The ad buys are interesting news — but hardly predictive. Why all the false bravado and pseudo certainty about the ballot results? The campaigns are playing the cards they can play because outcomes in many states are highly unknowable. Let’s vote and see what happens.

Oh, and I was going to break down and watch the MSNBC clip, but it’s a Romney ad, not Halperin.

The Gallup number is even more interesting when you consider that, at least according to Josh Jordan, Romney’s GOTV is trying to move its low propensity voters toward early voting and Obama’s is trying to move all its voters, including high propensities, toward early voting.

I said it earlier in another thread – the “War on Coal” theme is a definite Repub winner in PA, OH, KY, & WV. That coupled with the increases in electrical rates here and announced plant closings are poison to Dems. I would like to see the Repubs hammer it home even harder here in Ohio. It would be absolutely awesome if we could pick off “Share-it” Brown too!!

You deserved that ration. If, as it appears, Mr. Romney is elected, then that will be merely the end of the beginning. The next phase in our war to restore our freedoms and liberties begins on 07 November as we begin our battle against the GOP Establishment and fight to keep the new President from doing those anti-conservative things he has promised to do and to keep him from wimping out on those few conservative things he vowed to do.

The problem is that Romney spends more on salaries for managers and uses volunteers at their professional direction, while Obama pays everybody, but less. No doubt the early-vote GOTV peeps are being paid by the voter, so they aren’t worrying about “low propensity” – it doesn’t affect their pay unless the person can’t be convinced to vote. So they target the easiest, which just shifts their sure votes from Election Day to an envelope.

That’s just the sad and sorry truth. The record of the GOP establishment, while in power, is actually worse than the Dems ever were.
