively. A month later, Warren moved into the lead (23% to Biden’s 18% by Oct. 1) but then, over the next six weeks, however, Warren faded badly while Pete Buttigieg surged to first place in Iowa. Then in December, Buttigieg began fading, and Bernie moved into first place as Warren dropped into fourth place. Who benefits from CNN’s promotion of Warren at the expense of Sanders? It’s not just Warren they’re helping, it’s Biden — the Democratic establishment candidate in the same sense that Hillary was the establishment candidate four years ago.

As I say, this kind of blatant manipulation by the media feeds into the paranoid mentality of the left-wing populists who support Sanders. Regardless of who wins Iowa, Bernie’s supporters now have more reason than ever to believe that a corrupt establishment is attempting to prevent their candidate from winning. If the only way Biden can get the nomination is to have CNN and other establishment media do his dirty work for him, what will that mean for Democrats in November?

In 2015, a Florida prosecutor told the Miami Herald: “We encourage the criminals to post their photos and videos online. After all these years, they’re still kind enough to do it.” One of the cases to which the prosecutor was referring:

The yearning to show off, prosecutors say, snagged Bryan Yanes and two other West Kendall teenagers. They’re accused of plying girls — ages 12, 13 and 14 — with drugs and booze at a pool party before having group sex.
Miami-Dade detectives learned that Yanes, 18, had posted salacious photos of the tryst to the Instagram account known as “loverboybryan.” Though Yanes’ Instagram account was set to “private,” detectives got the photos anyway, with a search warrant sent to the company’s California office.
The three are awaiting trial for lewd and lascivious battery on children.

One of @loverboybryan’s criminal colleagues was Bianca Byndloss, who was 19 when she was arrested and I blogged about her case in 2014:

Byndloss had used the Twitter account @bibiMiami (now deleted) to promote herself as an “up-and-cumming [sic] porn diva” online. The Miami Herald reports her background:

Byndloss has two previous brushes with the law. In 2013, police arrested her on charges of burglary and petty theft, a case that was quickly dropped. In January, she was charged with misdemeanor battery, a case that was also dropped.

So as soon as she turned 18, Byndloss started racking up an arrest record and, although both those previous charges were dropped, now we find her charged with serious felonies — three counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a minor and promoting sexual performance of a child — in a case where the police say they have overwhelming evidence against her.

One might suppose, given the serious nature of these crimes and the extensive evidence which the criminals themselves posted to social media, that Ms. Byndloss would be spending many years behind bars. Alas, this is Florida, where diddling a 12-year-old is no big deal:

In a plea deal, a 21-year-old porn actress [in December 2016 was] sentenced to 10 years probation for her role in a drug- and alcohol-fueled sex party with three girls, the oldest of whom was 14 at the time.
According to court records, Bianca Byndloss this month copped to her involvement in the May 2014 incident at the Miami home of a male acquaintance. . . .
Byndloss was fined $754 and placed on probation until 2026. Two male codefendants, both of whom were 18 at the time of the sex party, struck similar plea deals earlier this year and were each sentenced to 10 years probation. A fourth defendant, a 21-year-old woman, was sentenced to five years probation.
According to cops, Byndloss and her codefendants “engaged in sexual acts” with the victims, who were 14, 13, and 12 at the time. Byndloss, investigators alleged, transported the minors to the home where they later drank vodka and gin, took Xanax, and had sex.
“Everyone pretty much had sex with everyone,” the 13-year-old victim told police. The 12-year-old victim told cops, “Everyone was taking pictures and recording the sex acts with their cell phones.” One video recovered by police showed the 12-year-old victim “digitally penetrating” Byndloss’s vagina. A photo uploaded to a defendant’s Instagram page showed a naked Byndloss (identified in a police report as “Subject #2”) posing with the 14-year-old victim, who wore only a bikini top.
During a police interview, one of the victims said that the group had also partied at a Miami Beach hotel, and that Byndloss and a male codefendant had sex in a bathroom with the 12-year-old victim.

Not one of these perps was sentenced to prison! Can you imagine if it were your 12-year-daughter — a sixth-grader! — involved in this? This gang of criminal perverts not only had an orgy with three middle-school girls, but they were posting photos and videos online and . . . probation? 

My God, who do they think they are, Jeffrey Epstein?

The Duchess of Sussex Is a Nasty Whore, and Prince Harry Is a Hopeless Fool

Meghan Markle is doing to the British royal family what Yoko Ono did to the Beatles. Prince Harry married a trashy celebrity, who is now starring in her own reality show, Real Housewives of Buckingham Palace or maybe Keeping Up With the Windsors. Harry is being humiliated by his wife who seems determined to make a mockery of the title, Duchess of Sussex, she obtained by marriage. What stupendous ignorance must exist in the mind of this minor American actress, best known for her role as Rachel Zane in seven seasons of the cable-network drama Suits, not to understand that her new role came with certain obligations, chief among them maintaining the dignity of the House of Windsor? Grant that their royal reputation has been tarnished by the Prince of Wales, who divorced Harry’s mother and finally married his mistress, to say nothing of the stain acquired by Uncle Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein (who did not kill himself). Despite such scandals, the royal family has remained generally popular, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth has never herself done anything that would detract from that popularity.

Now, however, the 93-year-old Queen might be smeared by the Duchess whom Rod Dreher calls “A Yankee Yoko In Queen Elizabeth’s Court”:

According to the Daily Mail, Meghan fled to Canada, leaving her husband to deal with his family. The Queen asked them not to go public with this stuff yet, but Harry and Meghan defied her. The appalling pair plans to live in Los Angeles eventually, but only after Donald Trump is no longer president (second term!). And — this is the kicker — if they don’t get what they want, including the right to capitalize on their royal status, even though they are bailing on their royal duties, they’re threatening blackmail:

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could give a tell-all interview to their friend Oprah Winfrey if they do not get their way in showdown talks with the royal family at Sandringham, palace aides fear.
Meghan’s US PR team is thought to already be in contact with Oprah, as well as several American TV networks for a potential no-holds barred interview.
Tom Bradby, the ITV journalist who spoke to the Sussexes in their bombshell documentary last year, has already warned that a ‘no-holds barred’ interview could be in the offing.
As well as Oprah, Meghan’s team is believed to have contacted the television networks ABC, NBC and CBS.  Meghan’s mother Doria has also been seen leaving Oprah’s home.
Now, a royal source said: ‘Harry and Meghan’s people have been reaching out to all the big US networks to explore the possibilities of a sit-down warts-and-all interview.
‘Meghan feels she’s been silenced and is no longer prepared to be muted. She and Harry feel the royals have been racist and sexist.’

(Hat-tip: Ed Driscoll at Instapundit.) Imagine going on TV to denounce your own grandmother as a racist. Now imagine being married to the kind of woman who thinks this threat of a “warts-and-all” interview with Oprah is a clever move. This is all on Harry, you see. As I always say when some man grumbles that his ex-wife is an evil crazy bitch, well, what does that say about you? A man who marries an evil crazy bitch is self-evidently lacking in good judgment. So it is not accurate to say the Duchess of Sussex is making a fool of Harry — he was already a fool.

As to the accusation of royal racism, Professor Reynolds is correct: “If you start with the assumption that charges of racism are usually self-serving twaddle, you’ll usually be right.” Beyond that, however, the very idea of royalty is inherently racist, since it assumes that some people are born with a hereditary superiority. It has always amused me how so many American liberals — especially women — who would never be caught in the same room with a right-winger (because we are all so “racist”), nevertheless often display a starstruck admiration for the British royals. Remember all the emotional gush over Princess Diana’s death? Or what about the media’s fascination with Kate Middleton? Do the American women who fawn over the Windsors not see the contradiction between their hatred of “racism” and their love of British nobility?

Of course, liberals are always contradicting themselves this way. Liberalism is really an expression of ambition, a desire for the kind of elite social status which in a democratic polity can only be obtained by advocating egalitarianism. The American liberal aspires to live like a Kennedy, with guaranteed admission to Harvard as an inherited birthright, but they expect us plebs not to notice the double standard — one rule for them, another rule for the rest of us. The blessings of Equality that liberals promise never seem to materialize, while the liberal elite send their kids to private schools that your kids could never get into (even if you could afford the tuition, which you can’t).

By the way, did you know that Meghan Markle’s parents are divorced, her grandparents were divorced, and both her half-siblings (from her father’s first marriage) are divorced? Meghan herself has already divorced one husband, and if Harry thinks he’s not headed for divorce, he should think again. He is making a public spectacle of himself, and bringing disgrace upon his family, for the sake of a woman who is just using him temporarily — a plaything with which she’ll soon grow tired.

Crazy People Are Dangerous: Canadian Tranny ‘Jessica’ Yaniv Attacks Reporter

A quick refresher, if you don’t know who Jonathan “Jessica” Yaniv is:

Yaniv appeared in court Monday on weapons charges — having allegedly possessed an illegal stun gun — and when a reporter confronted Yaniv outside the courtroom, Yaniv “flew into a rage and charged me,” according to the reporter, Keean Bexte of Rebel News. The attack was captured on camera, with Yaniv shouting: “Get the f–k away from me!” Bexte says he was struck in the head, and that police have been notified.

 

Speaking of dangerous crazy people, six Democrats will be having a debate in Des Moines, Iowa, tonight. It will be televised on an obscure cable channel known as “CNN.” Perhaps you’ve heard of it.

‘Threatened Species’

In May last year — late fall in the inverted seasons Down Under — an official of Australia’s National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) in New South Wales (NSW) wanted the public to know that it was a crime for them to collect firewood for the winter:

NPWS Central West Area Manager Fiona Buchanan said the warning to residents around Condobolin, Bathurst, Dubbo, Forbes and Grenfell is timely as it follows a man being fined $30,000 for illegally collecting firewood in the Murrumbidgee Valley National Park.
“We are getting the message out there that removing firewood, including deadwood and fallen trees, is not permitted in national parks,” Ms Buchanan said.
“We want people to know the rules around firewood collection, particularly during the school holidays when more people are visiting national parks. . . .
“Many ground dwelling animals and threatened species use tree hollows for nesting so when fallen trees and deadwood is taken illegally, it destroys their habitat.
“This fallen timber is part of these animals’ natural ecosystem,” Ms Buchanan said.

Such concern for “ground dwelling animals” — $30,000 fines! — may be implicated in Australia’s current wildfires, says Tim Blair:

Those natural ecosystems are now, across thousands of hectares of national parks in New South Wales, nothing but cinders and ash. Enjoy your protected habitat, little ground-dwellers.

Remember, despite the arrest of some 200 arsonists implicated in the Australian fires, the media insist that it is a “conspiracy theory” to doubt that “climate change” has caused this disaster. Those who call attention to facts that don’t fit the climate-change narrative are “exaggerating the role of arson in the ongoing bushfires . . . feeding a right-wing conspiracy theory,” we are told by activist Ketan Joshi. Arson is “a moot point, anyway,” he tells us, because “climate change makes fire spread quicker and through a larger area, rather than igniting blazes.” But his argument begins by embedding an assumption (“climate change” is to blame) as its first premise, so that if drafted as a syllogism, this is what Joshi is saying:

A. Climate change makes wildfires worse;
B. There are wildfires in Australia;

ergo

C: The wildfires in Australia were made worse by climate change.

This is a tautology, rather than an actual argument. And if you are familiar with the myth-making machinery of “climate change,” you will not be surprised to learn that when MSNBC needed an “expert” to explain the Australian wildfires, their guest was Michael “Hockey Stick” Mann, who will sue you if you suggest he’s engaged in massive fraud.
