This new ad from Ed Gillespie shows he’s as serious as lung cancer about November:After five years of Obama’s running cluster-frack (you pick the issue, ObamaCare looming largest) it really is time for the voters to say ENOUGH to all of this Progressivism.

A rant:

The Democrats have weaponized the IRS to go after the Tea Parties. I say “forget” that. Just because they scored a mission kill on Tea Party leadership in 2012 is no reason to let that be the end of matters. I’d like to see the funding to stage large rallies move from the traditional 501c organizations, to more distributed, ad-hoc organizations. If we want another Tax Day Tea Party, we need to make it happen via KickStarter, or whatever. Are we really so whipped by this Progressive crap that we can’t protect liberty without a tax write-off? Really? Overthrow both the Progressives AND the godforsaken IRS, say I.

Under no circumstances should the blatantly un-American actions of the IRS be permitted to go unanswered. And let’s not wait on the GOP for relief, m’kay? While it’s worthwhile to support a GOP candidate over the odious Warner, the party as such may care more about its power than restoring liberty.

To creepy old perverts who watch gay teen porn videos on the Internet, he was previously known only as “Noel,” but now the media have decided to make Robert Marucci and his mother famous:

Robert Marucci makes no apologies for performing in porn and considers his work like any other job. . . .
His mother, Melyssa Lieb, said she knew her son was working in adult films, adding that he took the roles to support her financially.
“I think he’s the most awesome person in the world,” she said. . . .
Lieb said the [Cocoa High School] principal told her, “He was expelled due to his explicit lifestyle career.”
“I think that it is Dr. [Stephanie] Soliven’s morals and her personal beliefs and I don’t think that this is anybody’s business except for my son’s,” said Lieb.

See? The 18-year-old porn star’s mother says he’s “the most awesome person in the world”! The Florida Way of Life™ is going worldwide!

And can you guess who is most excited about this?

Did I mention Obama got 4,235,270 votes in Florida? Pretty sure I did.

Marucci has appeared in several scenes on the bareback gay porn site [which I won’t name or link] . . . known for using clean-cut, all-American type boys in explicit condom-less sex. Appearing under the stage name “Noel,” Marucci, who doesn’t identify as gay, is seen in a film participating in a six-man bareback orgy.

So it was not “safe sex,” and the “clean-cut, all-American type” who did an orgy with five other guys “doesn’t identify as gay.”

It’s just The Florida Way of Life™!

UPDATE II: Brevard board supports barebacking teen:

The district denies that Robert Marucci was previously suspended because of his role in gay pornography and said the principal, who has taken a lot of heat because of the incident, called Marucci this morning. Brevard Schools spokeswoman Michelle Irwin said Principal Stephanie Soliven and Marucci reached an agreement and he would return to school on Wednesday. . . .
“It’s easy to become emotional about a situation when it looks like a student is being targeted for his lifestyle choices, that is not the case here,” Irwin said. . . .
“We would never suspend a student for his job or job-related activities,” Irwin, the district spokeswoman, told FLORIDA TODAY this morning.

See? Robert Marucci’s “lifestyle choices” won’t keep him out of Cocoa High School, because six-way gay bareback orgy videos are acceptable as “job-related activities” in Brevard County.

UPDATE III: In a comment below, “Art Deco” says Florida public records show that Marucci’s mother, Melyssa Lieb, 41, was only briefly married to the boy’s father, Robert L. Marucci, Jr., in 1996-97. If Markus’s online document research is correct, the porn star’s father had previously been divorced in 1994, and the teenager’s grandfather, Robert L. Marucci, Sr., was also twice divorced in 1978 and 1981. So that would be four divorces in less than 20 years for two generations of Marucci men.

Florida, the Crazy State: Brevard Students Rally to Defend Gay Teen Porn Star

Nothing is more important to the citizens of Florida than the right of teenagers to have gay sex on camera for money:

A high school senior from Brevard County, Florida, was suspended last week for creating a “campus disturbance.” His crime? Starring in a gay porn video on [a Web site I won’t link].
“Noel,” an 18-year-old Cocoa High School senior, was “severely bullied” by several classmates after word spread of the video’s existence. Instead of doing something sensible, like punishing the bullies, administrators decided to suspend Noel for participating in a completely legal, non-school-related activity. The forced suspension then led to him failing classes, which prevents him from being able to graduate.

See? The story here is not about teenagers getting paid to perform sodomy on video. No, this is about homophobic “bullying”:

Word of his suspension over the video soon spread through his school and a large group of Cocoa High School students rallied against Noel’s suspension on social media, changing their Facebook profile photo to a blue square with the slogan ‘Support [Noel’s real name].’
A large group of students reportedly skipped 7th period on Friday and gathered to stomp and shout his name in the school’s quad in protest.
A classmate posted a photo of the protest action to social media, writing ‘All these people be protesting and stomping and yelling [Noel’s real name] like there be an earthquake.’
The same day Noel posted to Facebook that he intended to challenge his suspension.
‘Coming back to Cocoa isn’t the best for me but bringing justice to the disciplinary system and discrimination of the administration has not slipped my mind either,’ he wrote.

The Florida Way of Life™ is at stake! Every Florida parent hopes their child can work in the state’s lucrative gay teen porn industry.

It is the job of Florida public schools to prepare kids to have sex on video for the pleasure of creepy old guys worldwide.

Did I mention Obama got 4,235,270 votes in Florida?

NYC Elementary School’s ‘Lunatic’ Principal Who Can’t Spell ‘Gratitude’

E.C. Hackett at Blackmailers Don’t Shoot has been all over the case of Marcella Sills, principal of New York City’s P.S. 106 in Far Rockaway, Queens. Sills has a history of aggressive incompetence, yet the catastrophe that is P.S. 106 received an “A” grade under Mayor Bloomberg’s worthless system. Of course, the local hack politician — in this case, Queens Councilman Donovan Richards — offers excuses, trying to blame Hurricane Sandy for the problem. Now comes the news that complaints about Sills go all the way back to 2005:

Sills, 48, was a graduate of the [Department of Education’s] “Leadership Academy,” which trains principals, and had little teaching experience. Insiders said she lacked literacy skills, noting her invitation to a Nov. 23, 2005, holiday buffet “in honor of my gradutitude” to employees, including “security personel” and “custodially staff members.”

“Gradutitude”?

This is a woman whose annual pay — as best I can tell from the salary schedule posted by her union — is about $130,000 a year. And teachers have been complaining about her for years:

“You need to examine Ms. Sills’ inability to lead,” says a 2006 letter from a “concerned teacher” to top Department of Education officials, including Carmen Fariña — now the city’s newly installed chancellor — and then-Chancellor Joel Klein. “Teacher morale is at an all-time low.” . . .
The Post revealed last week that Sills for years has arrived hours late, and often failed to show, school sources said. Over the previous week, Sills missed all but one day.
The Far Rockaway school had no math or English textbooks for the rigorous new Common Core curriculum, no gym or art classes — kids watched movies instead — and no nurse’s office. Kindergartners sit in trailers that reeked of animal urine.  . . .
A 2006 letter to Klein called Sills “vicious,” saying she “humiliated” children who were emotionally disturbed and punished school aides who complained about “unsafe, deplorable conditions” in the cafeteria. . . .
Sills ruled by threats and intimidation, ex-staffers complained. She “yells at a volume that resounds throughout the building, slams doors and uses foul language,” a 2006 letter to Condon claims.
That letter also accuses Sills of racism: “She has hired only black teachers and has targeted white teachers and a secretary.” Many left or were forced out.

Gosh, somebody ought to write a book about this problem.

Islamist militants stormed a village in remote northeast Nigeria on Monday, torching houses and spraying them with bullets in an attack that killed 18 people, witnesses said.
The latest Boko Haram assault, on Sunday night, came hours before Nigeria’s four top military chiefs handed over to fresh commanders in a ceremony on Monday.
President Goodluck Jonathan announced the reshuffle of his entire military leadership last week in a bid to reinvigorate the fight against the insurgents.
“Most of those who survived the attack have fled the village as they do not know if they will be attacked again,” said Bulama Ibrahim, the chief of Alau Ngawo village, which was attacked sometime after 10 p.m. on Sunday. . . .
The village lies in remote northeastern Borno state, the epicenter of the insurgency and relic of Nigeria’s oldest medieval Islamic caliphate, which once prospered from trans-Saharan trade routes passing though the largely Muslim north.
Boko Haram is fighting to re-establish an Islamic kingdom in northern Nigeria, breaking away from the largely Christian south. Its fighters have killed thousands of people since they launched an uprising in mid-2009.

Just another 18 people killed by terrorists whose ambition is to forcefully take over Africa for a worldwide Islamic caliphate.

Professor Donald Douglas has been trying to get me to pay attention to this, and I’ve struggled mightily to resist. It makes my head hurt to think of it, but The Nation — a publication that spent 74 years cheerleading for the Bolsheviks — now has a sports blogger named David Zirin, whose output is about as zany as you’d expect:

Get ready for two weeks of stories that pit the polished Peyton Manning against his supposed antithesis, Richard Sherman. Get ready for two weeks of interesting coverage about how the best quarterback in the game and probable 2013 MVP takes on the best cornerback in the game and the probable Defensive Player of the Year at the Super Bowl. Also get ready for two weeks of utterly uninteresting coverage that paints Peyton as a Southern gentleman in shining armor who will hopefully slay Richard Sherman, Compton’s “loudmouth” dread-locked dragon. There will be more articles, tweets and commentaries from the media bemoaning Richard Sherman’s lack of “class”. There will be even more tweets from so-called fans that sound like press releases from a White Citizen’s Council. There will be a running loop of Sherman’s already “insta-classic”WWE-infused “promo” rant after Sunday’s victory over their rival the 49ers.

There is a word for such writing. That word is . . . bad.

UPDATE: Zirin is a comrade of the International Socialist Organization, and a contributor to its Socialist Worker site. The ISO is one of those Marxist splinter groups that you used to see at anti-Iraq war protests, handing out their grubby little tabloid newspapers and trying to sign up members. They were pathetic during the Bush era and are even more pathetic in the Obama era, where the the extreme Left is so completely co-opted by the Democrat Party (and vice-versa) that revolutionary Marxism is irrelevant.

 UPDATE II: To get a sense of the fringe nature of the ISO, you need to read this (long) manifesto by former ISO member Donna Chidi, who makes the point that leadership of the ISO, an organization whose members claim to see racism everywhere, is overwhelmingly controlled by whites. In 2010, there was a de facto purge of members from the Washington, D.C., branch of ISO, resulting in a group that is 90% white in a 54% black city:

[T]he leaders of the branch called an “Emergency Meeting” . . . in which we would discuss some important issues in our branch and which Ahmed Shawki of the national steering committee would attend and convene.
At this Emergency meeting, Shawki described reasons why the national steering committee had voted to expel Zach Mason and indefinitely suspend David Thurston of the DC branch. . . [Mason and Thurston] were not welcome to this “members only” meeting where the issue of their expulsions would be discussed by everyone else. . . . I commented on how sad it was to see socialists stand up and slander and crucify people they had worked with for 14 years and 7 years respectively without even allowing them to attend and defend themselves.
Among several other hostile comments made in my direction because of this, Shawki closed the discussion by inviting me to leave the ISO, although he has never spoken to me before, “If you think these guys are being crucified, then maybe this organization is not the right organization for you.”

In a 2010 e-mail to the DC-ISO’s (white) leader, Michelle Bollinger, Chidi mentioned David Zirin among her antagonists:

I believe it was made undeniably clear in the last meeting that I attended that I am not welcome in the DC ISO branch — especially in the comments made by comrades Dave Zirin, Mike Stark, and Ahmed Shawki.

Fighting racism by expelling black people? As a strategy, it makes about as much sense as anything else these kooks advocate.
